    Northcotton Farm quests

I got my first look at the new Evendim yesterday and I have to say I like the changes. However, there is one part that needs an update. I had originally quested out Oatbarton (and indeed all of Evendim) back well before LOTRO became free to play. Apparently some of those quests were incorporated into the quest group you get from the guy in Northcotton (whose name slips my mind at the moment).

The last thing I had to check off was helping Nibs and Halfast Gamgee. I ran up to Nibs and he had a dialogue thanking me for helping him with wolves, but that was it and there was no other pointer. I basically ran around looking for Hal Gamgee until I finally located him and talked to him. He gave me quest completion to take back into Northcotton, which allowed me to finish off that questline. He had no quest ring over his head either. So, basically, something needs to be done in regards to those who completed that content; at the very least, the quest pointer need to point in the right direction so you can find Hal Gamgee instead of wandering around Nibs looking for a guy who isn't there.

Just my two cents. Still enjoying the game as much as ever. If this is a duplication of a post by someone else, my apologies. I didn't see anything else referencing this, and no one in the advice channel last night had run across it before, so I thought others might be able to make use of it.

I was in the same situation, but I was sent back to that guy on the market place to finish the questline directly after just talking to Nibs. Didn't have to find or talk to Hal at all. I suspect you made a detour by talking to Hal first.
"HELP!!!!??" is not an appropriate thread title.

Nibs didn't send me anywhere, which was the problem. I had no clue where Hal Gamgee was, it had been way too long since I had quested in that area, and the quest pointer still pointed at Nibs. Either way, glad you had no issue with it. Maybe there is a randomness to it, or some other old quests floating around that one of us did and the other did not? I don't know.

i'm having much the same problems - but i haven't finished the Nibbs part of "finding something amiss" - i have found the dead animal and have waited for a wolf - nothing. and i'm a hunter so i tracked it and found it and killed it and still nothing.

maybe it's a bit buggy bc a lot of people seem to be having problems with it. I'm gonna leave and come back

This quest still gets stuck with Hal Gamgee not showing a quest ring above his head, and the quest pointer showing you to go to Nibs. But... at least the wolf came out nearly every time I went to the dead carcass.

Just wasted about an hour trying to figure out how to end the quest.
