Drauglad (sp?) in the Trollshaws. Lots of wolves and can do the quests and wolf deed. Just be sure to invite other people in the area to kill with you, so you're not fighting over spawns. It can get ugly in there sometimes. If you don't want to fight over those, then stick to the bears, like others have suggested.
Go to the circular bear den near Ost Forod in Evendim. There is no way a single person can run through that and kill everything without them respawning. I think it would take a minimum of 3 high level players to go through there and clean it out. Anyway, there are plenty of bears in what seems like a never ending line that drop pristine hides. That's where I always go to stock up on pristine hides.
Many thanks for the helpful suggestions! I know where I'll be going now, and hopefully with a couple of friends. I've been in those areas before, and noted that they were quite tangly! Should be fun!

Those are all really good places, I just wanted to say that yes, level 35 is the lowest level mob for Pristines. Also if you go to Evendim the deer around the bear area also drop pristines.
Pristine hides should fall off creatures in areas where there is lebethron, including the Eavespires and Annuminas in Evendim, Most of the Trollshaws, & Most of Western Angmar. I think they also drop in the Fields of Fornost in North Downs & the Bruinen Source in Misty Mountains.
I've never had an isue finding pristine hides. My Tailor currently has around 300 pieces of pristine leather, all crafted by my Woodsman, and the tailor has already used quite a bit of leather leveling up. I've had more problems with sturdy hides, but I didn't roll additional toons until I'd leveled out of the zones where they drop (I had the same problem with lower-level mats on my scholar and jeweler).
