We are currently rank 8 and have many supreme master crafters in every profession! Players of all levels can expect to be supported with almost any kind of gear or supplies you may need.

Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
We will definitely have a strong emphasis on getting new players up to speed quickly and helping them learn to use there selected class or classes to the best of their abilities. For level 40+, we will all be learning together as we don't have any end-level members at this point.
We are also looking to establish a good core skirmishing group which should evolve into a skimish/raiding group as we approach level 65. There are some very analytical and helpful members of this group, so we will be committed to helping you become a better skirmisher if you are interested in that aspect of the game!
As noted by Recolitus, we also have a strong emphasis on leveling crafting and using our crafting to help other kinsmen.
Whether you are looking participate in hard fought battle with a fellowship against the toughest monsters in the game or you prefer crafting and enjoying the world created by Professor Tolkien, we will have something for you!
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
As a welcome to new members, the next five recruits between levels 12 and 25 will receive a Fine Agate Necklace of Quickness (+2 Vitality and +8% out of combat run speed), plus one critical success weapon for their class. Recruits between 25 and 38 will receive a critical success weapon (not bows) and two scrolls (battle and warding lore). Recruits from 38 to 48 will receive either a two-handed weapon or a pair of weapons.
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
Update: We now have access to the Expert tier of all crafting vocations.
Remember, one of our primary focuses is to help new players. So, whether you just need some help with a quest, want an item crafted, or want to join the kin, please send a tell to one of our officers!
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
New Character and TeamSpeak Event!
Greetings everyone!
This Friday I would like to try something a little different. I would like to start a TeamSpeak Recruitment and New Character night.
On Friday night between 9PM and 10PM I would like everyone who wishes to participate to log into the Soldiers of Christ TeamSpeak server then create level 1 Hobbit characters on the Brandywine server, group up together and run through the introductory quests as a group. This is in and effort to bring additional players into the our Brandywine kinship Mithrandir's Cohorts!
IMPORTANT: You MUST be a registered user on the Soldiers of Christ Forums to receive the TeamSpeak server information. Please go to the link above, register on the forums and you will receive the information through a Private Message. All are welcome!
If there isn't much interest we'll try running Great Barrows on the Crickhollow server.
I call dibs on the name TodoBaggypants.
In Him,
Matthorin
Faith cannot be measured, Hope cannot be touched and Love cannot be contained.
Applicants, and others interested, we'll be passing another round of applicants in two weeks. Please remember that activity is crucial. Post here or on our forums, chat with us on our Teamspeak, and play with us on our server.
Tomorrow night our weekly bible studies will continue on our TS. Same Bat-time (7pm Central), same Bat-channel.
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
Hi guys, my wife and I are fairly new to online games in general, we are a homeschool family and have all (us and the kids) joined the game as a little group of four Hobbits. We are thinking the next step might be a kinship so we are looking around. We are a ministry couple and saw your kinship seems to be Christian centered. Sounds like a good place to start. We are in northern Minnesota, does the kinship happen to be in a midwest timezone? Where in Middle earth have you, or will you, purchase the kinship house? (we would want to purchase our first home in the same homestead if possible.)
Thanks
Joe

Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
Regencee - I'm not sure if you've been in touch with us yet. You can send me a tell or mail in-game or get in touch with me on the SoC forums. I'm }SoC{ Mr =). Even if you haven't been accepted to SoC yet, you can still be a recruit of Mithrandir's Cohorts and gain membership status once you've been accepted to the clan. Sorry it took me a while to get back to you, I've been fighting the remnants of a cold off.
Joe - Thanks for dropping in! We'd be delighted to have you and your family. A lot of our players are west coast (Pacific and Mountain), but the majority are very active. It's very rare that I log on and don't see anyone online... We have a kinship house in the Shire Homesteads. It's currently closed to visitors outside of the kin, but we will be opening it up after the housewarming. Our address is 2 Chalk Road, Musthall. Just send a tell or mail to one of our officers listed above if you'd like to join!
Applicants, and others interested, we'll be passing another round of applicants in two weeks. Please remember that activity is crucial. Post here or on our forums, chat with us on our Teamspeak, and play with us on our server.
Monday and Thursday night our weekly bible studies will continue on our TS. We're in 1 Corinthians on Thursday and in the beginning chapters of John on Monday. TeamSoC
Here's the aggregate calendar that will show the lotro events along with the other scheduled events we will be having.
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
This Saturday, at 5 PM Pacific, we'll be opening our doors to the public for our housewarming! We'll be having giveaways, contests, fireworks, etc. Prizes include a full stack of Ancient Iron Ore, several shards, and more. Come meet our members, peruse our growing collection of trophies, and have a good time! See the OP for our house address.
After the housewarming events have concluded, we'll be doing some skirmishes, instances, or fellowship quests. Anyone who wants to join in is more than welcome.
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
A big thank you to everyone who attended the housewarming! It was a terrific success! We hope to have some more parties like this in the future in addition to our regular events. Our house will remain open to visitors.
We almost have access to all Supreme tiers of crafting! Our members are now well supported in almost all consumables, gear, and fellowship. We have some really good people in the kin and I'd like to thank them all for being a part of this.
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
We are now regularly having events each week (sometimes twice a week) for levels 20 on up. For now, we're having them on Thursdays and Saturdays. We welcome anyone who would like to join in! Just send us a tell or mail!
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
Ok guys, I just gotta know. How do I get one of these super cool fang-dangled signatures? Now that I'm and officer and all I feel a need for extra coolness.
Hello,
I'm Eldacerta, level 60 Runekeeper on Brandywine server.
I love to be in groups and fellowships, I'm a social creature.
If you need any help, I've got lots of knowledge about the game, just ask me.
See you in-game, soon, hopefully.
Eldacerta

