About time someone else had a server first. We haven't raided in months and i really don't like holding monopolies. Besides this thread was too dead for my likings. ;-)

Congratulations. Now start working on OD T2.

I'm on my cell now, but i'll update the main thread when i get home.

We have worked a little on OD T2, and with a little push we should be getting there soon.

On wound wing , the gauntlet phase is bedded down, still working on the mechanicsw of the Room, but it seems very doable, Challenge might take some time.

Also did the disease wing - and still have to bed down the tree fight - had it down to last set of adds once, and look like we should eb able to do this with challenge with a bit of practice - the add phase is tough but have worked out the pulls and can get throught it without too much problems we were just a bit tired in the early morning hours that effected our output on this.

Still need some work on T1 poison working on the second adds room t1 to bed it down, but we will be working
on these this week.

Also still need to complete Durchest hard mode, have been trying a few times - and will get there soon.

We have just downed Durchest with 10 gaurds

And are now the Bane of the Luitenant.

We completed the Dungeons of Dul Guldur on Challenge Mode this evening.

Apward, myself, and Thorfridvif

Since we're updating... (not sure really what the point of all this is, but w/e... moving on...)

The info on KoC is rather out dated (by a few months at least in some cases). I'm just gonna say all this is KoC stuff with few exceptions (even when it's with "non-knights of cool" they're practically honorary knights anyway given the regularity with which we run stuff with them. But technically many of the usuals are from Of the Relic, with a few from other randoms kins, if we are to give full credit to where credit is due. However at least half of the group are KoC in almost all raid situations, and a KoC is always leading it - generally Freia or myself. Pretty much applies to raids). Now that the disclaimers are out...

KoC had done (only listing the missing):
Dragon wing (with the usual friends and a bunch of pugs to fill us out a bit, but w/e. Only lvl 50 though. So not a big deal really. It would be interesting to see lvl 65 though... don't think anyone's done that yet)
Survival Barrow Downs (30+ Min, and no warden kiting for an hour. But yes, our guard did kite for the last few min, no more than 5 min)
Skumfil (HM)
16th Hall (HM)
Waterwheels (HM)
Vile Maw (still looking for a 6-man on this...)

Let's remember... it's all just a game, something to be done in our free-time. Until RoI comes out and there's a race for the 24 man raid of course, lol. At which point my beautiful halberd will be worthless... *sigh* (I'm totally gonna fail 3f...).

Hey App,

The list had (still has probably) a purpose when it was first created a few months ago. To create some much needed healthy competition in Crickhollow's raiding community. The problem was that Crickhollow had no raiding community.

When i started this list, even 8 months after the server was started there wasn't a single kin trying meaningful raids (i don't count Skirmishes, Helegrod or Rift as a meaningful raid).

So Lusitanius started hosting raids and inviting anyone that was willing to learn and spread the knowledge around. I started inviting kin and group leaders to join our raids, learn the mechanics and then share with the rest of their kins/groups. People like Ellouhollia, Erlessa, Lagg, Kallia and Blinx, Castielle, Spyra, Ewie and so on.

It worked, a few weeks later their own kins where doing raids and completing them. This way we showed the server it was possible to raid in crickhollow and before you knew it there where Turtle and Watcher pugs popping all over the place.

At that time, most kins only did Hele, School, GS. Not even the other moria instances where run. Thats why they are there.

Right now, it doesn't matter so much and, in all honesty, only raids should be there... what kin nowadays can't complete GS hardmode? Or Halls of Crafting? This post was not created as an epeen contest. It's not and it will never be its intent.

But things have a history and i think its important to respect and remember where we came from.

I don't know what you're talking about... Knights of Cool and what eventually became, and has almost ceased to be, fightclub have been raiding for a long time now. Granted it took us some time to gather a proficient and talented group, but we were running the raids (especially as KoC is a small kin that does not actively "recruit"). Moreover, we were virtually always making progress and were in the end successful (albeit, at that time it was after your group's success). So the healthy competition was already there before this thread.

In the more recent past our usual group has shifted to a larger number of Of the Relic's (especially recently). But quite frankly... no Knight of Cool was ever offered to be involved in any of your raids (except maybe Ewie, before he joined us, and who has never really spoken of you or your strats, at least not to me... him running with you was news to me). In fact almost any interaction with you, which can probably be counted on the hand of a saw blade accident victim, has been fraught with condescension and rudeness (for which no apology was ever given). So please don't try and spin this like we are your students and that all our success is due to your benevolence. The progress we made in our instances was almost always from our own hard work. We'll do research if necessary, but we generally try to figure things out for ourselves. And quite frankly, in most cases, the research we've done generally verifies our intended approach, or gives suggestions that doesn't fit our group very well (we have a pretty odd group make-up... 1 Cappy + at least 3 Champs).

So if it's not some big contest, and it's all friendly competition, then can we keep the snide comments out of it, like...

