Thread: new pvp set: how to get it past overblown AH price

the new pvp sets are cool but im at a bit of a loss as how to get it. it takes a TON of brooches, (8-12g)ea a small fortune of tyrant crests (prices differ but about 50-100g) and a few brilliant stones of witch are crazy hard to get and are worth up to 200g on the AH. i have 2 brilliant and 5 brooch. so i own about 460g in stuff? lol. for the effort its still not quite worth it (full set that is for hunter at least) though its worth trying. it takes a lot of effort........ i have attempted to farm the brooch and crest with ranger + a burg to loot it. only got about 2 (share 1 with the burg) in 1 hour with multiple interference's from creeps. with the amount of loot it takes to get just one piece... not to mention the entire set... it seems to take forever.

i'd like to know whats the most effective routine to get the items!

with pvp's unpredictability it may take till the next expiation to get it..... by that time a new pvp zet will come out and the entire effort is a waste. i find that even delving is getting annoying with the creeps in there ganking rock farmers.

i suggest that turbine half the cost of the sets and remove the brilliant stone cost, and make some item that can be bartered for it (like a heal insignia that heals you for little amounts every second or for every hit etc other stuff.

also turbine needs to make stuff that can be bartered for dull and glimmer stones, like creep pots, for freeps. after the initial farm rocks crazy stage DOF will again be a creep rock farming place if they dont.

If you havnt been farming them for the last 2 months your not going to get them. The sets are here now, the items required are constantly being checked. Youll only see the early birds with the set, or players with over 2000g

Farm tokens. Turn in at chests. Slowly earn toward set. Or play at ridiculous hours to avoid the primetime creeps that camp the locations and sabotage. So it goes in a PvP zone.

This thread smells of PvE QQ.

The PvP set is meant to be an "End-Game" set, it's not supposed to be easy to get......

Making something that requires an immense amount of time to get does not apply a degree of difficulty, only boredom

Sounds like someone wants to walk out of GV shoot a Creep in the back and have it rain gear…

It has taken me less than 1 month to collect my items; I know it will take much longer to get my PvE raid items.

The cost may seem high but it is based off a Freep starting from rank 0, by the time you get to rank 9 you could have created plenty of chances to obtain the barter items for gear. Unfortunately there are a lot of ranked Freeps so getting the barter items now will probably be tough unless you are from Fire Fighters or AnV who have been farming for the past couple of months and have most or all their items

Or nights like tonight when creeps can't be bothered to leave GV hill for 5 minutes to sweep the delving. =/

Boo hoo .

It's the state of PvP for the time being until more freeps come out. Expect many creeps to be around EC and on GV hill for a while... And be excited when you find one solo.
