My Sights Of Middle Earth
I've always loved taking pictures in Lotro, and I finally got a video card that can support DX11. So I've decided to share some pictures I've taken in Middle Earth.
Graphics are set on Ultra High DX11.
EDIT!! If you wish to see my pictures as a bigger size or possibly for wallpapers, please visit my album on Photobucket! That's where I upload all my pictures.

Very nice pictures, especially that last of Tinnudir. That could easily be a desktop background.

Awesome shots. Curious on the Stock Tower - did you bump up the lighting or is that just a clear sunny day standard shot?

Re: My Sights Of Middle Earth
Just a note on this:
I like how Weathertop looks in the game but i have to say that this one looks much better

I think this one is what devs had in mind when creating Weathertop. Actually i think this is a painting of what they wanted Amon Sul to look like in the game.
I wonder why they didnt make it like this one in the painting, looks nicer and more like Middle-earth
Is it just me or the draw distance is slighty better in Enedwaith? I havent went that far with my character yet so i dont know whats the draw distance in EnedwaithLast edited by Dankanthegood; Feb 12 2011 at 08:23 PM.

Re: My Sights Of Middle Earth
Indeed I do agree, the painting does look more middle-earth-ish. But the green around Amon Sol in the painting would really go with the rest of Lone-lands would it.

And yes, it does seem like the draw-distance in Enedwaith is increased some what. Maybe because it's a more wide and open area?

Re: My Sights Of Middle Earth
Wow, these are great pics! you shouldnt have the shire one as your wallpaper tho, sure, its amazing, but enedwaith is just...better. Credit to ur graphics settings for that. and turbine, you could never do something as beautiful as that in WoW etc.

Re: My Sights Of Middle Earth
Take some screenies of the new instance
Is it just me or the entire scenery looks better in this instance up on the hill looking down the forest and all around the mountains? The draw distance seems improved too?
When i first watched it i was thinking ''oh is this LOTRO?the graphics and animations seem different,(better)''
But what looks really nice and different is the draw distance as you can see all around the mountains and the forestSam: “It’s like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end, because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folks in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going because they were holding on to something.”
Frodo:“What are we holding on to, Sam?”
Sam: “That there’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it’s worth fighting for.”

Re: My Sights Of Middle Earth
I believe the artist of that Weathertop painting, Tara Reuping, was one of the main concept artists for Turbine for quite some time. I downloaded all of her art that I could from the internet when I found it available.
