Thread: Lottery Barterer NPC are gone, but a Gift Lottery is going on ... normal ?

Just wondering.

May be we have to keep those Gift Tokens for an anniversary ?

Noticed that on Arkenstone server. There is an active lottery but no npc at the boar fountain in Bree anymore

Correct. The NPC's have gone away until our Anniversary event kicks off in a few months. However, we figured we would throw out a couple of extra lotteries to allow players to store up some tokens in preparation.

So we have to wait a couple months to get our single shire ration or athelas potion.

If I hadn't won a few hundred tokens in the lotteries I would have been a bit bothered by the lackluster prizes. It seems only the level 60 and up get the nice prizes.

that will give you plenty of time to level and get those tiny shiny precious gifts

((rewards are random, i won a Mithril flake with a lower character and only potions with one of my higher. So i guess it is totally random))

Here is odd, of all my characters 1 of them won almost every time right alongside another, and the rest were lucky if they won twice... none of my 60+ guys got anything good but was a 43 winning consistently.

I had a 47 and 48 on Riddermark win almost every single time, except for the first one when the 48 as was listed as level 37. I just assumed that there weren't as many entries in that level range on a new server. The fast levelers are all 65 by now.

The best thing I won was a couple beryl shards and some fairly common cosmetics

But don't you usually leave the gift givers up for a few days after the tokens stop dropping? Plenty of people now have tokens that they can't do anything with for a couple months at least. For those (not me) with characters below the level cap, it makes the gift boxes useless since they'll outlevel the rewards. Why take them down so soon?

To be honest, it really seems like this was accidental (either the barterer removal or the lottery timing), and you're covering because it was decided that a fix wasn't worth Turbine's time on this minor issue. If that's the case, I kind of get it, and it's sort of a minor inconvenience in the scheme of things, but it's still sort of lame.

Thank you for the early token lottos. 'specially fun since I won a couple! Don't mind holding onto the tokens at all, and great to see them flow right into the Barter Wallet Yippee!

I have to laugh at all of these people complaining about "out leveling" the single shrie ration or potion rewards from the tokens. Come on people get a grip. The only good rewards on the lower level tokens are cosmetics and shards. Outleveling a handful of food or potion items is trivial and no real cause for complaint.
