On another note: that reaver the other day (Monday?) that took me on (I forget who) needs to trait some defenses or light defense or something. He literally exploded. Like Poof! I think the only attacks I didn't crit were the ballads. Anyway, very good tactics with the charge and breaking LOS early on. IDK who he is but he knows how to adapt to the class he's facing off. I was just more lucky is all.

I love Jetsu. How many freeps will dismount when a warg mauls them from stealth? Not too many, but he did. And I only won because of a very lucky hit while he had TnG up. /salute

I need to learn to leave those that outnumber me and have NPC backup alone at EC. But they was so tempting, and the Ranger was so sneaky pew pewing from the safety of EC. I firmly subscribe to the motto that "Death is temporary, infamy is forever."

Wasn't it you and pouncival that burned HiPs and sprint earlier from a battle with me and Bud. (that's right, me and bud kicked your asses) out the side of tr.
2 or 3 times you returned, I think you finally got bud, but ran away afterward.

You should be ashamed.

Come and 1v1 me properly if you want.

I killed Bud two or three times in that fight. You are the one who should be embarrassed. You're a fricken guard, and you ran away AND you died anyway. Have some damn pride.

You guys have to remember, it's only a good 1v1 if the opposing player agrees it was a good 1v1, otherwise it's going to turn into a debate.

Next time you have good 1v1, make sure the other player enjoyed it!

Funny, I only ever seem to see you when I am low on morale.

Even so, you still could have killed me if you'd stuck around. I fully expected you to beat me, since you're a guard, and guards usually do. But, I'll still attack you in the future if you're alone, and then you can come here, and talk some smack about me :P

I've done a few 1v1's and always lose but I'm still learning and I enjoy doing them. I'm happy that there's a lot of freeps who bow or salute. I'm not a fan of people who corpse-jump, since I wouldn't do it, but luckily I don't see it that much. I've been beaten by lots of guards and rks lol. Thanks to anyone who has ever 1v1'd me, hopefully I'll be more competition as I rank.

im surprised he's on this thread, he usually pounce's and runs even when he has 10+ creeps behind him.

i think he's right after "thetaoofnom" when it comes to huggin stars.

It was just the two of us fighting and we very nearly killed each other. Not sure I would call that a good 1 vs 1 as opposed to a successful encounter for me.

I do like to pounce and run to set up freeps for the zerg to take out. It's my way of giving back :P

Well I was playing my retired friends account today on his guard (whom I've been playing lately) and had a nice 1v6 with some creeps just a little outside of EC. Got away with two kills with one pledge and one fortitude.

Jetsu. You were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Our group ran up on you and you are so cute and fun to eat. We stayed on the move most of the night, and happened upon some pretty good fights. We were headed from LC to TA when we came on you. We were not looking for any 1 vs 1 fights. We were looking for food.

That was alot of fun. I was lol at the flow of the fight. One of us would dps the other would kite and heal, dps would run of power and we would switch roles.

I had that reaver down to around 1200... tried so hard to kill him for jumping in. Thanks again for the fight. However next time if I see you solo I think I might ride away or just pray for better crits and full out dps. I cant afford pots for another one of those.

Found a war leader and reaver attempting to kill my uncle... mayor in HH. After they ran him off we still continued the fight and was a nice one. Thanks for staying for the most part. Had a 1v1 with far again always fun. The rest of the ones i found solo ended with running to npcs or a raid being called in, oh well.

Sorry to Radarastiel for stealing your KB. I did not realize my health was so low :P

I had a nice 1v1 up on candy mountain with Morphinette.

Didn't even have to use all my cd's.

FYI Morph, you were worth 144 renown.

Bizzarro that wasn't very nice running in to try and kill me after the 1v1, luckily I wasn't that low on morale and brought Wilandria as back up in case you guys pulled something like that.
I'm not to sure how much you were worth.

Had a good fight with Firetab today. It was interrupted at the very end and we both ended up dying, but it was still fun.

