Thread: Cannot access My Characters Setting

Same problem here - a cookie to anyone who can fix it!

Most of my characters are bugged too, and can't access the general settings. Also none of my newly rolled toons on Laurelin server are showing.

I am waiting to go VIP until all the characters show, but if I get them showing faster by being a VIP, please tell me... (Got to pay to get service? Or EU clients are not equal to NA clients? Some serious reverse psychology...)

In any case, the reason I want them to show up, is to get a chance to get into the Lotteries, which should be available to everybody equally. I think there is a term for this kind of stuff, and it's called "inequality". And that is bad, mkay..? (American company should know how bad it is...)

Same for me, can't access any of my character settings or my account settings.

Having the same problems.

Cannot access my character settings or any of my characters except one.
And that one I created after the transfer from Codemasters.

If you cannot access your character sheets, try this workaround:

Go to http://my.lotro.com/home/lottery. Before you enter all the juicy lotteries, click on the character name. This may bring up their character sheet.

If it doesn't and you've just got an error message, look in the url bar and copy the bit that is the character ID (it's a long number right at the end). Then bring up the character sheet of an alt that does work. In the url bar, carefully delete its character ID and paste in the one of the character you wanted.

And if neither of those work for you and you have a smartphone (Android or iPhone only, as far as I know) there are free apps in your store and you can access your character sheets through them.


Be cautious though. I note my main's details are only updated very occasionally and seemingly randomly. If Turbine doesn't have them up to date, neither will the smartphone apps. My main was suddenly updated from 65 to 75 early in the week, but changes in equipment etc since then aren't being registered. Again.

I cannot believe this has not been fixed yet. I do not think anyone who has posted here cannot view their character sheets. It is when you point to 'my preferences' - and then click 'my character settings' (the place where you change whether your characters are disconnected from your username, and other settings) that gives an error message.

If you click on 'My Blog', a character list appears on that page, and 'view full list' can be clicked if there are more characters which did not show up.

In order to clear this up for people, it might help to point out that in my case, I never selected any of my characters as the primary character (the little button to the left of the name). I cannot now select any of them to be primary, because I had set them as anonymous (which only means that my username is not connected to my *character* name), before the error happened which will not let me change them back to non-anonymous, from the setting page which now only gives an error message.

So, perhaps this happens to people who never selected one character as the primary character, and who also made them anonymous in the settings page at some point, before the character settings becoming unavailable.

Or, maybe not! I do not know, but in any case it should not be that the people should be ignored here, who are having this problem.

Mine doesnt seem to work either on 2 characters and i seem to have gotten a levelless char for free any chance for a fix?

I have the same issue. Cant acces my characters, blog or settings nor my friends.

I have the same problem, have never worked (since eu mitigation).

Same problem here for months now, cannot access to most of my characters.
Keep getting the "Error: An error occurred while processing your request. We apologize for the inconvenience." message when I try to use My Character Settings, My Blog or My Blog Admin page.

I also have this issue!

Another thing I see is that I cannot view other players profiles without getting this message from Firefox (and IE too for that matter):

"Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."

If I log out from the forum I have no problem viewing user profiles.

I see a lot of people having this issue migrated but I'm a new player (only joined this week) and on my first day here, I could access my char settings etc but now nothing, I just get the error message.

I guess its something that we will just have to forget as it looks like this has been going oon for quite a while.

Have you joined a kinship with your char?

Yes that char is in a kinship, is that what the problem is?

Mostly it is. I think your problem occured after joining a kinship. During migration of the EU data a lot of members of migrated kinships have this problem.
It's a known bug but Turbine couldn't fix it over month.

Another European user affected by this message:

There is a problem that prevents most migrated accounts from seeing their characters on mylotro. Some people say the problem is related to kinships created before the game went f2p, other people say the problem affects kinships that have a space in their names. Anyway it's a migration problem, because I created a new character on my server (Evernight) and I could see it on mylotro. As soon as I joined my old kinship, bam, I got the error message and couldn't see it anymore.

So... please, anyone from Turbine, answer this simple question, I think your (paying) customers deserve an answer:

Are you working on it? Are we getting our characters fixed on mylotro?

The funny thing is, I can view Profiles as long as I'm not logged in.

So it does affect ones possibilty to look at profiles at all.
There seems to be some weird SQL-loop checking your Kinship linking, and it's stuck halfway.

I cannot see a character tab at all to see my characters therefore I cannot enter lotterys or see my kinship or anything? same issue as those above?

I cannot view the character pages for any of my gilrain (main) characters, and haven't been able to for months ("Error: An error occurred while processing your request. We apologize for the inconvenience."). (e.g. http://my.lotro.com/home/character/2...3862308514075/) I can view alts I created on other servers, though. Can this please be fixed?

Problem is still there and very annoying. One year after migration and european players aren't worth a small bugfix on "amazing" mylotro.

When will u fix it? It's over a year now since the migration and this is still not working. I pay the same money for lotro like NA players so why my access is limited?

It would be nice to get this fixed.. it's hardly game breaking, but as others have said: Turbine are now getting our money, so it'd be good if we could actually access all the same services as US players/non-migrated players/players in non-migrated kinships do.

I have same problems as well only getting error when i try to acces characters

I'm not able to update my character's settings too.
