It's wonderful to have you all! We had a nice little intro turtle run with you guys last night and it was great to have you along.

Speaking of, it was a busy alliance night last night... Lots of slaughter of bogbereth so people could get the trophy, HoC, Turtle, i think a few of you guys were running GS when i went to bed. Either way it was nice to see so much coming together =)

Seeing this thread reminds me that I have trouble joining the chat channel on some of my characters. Some of them are in the channel but when I try to join I get something akin to this:

/joinchannel popul_power
you are not in room popul_power

I've never seen this before and it's very strange because I have other characters that have made it in fine. Has anyone else reported having problems? Maybe you could verify and make sure I'm typing the correct command.

I've submitted an application as an independant, but I'm open to it leading to a more serious relationship. I enjoy long walks and holding hands, give great backrubs and am as comforable in jeans as I am in a cocktail dress. I love a night out on the town, but have a healthy appreciation for a night in with a jug of chocolate milk and pizza pockets.

Glad you guys decided to join up. Can't wait to see you all out there.

Revival is afoot! Our good friends Toidy and Murdernickle have retired from LOTRO. We will all miss them sooooo much!

Rather than let the whole Popul Alliance die, I have decided to pick up the reins and bring life back (hopefully) to the cause! There are still ALOT of great folks in the channel, and I am starting a new site for Populs.

I will have the new site fully running in a couple days, bear with me pls

Ahw this is nice to see. The Popul Power channel is mandatory for all of my characters.

PS I miss Toidy and Murdernickle. Good people I tells ya!

I miss the Toids and Murder as well, and why I'm trying to keep a common place for Populs to join.

I have been told that the guildlaunch app was a deal breaker for some to join the new alliance site.

It's all good. We are not elitist at all, and respect everyone. We have 6 folks signed up out of 12 kin that I could see from the old threads. It's no big deal. I made a new site because Murder burned the last one down when he left game. It's all good folks.

Hop on the new site or don't. The channel info is the same.

Populs are about having loads of small kins, helping each other, in any way.

THAT was the vision, THAT is what I want to see carry forward!

I'm just happy to see the Alliance alive and well still. Maybe when I return to being in game more often, I can go on some runs again with you all, and help to keep the Alliance going.

I just want to add that this is good for bigger kins as well. My kinship isn't small but I still end up with a lot of free time or sometimes everyone is in the Moors or raiding so having an extra LFF channel can be good for big kins as well. Thanks for keeping it going.

It is with heavy heart that I write this.

I had cancelled my subscription a while ago after the lootboxes were introduced. I thought this crossed an ethical line, and made me resolute to not pay this company any more money.

Now they have gone back on a promise made when the store first came, that they would NEVER sell stat armour. This promise is now broken come the update on the 17th.

I was overjoyed when I started reading the update thread, all the things they are fixing that were high on the 'game breaking' list for me. Then I saw the new armour they will sell.

In less than 8 hours there was a 30+ page thread 99.9% against this. While the armour is lower level stuff, it certainly sets precedent for more engrossing items to come.

I cannot with good conscience contribute even to the point of playing this game anymore. Tolkien's work is being used to front unethical business IMHO, and I know The Professor is rolling in his grave. Sad to see the game degrade so far.

I will continue to pay for the site so it remains add free and storage/options available for folks that visit unless someone comes forward and wants to take it.