Joe, look at the top right corner of this page and expand "My Preferences," then click on "My Forum Settings." Then click on "Edit Signature" to the right and you'll see the tools for setting that up below.
Also, as an update, we were able to run a raid on Tuesday. Our numbers have been going up (we currently have more than 70 members) to the point that we will probably be running a raid for a lot of the group events or possibly several groups at once.
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
We are currently experimenting with a new format for our event nights. Our 20-40 group and 40+ group will be alternating between Saturday and Tuesday, meaning that 40+ is tonight at 6 PM Pacific, 20-40 on Saturday (time TBD, last week was 2 PM), 20-40 on Tuesday at 6 PM, 40+ on Saturday, etc.
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
Congratst o all the new members!
Mr =)/Recolitus, do you have access to our Calendar? Our Crickhollow group is using it. If you don't have access let me know. If you do,you can create events, and you can give event creation ability to officers who are organizing events...then it is a more usable calendar you can share with the group as well as allies and recruits.
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
With our numbers still increasing (currently more than 100 members), we are beginning to look at forming raid squads for our higher level players. We want to establish solid teams of members who enjoy working to improve their fellowship skills.
We'd also like to welcome Litto to our group of officers! He's been supporting our kin through various endeavors for a while now and is also graciously offering his services as a supreme cook to any and all members.
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
How do I join up? Apply on Forums? i'm currently a level 26 Hobbit Burglar.

Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
You can post your burglar's name here and we'll get in touch with you, or you can send a tell to one of our officers. We usually have at least one online.
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
Yes, we are still around and very busy! Some of our officers have just been caught up in real life work lately...
Our current plans include a Carn Dum run tonight at 6 PM Pacific to collect major class items for our members. After that, we might be running another high level instance.
Also, congratulations to Fockewulf on reaching the level cap!
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
Hi, can you contact me in game please? Game name is Luminatus

Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
I joined this kinship within the past 2 weeks and I just want to say that this is an amazing group of players. There is great kinchat all of the time, and all of the members are more than willing to take time out of their day to help their fellow kinsmen/kinswomen. If you are looking for a great group of people to enjoy this game with I definitely recommend contacting us in game!

Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
We'd like to congratulate and welcome our newest officers on board! Balinkin/Balinkid, Kaveik/Adathorn, and Helkarien/Gemring
Also, if you'd like to meet some of our members or hang out with us for a bit, we'll be having a summer party at Lake Evendim, starting near Tinnudir. The event may culminate in a raid on Annuminas...

Thanks for the kind words! It really is a great community and it's always made better by having members like you.
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
Just wanted to thank the leadership for upgrading my recruit status to official kinsman now! It is an honor. Mithrandir's Cohorts is an amazing group of people!

Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
Sounds like a great group of folks. Jumping into the game for the first time (after a couple tests over the past few years) and I'll be rolling a new character on Brandywine tonight. I'll try to contact an officer in-game.
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
Hopefully you have been able to contact someone in game. If not, you can leave your in-game name here and you can also send an in-game e-mail to some of the leaders whose names you see in this forum thread. Looking forward to meeting you in game!

Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
Mithrandir's Cohorts is still growing! We have members active in all aspects of the game from questing, to crafting, to dungeons, to PvMP! And we still have that great community atmosphere that we are famous for!
With the upcoming release of Rise of Isengard, we will have all hands on deck as we help each other level to the new cap and then work on gearing up. Many in the kin are already helping each other level those virtues to the new caps!
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
We are currently forming a special all-kin raid group to run The Vile Maw. Members are allowed to switch to their alternate characters so that they can run with any class and then equip others that need it. Quite a few of the members have experience, so we're hoping to make it a regular event for people leveling through Moria.
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
The Cohorts are deep into the Isengard expansion! Come and join us for fun and fellowship! We are also preparing to start some new events for our members that don't have toons higher than level 40, so the entire kin will be keeping busy!
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
In a month from yesterday, Mithrandir's Cohorts will be a year old and reach rank 10! We don't have definite plans for what we're doing at the party yet, but we are definitely doing something. So, stay tuned!
If you'd like to be around when MC hits the big 10, log on by 3:42 PM on Thursday, November 9th. I *think* that's Pacific because the time on the kin page should be specific to my time zone. But, if someone in a different time zone could verify this to be the case, that would be nice.
Re: Mithrandir's Cohorts, Associated with Soldiers of Christ
Level with the officers has started up - meeting Sundays at 3pm pst and Tuesdays at 7pm pst, we'll be doing quests, deeds, etc as a unit. First round had a good turn out rate - see you all at the next one!