I didnt think I had a chance to tell you the truth but you kept going though my moving target and didnt do a lot of the running through me like most of the melee does(the little warden hobbit forget the name does it like a pro, not that its actually needed vs a ba lol) but anyway that was fun and points for the both of us Think I dided to 3.5k ec to the back there, like every other encounter with an rk

I know I'm kinda double posting but this is from the point of Oggy. Thirindon the guard and Phultara the Lm, great 1v1s at tr rez. The LM, I believe I lost to you in front of tr not much before the then, both fights were close and fun. The guard was great fun and a great sport, very close as well.

Well, I finally have the chance to post to this thread. First, I would like to thank everyone on this thread for helping me to get a better idea of 1v1 and pvp in general when it come to the attitudes about it (at least my understanding of the attitudes). I have always had the thought that it is just a game, and getting killed is part of it, so it never ruffles my feathers... Er... Fur... I was glad to see that it wasn't just me...

That said, I had 2 1v1 with Sovreign, the hunter, just a few moments ago. That was only my second true 1v1 (well, and third) that I've done. (I don't count the lvl 60 RK I found (twice in 20 mins) or the 2 level 40-somethings I found... Not fair, really... Nor do I count the Borfinn fight when I found him at 1/2 morale (though, I took that chance because I figured it was the only chance I had to actually win against him at my rank (4 at the time)... He still almost took me down).

I decided to prowl between GV and EC, as there was fighting in EC. The first fight, I took down Sovreign... The second taught me 2 things: 1. Even if you have that crazy adrenaline rush going on after a fight with a hunter ALWAYS keep an eye on your chat window to see if you're being tracked (BTW: Does that adrenaline rush tone down after a while??? or is it just me?)... And 2.... Don't hang in the same area with all of your skills in cooldown....

Awesome fun, and thank you, Sovreign, for the salute. The last time I was not in a group, and wound up 2v1'ing a freep, I bowed, as I have decided that a worthy adversary deserves respect. (Actually, I thought that before, but I just never thought to bow/salute/etc)...


P.S.: Yeah, I'm a noob when it comes to PVP in general... Actually never thought I'd like it too much... Thanks to the experience I've had on Landy, that has changed greatly.

I just had a nice and long 1v1 with sovreign by gv(on my war-lead)... at the end we had both no power left and almost all our health too but then 2 young wardens(oldbonadros and alphadros) throwed their javelins to bring me down... seriously guys...

Fards, epic duels the last few days! I liked that you put that banner down the last time thiking I would run out of power. It was a good idea, but I watched my pool a bit better this time.

Toothless, what happened in our fight behind EC? I was taking damage there, but it seemed one of us was lagging? Could have been me, could've been you, maybe both. Wow, were you fat! 169? Dude you been nomming some freeps!

Tailmange really drilled me there on the road to TR. I kept burning Cd's bit by bit catching Toxsik (sp?) the spider in various places.

And btw to the aformentioned spider, nice kiting! You dropped me twice. I really need to make sure I keep pots on hand 24/7.

haha yeah we had some nice fights ! and you hit hard so i wanted to debuff your damage+ power pool but grr you get out of my banner's radius hehe i still was able to do my shout at least oh and be careful when ill be rank 5 there will be more challenge

Thanks Lee - you should really invest the time into getting a sprint duration LI, I couldn't believe my luck when it ran out so quickly.

I'll be honest, I had forgotten to retrait after we Ran BG last night.That, and I ran out of poision and stun pots as well. No worries though, you played well enough to get the kill so well done!

Sorry dude. If you recall, you had just rolled both Bones and I prior to that fight with 4 Wargs so we really didn't know you were alone up there with Sovreign. We just saw him in trouble, assumed the worst, and unloaded. In the aftermath, when we realized there were no Wargs with you, we apologized to Sovreign for interrupting. You, of course, were Creepside and not privy to the OOC.

I did have some good 1v1s yesterday. /salute to Sherranakh (sp?) and Tocsik (both encounters were interrupted, but I like your spirit!)

Yeah, I pounced, applied bleeds, then DC'd. I'm going to blame my router, but maybe it was just the universe compensating you for your internet problems lately.
