I am a warden obviously and I can only use one handed weapons. The thing is that one handed weapons suck. I am a level 28 with a 51 damage sword... Where can I get a better one? I check the auction house whenever I can ( I am in the north downs so it's a pain to travel) and there just doesn't seem to have anything worth it that I can use.
No wonder you think the weapons suck, your using a quest reward or a drop item, get a critted crafted lvl 28 weapon. I always use spears on my warden because I like to but you don't actually have to do that. If you do get a spear it will be a (runed? or was it hardened) yew spear. The lvl 28 hammers are also yew but I forget what the lvl 28 swords are, steel I think.

Personally on my warden I use a spear but of course that's a preference. Regardless you should find a weaponsmith or woodworker to make you a crit weapon of your level. I would say that you are just going to replace it at 31 anyway (all the single use/guild recipes are at 10 + 1 level so 31, 41 etc...). In addition to the level 31 teal item that can be crafted you may want to check out (in a couple more levels) the Eglian items available. There is a very nice wardens shield as well as I believe a spear and swords. One full run through the GA instances with the challenges and you get the 5 coins you need to turn in for one item.
Regardless don't expect to be doing massive damage with your warden anyway that's not what they are about and no matter how hard you try they are not going to come even close to say a champ when it comes to dps. A wardens true strength is taking on many mobs at once and being able to just burn through them all.
I too prefer spears but have used all kinds wardens can use and they all work one note i would suggest is get only the rare items from the skirmishes once you get a full set compare them to what your normally get and you will find there is a major deference and damage deference between your sets
before i did this i was about half the damage and deference as what my guy is and frankly i need to go and did it again but over about 20 skirmishes i doubled my stats
note it also costs a lot more to repair them but to me more then worth it
2 things u can do:
1 ask in trade for people to make you stuff. it most likely WILL cost you quite a lot, especially if you can't provide the mats
2 LEVEL YOUR CRAFTING unless you want to spend time begging others for weapons or looking through the auction house, you should definitely make your own. go back to bree-land and farm barrow-iron, copper, and tin again till you get to master journeyman in prospector and weaponsmith. for woodworker you will have to find mats from others.
I don't prefer swords over spears it's really what I can get my hands on... I am an artisan weaponsmithe( all there stuff is for a level 31) and a journeyman woodworker( finding wood from people is the pits) so it's not like I can't make my own it's that I either can't find the recipe stuff or it's too high...
Iam going to try and upgrade my woodworker some more tho.

correction: artisan is lvl32+
look at expert weaponsmith then (duh), its for lvl22-31 you can get lvl26 recipes from any weaponsmith vendor.
as for getting wood you could ask your kinship to help you out, or you can make a new character and use it to collect wood, your choice. if you ask in trade, ask in bree where ash is most common.
if i can get on in the next few days ill send you enough to master apprentice in both weaponsmith and woodworker so you can start mastering journeyman and then expert. trust me, its worth it; the crits are SO much better. just go to bree-land and MINE LIKE CRAZY, you need plenty of barrow iron to master journeyman. anyway ill see what i can do
Thanks man... I am already completely done with the weaponsmithe side of the house its just wood working... I will c if I can find someone in my kinship to get some for me. As for you helping me out its greatly appreciated...

Lol my brother had his guy logged in... So I accidentally posted something on his deal...So take what Pastylor said and thats what I said.
Hey I want to thank whoever it was that sent me those recipe packs. They told me to let them know if I still needed some more. I have 300 xp of 400. I need about 20 more and that would allow me to get start crits on journeyman. I know it's a lot but I always pay for stuff. While your at it can you get me 2 for expert weaponsmithe too??
no problem, ill get em to ya as soon as im able to get on again. unfortunately i can only get apprentice ones for free though; any other level packs you have to buy from the store for 25 tp apiece, and because they are from the store they bind to account. also the ingredient packs work for any profession, they arent limited like the crit items are
Ahh I see. Well that's a bummer.... Hey but thanks again.. I sent you some gold, I don't know if you've been on yet... But take your time with getting me those agrediance packs... I really appreciate it...
