I know a place in Moria that has a LOT of them. I don't know coordinates and the map isn't helpful, but if you go to Deep descent in silvertine lodes, you head south and take an east turn and enter the orc camps there, then go further south until the camp is over, leave and go a bit west and find through some stairs there are some alleys that look like Old town London houses, as in buildings with entrances one aside the other, there, in front of each entrance there are a LOT of tier 6 scholar nodes.

As for Tier 1, the swamps (in Bree, forgot the name of them but they're southeast of Bree-town) are really good if you don't aggro the spiders. Just make trips around the ruins where the spider queen is and go south(?) to the other ruins; I mastered this tier pretty easy when I found this out. I'm a lvl31 champ, and need some T5 spots to make those large master scrolls....any suggestions? I tried the castle (Gaibalizan?) something like that but after I got one node I was chased out of there and killed by the lvl42 mobs in there. So yeah, I need a place where I actually have a chance of killing the guys or where I can sneak around

Just wanted to share my knowledge of the best spots for Tier 1 nodes. I came up with a circuit that renders 7 nodes per lap and can be done by horse.

First you start at Ost Baranor (2 nodes) which is south of Bree. From there you head east through Midgewater Marsh until you reach Goblinhole Ruins (1 node). Head north until you reach Midgwater Fort (2 nodes) and north again to Woodsedge Ruins (1 node). Follow the northern borders of the lakes heading west until you reach Crumbling Court near Staddle (1 node). From there you can head south until you reach Ost Baranor again, the nodes should have respawned by now.

Does anyone have any good places to find tier 7 scholar materials from mobs?

I have an alt now and I decided to make her an Historian (scholar) as it goes well with my main being a Tinker. Plus, I am always buying potions and scrolls and half the time when I need them, the AH is empty or is full of non-crafted potions (no makers mark) being sold for super high prices. I figure why not make them for myself.

Anyway, my alt is only level 43 at this point and it will be a long time before I get to Moria to get to the tier 7 nodes. (I level slowly because I stop to smell the flowers so much... and I also still focus mostly on my main. Thanks to friends, kind kin-mates, and Jilla's deep pockets, my level 43 champ is already on tier 7 of scholar.

Since there are hardly any tier 7 scholar mats on the AH (especially the weathered text I need so badly). I thought maybe one night I will send Jilla into Moria or Lothlorien to collect some from mobs (since she's a tinker and can't collect from nodes, it gt to be mobs). Is there an especially good place to get these from mobs?

Tier 7? Westfold? Are you talking about this item? I highly doubt that you can get material for that tier in Moria or Lothlorien. You can get it from mobs in Dunland and the Great River region. The lowest level mobs where these resources should drop are the undead in the Bonevales or the Dunlendings in Trum Dreng.

You might also get these resources in Enedwaith from loot chests/bags.

Thanks for the tip! I should have equated it to mining nodes of similar tiers. This will work out well for me because I never finished the quests in those areas on Jilla. So I can go back and quest, have fun, and gather up scholar items for my champ!

Btw. I noticed that you can also get Westfold resources from loot containers in Mirkwood. That makes sense because Mirkwood and Enedwaith share the same level band (60-65) as far as I know.

Ihave noticed a lot of sealed wax and rohirick scraps on AH latley... does anyone know where they are being farmed in Sutcrofts...I say sutcrofts because the one who sells them...(300 per day) is always in sutcrofts..

They probably come from the farming runs in the Sutcroft and Norcroft dailies. Humanoid mobs drop them all the time.

I recently started to publish maps with locations of scholar artifacts I know of. I have checked them all recently and they are up to date. Surely, they are far from complete in some zones, but if you know some extra locations, I will update the maps.
In some zones however, scholar artifacts seems to be rare, like in Forochel and Mist Mountains. Even Eregion is very empty with artifacts (or are they hidden in instances I didn't check?). If you know any new locations, especially in regions with few known scholar artifact nodes, please reply.

With two Grandmasters of the Scholar's Guild, I've become the go-to source for my kinnies. They seem to get most stuck on T5materials, and are additionally curious about dye grinding.

For T5 nodes, I ride back and forth between Barad Morlas and Pembar - that's typically 7-8 nodes (total) every 10 minutes.

Farming, I do 100 crops (10 at a time) which takes ~50 minutes; I usually get 45-50 rare (dye) items. This is with the 100% crit items and L80 (or an Universal) Toolkit. You're just planting/harvesting, not 'refining' the crops at the workbench -- though you can refine (later) for easy xp -- while you watch a movie, for example.
