    Question Looking for Fellowship

This probably isn't the right place to be posting this, but I have had little success with the LFF channel in-game. I am a level 40 Hunter trying to finish up the Blade that was Broken quest arc in Evendim and I need help completing the Tomb of Elendil instance. I would like a full 6 man if possible and I am especially interested in having a burglar join us, as I hear it makes things much easier. If you are interested, please reply to this post or send me an in-game tell and I will try to set up a time for a run in the next few weeks. Plus, if anybody has any advice on this instance, please post.

The world is full of peril and in it are many dark places. But there is much that is fair.

    Re: Looking for Fellowship

you might have luck with this post, but based on past experience posting ehre I don't think that many people on the server check the forums. You're probably best off asking in /glff as well as /lff because that quest is at the tail end of the level range in evendim so many people who have the quest have probably moved on to other zones. To join glff if you haven't already type /joinchannel glff and then (assuming it's the first user-made channel you've joined) you can type messages there by using channel /1. Also I've posted this advice in another thread on getting groups together on this server, it might work for you:

The thing about Imladris I find is not that it's necessarily hard to put groups together, it's just that people are strangely shy and respond much better to you asking them personally for help. I mean you should ask for help in the /lff and /glff (you do know about /glff right? If not, say so) channels but you'll have a much better hit rate by going to your social panel (o by default), setting the level range - probably 48 to 56 for carn dum/uru, DELETING everything in the location filter and hitting enter. This will search for everyone in the level range on the server that isn't anonymous. Send each of these people a tell saying, like, "do you want to do carn dum? 3/6." If you're looking for a specific class, you can filter by class there too and tell people that when you ask them to make them feel special . One thing to watch out for, though. People with a little blue or red icon next to their name on this list (you'll see what i mean) are already in a group so you might not want to ask them unless you're REALLY despearte .

I have had an EXCELLENT hit rate using this strategy when I want to PUG stuff. I've pugged everything from 3-person instances to literally full 12 person level 65 helegrod raids this way, and I play at oceanic times so server traffic isn't as high when I'm on. I did multiple uru and carn dum runs on level this way too (with a bit of kin help on top, but still), it really does work.
also, note that if you've got some kinmates or anyone willing to help you but they aren't on the quest (or have previously completed it), they can still join the instance once you've started it from the reflecting pool in tinnidur. I've helped kinmates out with it before using this way and I never finished the chain bc I was way over leveled when I came to it.
