Thread: data.lotro.com updated with Update 2 data?

Duwis,

I'm sure you've got about a billion things going on w/ Update 2 around the corner, but does the data returned from data.lotro.com get updated when Lorebook is updated with Update 2 info, or is that a whole other enchilada? If it doesn't, when might data.lotro.com reflect the Update 2 content? Soon?

Once the Lorebook is updated, changes to existing content should be reflected on data.lotro.com as things expire out of its cache. This can take up to 24 hours; new content in the Lorebook should show up on data.lotro.com immediately.

Hmm, if Lorebook is being updated at the same time as Echoes of Dead update goes live, shouldn't the new quests appear on Lorebook as well? Servers are back up but there's no changes to Lorebook quests yet, for example those new Evedim quests, Book 3 etc...

I said "once the Lorebook is updated"; I did not say this would be the same day/date/time as the actual book update. We are aiming to have it out tomorrow, but this is subject to change.

All right, understood I was in impression that Lorebook updates are always done at the same time as Book updates. This proves me wrong then.

As a rule, we try to update the Lorebook the day after an update to allow everyone to focus on making sure the game content update goes swimmingly. On rare occasions, things do align that we either go with the actual game content or slightly prior to it.

I am not looking forward to even more task quests with duplicate names, levels, and objectives in Oatbarton. I think some of the original tasks may have been intended to be versioned and removed.

FYI there have been two tasks in Tinnudir sharing the same name: Soft Skins. One of them got renamed to "More Soft Skins" I guess Oatbarton will end up the same.

I'm hoping so. I'm kicking myself now for not noticing this on Bullroarer and reporting it as a bug at the time. After reviewing the updated tasks in Oatbarton, it's almost certain that some of them were either intended to be versioned and removed, or were accidentally duplicated.

Okay, now the Lorebook seems to be updated (almost 300 quests more than yesterday), but for some reason for example Evendim listing returns only 90 quests (it was 92 before update) so if new content should show up immediately, those new Evendim quests didn't make it or...?

They (any new content) likely didn't get flagged appropriately for the wiki export. I'll be running through things to catch up on them, but feel free to PM me quest names (be specific!) of ones you find missing.

EDIT: The Evendim quests should be caught up now; again, feel free to PM me if you find any other content MIA.

are the jewelry etc with the correct stats? I got the feeling some are from previous builds i've seen an not the latest BR build; Can't check on live yet, so maybe they changed again

I've started checking a few items from data.lotro.com and so far, so good There are a lot of missing icons on lorebook for new items that I've noticed, especially the new armor sets. I'll shoot you a PM with IDs once I compile a list.

Will characters ever be updated on data.lotro.com? We still dont even have the new stats added with Mirkwood, let alone anything recent.

I noticed the Lorebook was significantly updated today and now includes the new loot for the entire update. However, it appears that a good deal of the stats are not matching up with the items in game. I'm not sure if this is because not everything has completely updated and is WAI, or if these stats did not update properly.

Looks like some of the new armor sets have not made it into Lorebook. Each class has 5 new armor sets for Update 2, and the Ost Dunhoth sets and PvP sets are present. However, there are 2 sets per class that I have not been able to find. An example are the Burg sets Ambusher of the West and Lesser Ambusher of the West. It's possible that these sets were dropped for the final release as I have not checked in game yet for these sets.

Also, most/all of the icons for the new armor sets are missing.

Hrm... Can you provide examples? I don't recall what stats were added with Mirkwood, and Nar is out of his memory brew...

let alone anything recent.

Not sure if you mean other recent stats/changes or that you have characters whose XML hasn't changed despite leveling, etc. Could you clarify further?

Icons always lag behind; we'll get them up over time.

Here are the stats added with Mirkwood:

• Melee Offense Rating
• Ranged Offense Rating
• Tactical Offense Rating
• Outgoing Healing Rating
• Incoming Healing Rating
• Melee Defense Rating
• Ranged Defense Rating
• Tactical Defense Rating
• Melee Critical Defense Rating
• Ranged Critical Defense Rating
• Tactical Critical Defense Rating

Additionally, with all the rating stats there is an additional percentage based stat displayed when you mouse-over them, which is not returned as well. This applies to all rating-based stats, not just those listed above. Or provide the formula(s) to turn rating into percentage.





Here are stats that have never been returned:

• Title
• In-combat morale regen rate
• Out-combat morale regen rate
• In-combat power regen rate
• Out-combat power regen rate
• PvMP Kills
• PvMP Deaths
• PvMP Killing Blows
• PvMP Kills Above Rating
• PvMP Kills Below Rating
• PvMP Highest Rating Defeated

And finally, here is a Wish-List of character data that I would love to see added at some point:

• Crafting Guild Data
• Reputation Data
• Traits (both earned and equipped)
• All Skirmish Stats
• Soldier Stats and Traits (both bought and equipped)
• Cosmetic Outfits
• Biography and any parent/child relationships
• Skills (Passive and Mounts [active and gambits can be deferred from level so not needed while passive and mounts can be added to through purchases])
• House Ownership Data
• Legendary Item Data (such as the legacies, settings, etc they actually have)
• Quests and Deeds (both active and completed)

And I am sure I am forgetting something so just anything else related to characters.

How does data.lotro.com work? Is it something we can use? I saw the API page, but it doesn't really give any clear instructions and the documentation link brings you to an empty page.

At this point, the next update will be for the release of Update 3; I've been spot checking the things mentioned in this thread, and it is looking good that the U3 import has caught all of these issues.

It looks like the Lorebook was updated today, though it seems to be incomplete. Several items are missing or have incorrect links.

For example, the item Stórrand is what comes up when searching for http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Speci..._slayer_bonus= despite the mouseover tooltip showing completely different stats.


Some items, like Cloak of Hwîn are missing altogether.
