Add a group heal for Maddening Strike as if it were the precursor to Conviction!!
Title says it all. I suggest that we turn maddening strike (shield-fist-shield) into a sort of weaker form of conviction (shield-fist-shield-fist) but with a smaller group heal. Justification: this change will enable lower level wardens to find more groups as tanks in fellowships and will help them while tanking. Please Dev Team, add a group heal for Maddening strike!

I really don't think this would do as much as you would like. Without the threat transfer present on Conviction the healing aggro doesn't do a whole lot for your overall threat. Sure, its a nice boost, but its not major. I think its the combination of the threat transfer and HoT aggro that works well together, a simple heal at lower levels is not gonna be a big difference maker.
A good deal of the Healing Aggro from Conviction is propagated through having it legacied out, thus ticking higher on all members of the fellow and generating additional threat.
I would personally like to see Fierce resolve upgraded a bit.

I think a conviction-like group heal in lower levels might help out in groups, even a little It'd also give more sense to a relatively (at least in my case) unused gambit line up to conviction.
Re: Add a group heal for Maddening Strike as if it were the precursor to Conviction!!
That was the idea to be both threat transfer and group heal at lower levels. Dance of war could probably use that too (heal that is) and in this way, we can have the whole conviction line uniformly designed with both threat transfers and group heals, I think it'd be a nice addition, and it would definitely help out lower level players with grouping.
Re: Add a group heal for Maddening Strike as if it were the precursor to Conviction!!
It could work, but there are some pitfalls.
First, Conviction actually kind of stinks when you aren't shield-specced. So, should MS be useful regardless of traiting, or should it require +heal pulses and maybe even the shield capstone to be worthwhile?
If the answer is to make it worthwhile regardless of traiting, that adds a whole lot of utility to Wardens in general. It would work well at low levels, but the skill would really have to lose effectiveness as one gained levels or it would be too good. Perhaps if it hit everyone except for the warden, it would be better as this would keep you from being able to use it when spear-specced as a regular heal.
If the answer is to make it require +pulse traits to make it worthwhile, now it's not going to be as useful at lower levels. I'm not exactly clear on how to find a middle ground.
Beyond all that, there's also the problem of stacking with Conviction. While it would be great if Conviction was kept as-is and we got another fellowship-wide heal we could stack on top, I doubt we're going to get that. It'd just make us even more uber in 3 to 6-man instances though, and we're already kind of silly on that content. Hmm, maybe if it was raid-wide and smaller but didn't stack with Conviction?