I tire of the underhanded remarks. There were 12 of us there... people got items out of it, and at this point several of us have the titles to prove it all. We did not, nor would we, lie about the things post here.

I think you got it all wrong, so i'll just put it short to prevent any misreading. English is not my main language, so bear with me:

- We've never grouped with Knights of Cool, so we could have never taught you anything. Your victories are your own.

- We've actively grouped with Of the Relic. Even before the where Of the Relic.

- Lusitanius stopped all raiding activity 3 months ago, right after we cleared OD. We are retired as a raiding kinship.

- My post was referring to a long past of the server, when no raids where happening, not even Turtle. I was explaining how this thread came to be, as you asked.

- Lusitanius and Larry/Crickelite started raiding much before any Kins where actively raiding on this server. As such, we didn't keep the knowledge to ourselves but we tried to share it as much as we (Lusitanius, Larry and Crickelite) could. If you feel this was condescending, my apologies, but it was not intended. I'm sure Erlessa, Feathil, Raveneye and even your own Venthan and Ewie can confirm this.

- It is usual practice from the LOTRO community to prove server firsts with videos or screenshots. It's up to you to comply, there are no prizes here. That's what a healthy competition is about.

- I'm still trying to understand where this animosity came from, i don't think i was ever rude to anyone, specially to KoC has you have pointed out our interaction is minimum.

- It seems this thread as brought me nothing more than trouble and snarky remarks and, as such, I'll stop updating it effective immediately.

Regarding the rudeness and condescension. Posting and promoting you successes and achievements is fine, I have no issue with that (Ewie is especially fond of doing so, as evidenced by this thread). However, there was an incident or two, admittedly some time ago back when Lusitanius was raiding, when some snide comments were made by members of your group as we were attempting to form raids and grabbing 1 or 2 pugs to fill out the group. Essentially to the effect of... "Wow, I didn't realize you guys were good enough to attempt XXXX." This is of what I speak. As I understand it, it cause a bit of a tiff between some in your raid group and one of your tanks who apparently stood up for us (props and our thanks to him).

But as you said, English is not your first language (which should not come as a surprise given the name of your kin). If we misunderstood your context and/or made any incorrect assumptions of your implications, I am sorry for that. We have several internationals in our raid group(s). And while everyone speaks English, there are times where we have to restate things for obvious language barrier reasons. Once again, please accept my apology for any misinterpretation (i.e. the tone of your screenshot/proof request and possibly the paraphrased comment above. Also, I wasn't actually looking for the historical review of the thread, and probably also due to a language misunderstanding, I did not interpret it that way. My apologies for that as well).

It is not my intention to push you away from this thread or anything, so please don't take it as such. It just seemed, from my and my wife's, Freia's, perspective, that an inaccurate portrayal of events was being presented. Hello all

Second Breakfast and friends completed Thorog today - OK , it's a lvl 50 raid, but it's a 24 man, and all 24 had to be qualified, having done all 3 Hele wings - so it's not that simple to put together. We did it with no wipes, but an awful lot of lag. Many thanks to all who were there - pics to come later when I've airbrushed myself into beauty

Congratulations on a fun and successful run!

On a f2p server that averages less then 150 people on glff it is not easy getting 24 people that have access to the content, have the 3 flagging instances done, have the equipment and are able to listen (with skill and knowledge) together to do anything. That most were there their first time, and that he was taken down on the first try with no wipes, is commendable.

Just curious...

Did you have hunters range tank the trees, and could you tell me how you split the groups, Im guessing you had a champ rounding up adds in one group.

Nvm I see the group breakdown in SS, so you had two champs in one group grabbing adds... and mal in the other group on adds. Did the hunters/rk help with rounding up adds? This seems to be the part of the fight we are having the most trouble with is getting the adds rounded up between dps phases.

The Hunters were range tanking the trees. The RK did not help pick up adds at all.

Champs+ captain were picking up adds in 2nd group.

We made it difficult for ourself s with the LM not CC the adds when we were in the transition and had to kite the adds around for the Captains Oath breakers to reset, We used oath-breakers after each set of adds to get additional dammage for the challenge. One of the hunters went down in the first face of the fight but was quickly picked up placing a bit more strain on one of the champs, which also was downed but we got it under controll, and was very even on killing the trees with first one group in front and then the next, After first set of adds we had the trees down to 90k on one side and 88k on Another. Burglar was on disable and FM duty on one group which took strain of the gaurd with the adds.

Was a very enjoyable experience , have been trying it for the last few weeks and almost had the t2 about a month ago but it took as a long time to get to the boss the first time on t2 and some of the players was getting tired (our european/india/south africa players). The hardest part of disease is the Road to the boss on T2 , we have not totally bedded down the last pull before the boss, but we are getting there. Think it would be a little bit easier with 2 LM for the road but then you would most likely suffer on DPS on Trees.
