Thread: About those dev diaries sapience

I just noticed this.

__i___e__ so we know so far that this is the truth.

we want it to be minstrel.

but then there is a certain other name that is well known here.

look at his name, what do you see? there is an I and a E (hey that rhymed, anyways..)

though there is a few spaces that are different then what he has, he could put a tm after the name so that his name would be interpreted as: sapience(tm)

also yes I am reading way to much into this, I am just bored and want to see if I was right in our guess that it is the minstrel.

Now this thought could be wrong if sapience posts the answer that it is the minstrel while I was typing this, but if he says nope, think for a moment then. I might be right. right?

1 - Yes I did. There are 5 developer diaries that are completed. Two you'll see this week.

2 - Correct again!

3&4 Whoops, you've lost the scent. We only publish developer diaries related to the next update. There's not much point in publishing Isengard dev diaries when the expansion isn't due until Fall. Even I'm not that mean.

5 - _I____E_ . Even I'm not sure what else it could be! Afterall, I did say the two diaries this week were class diaries.

6 - Point 5 was not correct. It's Minstrel.

And no it can't be Sapience. Becuase Sapience would be ___ie__e. (Count the spaces)

yeah I figured I might be wrong and you might have actualy said that. But I am still glad you liked the thought process I did there, I am also glad that I was right on my guess that it was the minstrel (also happy for everyone else who got it to).

Also the sapience guess was a pure joke, but I still thought it interesting that at least two letters of your name are close, or sort of close to a minstrels, and both contain the same letters.

I would really hope we'd be getting class updates in the future. You know, what with all the other expansions and level cap increases and the like.

That said, why would there be any point in writing a dev diary for changes not happening for at least half a year? That's assuming no changes to the coming changes change the changes in the expansion dev diaries.

1- Good catch. There are more than 5 developer diaries for Update 2.
2- This is technically a repeat of your previous #2, which I already said was correct (There are more than 2 classes being updated for Update 2).

I think Minstrel was kind of inevitable- getting rid of Radiance means that I suspect Song of the Hopeful Heart will HAVE to be upgraded somehow.. No minstrel I know has slotted that legendary since it was a mandatory in the pre-Moria days. Here's hoping we get some skills that help the group out as far as hope goes!

My minstrel traits and uses it for soloing, since he hasn't gotten past the first 3 legendaries, and it can be useful with random bosses that have dread, when I don't feel like wasting a hope token. Buuut... yeah, it could use an update. =D

So my question is, how many pumpkin pies would it take to make PvMP free?

You guys are all missing the REAL clue here. As Sapience has said, look closely at what he wrote. We're actually getting a Developer DAIRY tomorrow!!! What insane thing will that turn out to be? All we know now is that he charges pumpkin pie in exchange for it.

Oh and Sapience, if we're not getting a Warden update after these dairy Minstrels are given a chance to chew their cud, we'll need more than pumpkin pie to calm the masses. Hook us up, bro! Wardens need some love (and improvement).

I would like at least one of those to be related with new content ,such as Book updates or even a new map

5 dev diaries,

3 class related minstrel and burg for sure,

1 LI revamp we know we're getting the first now and one in 6 months

1 rad removal/instance talk

My bets anyway cause we know they have 3 class updates we know they have a LI revamp and the rad kind of goes with the new raids as well, and that nicely fits in the 5 diaries we know we're getting.

Ah, but Dev Diaries tend to be posted as a lead-up to a release, often during the month or so immediately prior. Not only so people won't have to wait so long between diary and release, but likely also so the staffers don't end up getting people excited over details that change before release (or that hit a snag and get delayed).

That said, there's a good thread about upcoming plans here. Which happen to include all those things and more.

I'm just gonna make a random guess and say that one of the dev diaries will be about the north downs revamp

I guess we will be getting the following dev diaries:
- 3x Class diaries (Burg and mincy confirmed, 1 unknown)
- 3x? Removal of radiance/new raid cluster (I guess/hope it will be one with 2 3-mans, one with 2 6-mans and 1 with raid)
- Volume 2 soloable update
- Volume 3 bk3 (Or V2 and V3 combined)
- Legendary weapons update
- Cosmetic system update

Actually this has me uber excited!
The only part Im even remotely dreading is the new 65 1st ages. I just finally got my champs wep and rune set with good legacies and now Im gonna have to redo them. But thats where we have fun! So in the end, I chalk it up as a win

The Mini update looks cool. Most of it went over my head, mainly cuz mine is only lvl 43 and I dont know him all that well, but still, from what I know, It looks to be a good improvement.

Hope we hear more soon.

It also almost spells Piemaven. I am deeply disappointed that we do not have a Piemaven class (I know about the title, but that's just not the same).

I would guess, from a post from Graalx2 a couple of months ago that the 3rd class being update in this patch is the Hunter. From what i saw from the Burglar dev diary (also from Graalx2), i'm not counting on anything substantial like the minstrel update...
