I was looking through the lorebook on prospecting, and I was wondering about some of the higher level ores. So far, the farthest east I've gone is a little past the Forsaken Inn, and the only types of ore I've seen are copper, tin, barrow-iron, and silver, but the lorebook lists rich iron, ancient iron, gold, and a bunch of other stuff. Where can I find these? Do I have to have some of the expansions/quest packs to gain access to these? Or am I just not adventurous enough?
Ore types are tied to the level of the zone. Trollshows has dwarf iron and platinum. Rich iron and gold can be found in Evendim, etc. As your toon levels up and ventures into new zones, you will encounter additional ore types.
"What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it."
Barrow-Iron = the mountains surrounding Gondamon, the roads on the way to Hengstacer Farm, The plains near Nen Harn, Northern Barrows
Rich Iron = North Downs, Ost Guruth area of Lone Lands, South Barrows
Dwarf Iron = Harloeg (swamp in lone lands SE of Ost Guruth), Agamaur, Trollshaws, North Downs near lvl 35+ mobs (don't have a fixed location for it)
The jewelers ores for these locations can be found in the same spots, but it's as if the ratio for those nodes is 3 metal ore nodes for every jewel ore node
