Either healing class can easily keep up a guardian through the barrows with or without the shadow mit bonus. Unless your point was that you had a bad healer or something. You also shouldn't be losing all that much max morale by just swapping out 3 pieces of armor. Low 7s are low either way.
The minstrel that was healing may not have had fear pots, I kept noticing the fear debuff icon with the red X in it on them almost constantly for the entire 10s duration each time, I guess they had no fear pots. I think either an add or the boss kept silencing them. So that may have played a part. With the amount of healing I was getting I told the warden to tank the elite add when they spawn and told him where they spawn, told the champ to grab the normal add. The minstrel probably go aggro from the barghest before the champ could get aggro and he feared her or something I'm guessing. I wasn't paying too much attention to that part, wasn't my job - was the champs.
I sit at 19.9% shadow mit without any gears, virtues etc for it. I sat at 42- 43% with the right buffs for that boss fight. Would you rather heal a guard that has 200 more morale or one that is taking 23% less damage every hit?
If you're a hardcore raider your morale will probably be around 8k with good mitigations to boot, solo-ist you'll be in the 7s, thats just the way it is. Having a good group for the content far outweighs the nit picking stats when it comes to tanking, but having the right gear for the job / being prepared is a guardian's job.

The two heal proc pieces definitely do drop morale by ~300-400, and so imo are not appropriate (nor the little heals applicable) for bosses like Durchest or BG at large really.
For end-game raiding having unbuffed morale north of 8k atm, is quite a reasonable expectation...perhaps onward toward 9k once the new settings arrive -- but I will likely delay that a bit, see what the "lay of the land" becomes first ("she" can be one surprisingly crazee beeotch) and stick more toward the ~8500'ish area for the time being (at 8368 now with two +390's in instead of an extra 200 morale available atm).

Heal proc gloves lose agi not vit dont they? Not that I'm worried as I'm trying to find ways to lose vit because im over cap lol.
Heal proc is the way to go with the exception of a few boss fights like durchest. With the new pants coming out as well, it'll make running heal proc all that much more exciting.
45% chance at recieving a 75+ heal not including incoming heal bonus a hit is awesome. This even works on wight shadow aura and damage over time ticks. Adding this to heavy armor and not medium is great for allowing a guard to make up for the lost 5 - 7% avoidances compared to wardens.
Currently if you can get a 30% chance wearing 2 pieces this equates to the following over a 20,000 damage incoming damage boss fight if you heal for 80 on each proc ( common ). If you get hit with low damage DoTs like auras or green mob adds it helps even more.
100 a swing over 20k damage nets you 4800 morale back
200 a swing over 20k damage nets you 2400 morale back
400 a swing over 20k damage nets you 1200 morale back
800 a swing over 20k damage nets you 600 morale back
So does having a few hundred morale beat heal proc gear? I'm sure these figures will roughly estimate the average given time, sometimes more heals sometimes less, but overall I think heal proc is best unless the mob is hitting you for 1600 a swing.
To the OP, if you're in the mid 7k range I think you'll do just fine.

Assuming a man with maxed healing, 75* 1.2 = 90, 90*15%= 13.5, times three proc pieces, roughly 40 morale healed on average per hit.
If you're getting hit for 40, this rules. If you're getting hit for 6k, it sucks. I think everyone gets that by now. If you're trading mits or avoidances for procs, 40/X is all you need to see your percentage equivalent, where X is the average hit.
Though do keep in mind that one healer is usually more than enough for any group, so if you're fellowing, you should think about ditching the proc gear and losing some overall effective toughness for higher max morale, BPEs, and whatever else you can get, and just assume that there will be adequate heals. If survivability is a cube, one axis is max morale, another is mits/avoidances/vulns, and the third is heals. If the heal dimension is as big as possible, you might as well increase something else.
Proc gear earned its reputation in solo work, not grouping. Though I'd still wear it for some instances.
To the OP's question, besides jewelry that others have mentioned, also you could upgrade your cloak. There is one from Mirkwood and Endwaith rep (I forget which one, both have -Clog in name) which would give you an upgrade over the Algraig set cloak (especially if you aren't using the other piece of the set.) Both have at least 20 vit and 176 morale. Also you could consider dropping the Algraig shield and using a Lothlorien one.
Well My guardian is at lvl 65 has 8.3k morale unbuffed and against most have said,i got some even stats.665 Vitality 401 agility and 509 might. He dosent have such good stuff and traits are real low,i can easilly hit 10k morale if i had good stuff,Almost have 1 OD armor piece wich will get me 8.5k morale or so.Cant wait till i get good stuff
Keep in mind that this thread is over a year old and things have changed greatly since then. Rise of Isengard was released and there are many armor pieces that were changed.
