As above, delete the settings file located at:
"Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\PluginData\<your username>\<your server name>\<your character name>\CombatAnalysis.plugindat a" (no spaces)
There were some issues with the localization code in v4.0.3 & the early version of 4.0.4 that could corrupt your settings file depending on your client/OS locale.
Myself and many of my kinmates thoroughly enjoy analysing our parses after runs. I was wondering if it will be possible in the future to save parses to a text file perhaps? It would be fantastic to be able to compare out of game and refer back to certain fights at a later date.

I've been working on Saving/Loading recently, and its pretty much done. You can't really save to a text readable format, because the only way that we can save files via LUA is not very customizable. Someone could write a program to convert a .plugindata save file into a nicer text file, but its not something I'm going to do.
But you will be able to send someone a save file so they can open it up in game and see all the details. And you can combine save files from multiple runs, etc.
There's a few more things I need to do before the next update (which will be quite big) though, so it could be a while away still.
To anyone that thinks Update 6 broke CombatAnalysis: Turbine added some new filters in with Update 6, and it looks like they're disabled by default. Right-click the chat tab (e.g. the Combat tab), go to Filters, and check them. I'm not in front of the game atm, but IIRC the new ones are like Combat - Player and Combat - Enemy.

That shouldn't have any impact on CombatAnalysis I wouldn't think.
To get CombatAnalysis working again, download the new update which is now out!

One other thing - is there a way to see the total damage done (and percent damage) from Devastates, Criticals, and therefore "regular" hits? I see that you can see the number of them (ie. 100 Hits, 21 Crits, 7 Devs) and the percentage of hits (in this example, 21% Crits and 7% Devs) but do not see how much total damage is done by each type? Sorry if I'm just missing something here.

Great job on adding that feature! I'm able to see, now, that while about 1/3rd of the total number of hits are devs/crits, those make up about 2/3rds of total damage dealt! (Just an example, using a champ). Thanks for the excellent update!
This is by far the best dps parser i've used in any game. I was actually using the DASS parser until recently but it stopped working with update 6. I'm glad though because otherwise i wouldn't have tried this one.
I know i am kind of looking the gift horse in the mouth here but there is one feature DASS has that i miss and would love to see added to this plugin. I am not sure the exactly what the proper terminology is but every time a fight ended the fights end dps would float up over your head like when you get faction.
Either way this plugin is hands down the best out there. But if you ever get the time, that feature is one i believe is very worthwhile.
I found snare trap damage. Is Firetrap listed under 'Deadly Inferno' ?
No idea. It depends how it shows up in the combat log. But every line of damage that does come up in your log should be included (with few exceptions - see below).
Trap damage may or may not show up as pet damage (ie: damage done by someone other than you).
Pets:
As of the first update after Isengard, many pet actions are actually listed under the player's name:
- Most (maybe all) heals or power restores
- Any bleeds
Pet names can only be detected in the following list of situations:
- Pet damages a mob that you have hit (or received damage from).
- Pet is damaged by a mob that you have hit (or received damage from).
- Pet heals (or gives power to) itself
As such, you may sometimes miss the first few lines of damage/healing done by your pet.
- Add a Tribe (/tribe) to the list of channels you can paste info in
Ok it will now give you the option of Tribe instead of Kinship if you're on a creep (I assume that was meant to be /tr rather than /tribe btw). The next version with this included should be out shortly; I just have to fix the frost ring temporary morale bubble being assigned incorrectly issues in Saruman first.
I must admit though that I have very low motivation to make fixes for PvP in the future, but this was a very easy change.

You need to save a combat chat log. Find out if "Cry of the Wizards" is logged by Turbine. If so, what text string is used to log it.

Is this in the English version? I can't imagine what could be getting missed, but if you want me to look into it send me a copy of you combat log as well as a combat analysis save file/screenshots.

There are quite a few debuffs & CC skills that aren't tracked at the moment. Eventually I will get around to making a menu so you can manually add and adjust any debuffs, etc, that you want to have tracked.
When combat analysisi was first released u could set up a server and let people join it so u could see everyones DPS in real time.. Is this something that will be available again ? This was what i liked the most with the plugin at that point..
So due to some of the LUA updates with RoR, you may notice a bunch of errors in the chat window when the plugin is first loaded if using the Plugin Manager. These errors don't have any impact on the running of the plugin so you can just ignore them.
The next update will be out in a few weeks which will fix that issue as well as adding a menu and other new features.

So, while I don't want to be that guy, are you planning to bring back group parsing in the foreseeable future, or are there other features you would rather focus on? It's the number one feature I am missing now (and I'm sure I'm not the only one), and I'm not sure if Turbine will allow it through LUA anytime soon. :(

Make sure you have the following folder:
"Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins\CombatAnalysis"
And make sure that inside that folder there are the following two files (as well as a lot of other subfolders):
"CombatAnalsyis.plugin"
"Main.lua"
If you have an extra folder in there (eg: you might have another folder called CombatAnalysisZip), then you need to remove it.
And version 4.2 is finally out! (much later than expected sorry)

Before it throws that it says that it can't find my traits and that my buffs and debuffs will be lost. Then the normal windows don't appear but a little icon appears that I can click and it changes from reddish to grey but the CA windows don't appear. This is when I already having settings.
I tried deleting my settings but it still gives the same error as above but then when you click the icon it gives this error:

Thanks for letting me know. I had added some LM skills to the default skill list and forgotten to add them to the locale file so it was causing errors when the plugin loaded up (for LMs only). I've uploaded a fix now.
The CA Logo doesn't stay hidden after you unload and load CA, or if you lock/unlock the UI the CA logo will reappear even if you have it to be hidden.
I've also noticed that it doesn't seem to pick up mounted combat damage correctly. For example:
"Arancerthelion scored a critical hit with Metal and Mettle on the Sutcrofts Berserker for 2,782 (502 from 250 Fury) Beleriand damage to Morale."
gets assigned to "None" damage type, instead of Beleriand, and
"Arancerthelion scored a hit with Enduring Embers on the Sutcrofts Berserker for 3,040 (878 from 400 Fury) Fire damage to Morale."
goes to "None" damage as well, instead of fire. I'm going to take a guess and say it has something to do with the (fury damage) after the actual damage.
They've also removed the "Someone has interrupted someone else!" lines from the combat logs (whether that's a bug or not who knows), so the interrupting data is always at 0. I might post about that in another forum and see if it missing is actually a bug.
Loving the new features though, the auto save/load of encounters was badly needed by me because I always forget to save data before I log out and I like to track things over very large samples. The new customizing of windows is great too, I prefer to have the stats window with a black background because I have a hard time reading it when it's transparent, so I use to go in and change it in the code but I don't have to do that anymore!

But i only could hide all windows but not only the main window via logo button. It Would be really nice if the would be a option to hide only main window. At the moment i use the minimize button, but a full hide via logo would be nice.

I've fixed the issue where the logo reappears if you lock/unlock the UI (and a couple of minor related bugs), but I can't seem to replicate the issue where the logo doesn't stay hidden after reloading CA.

So I've adjusted the parser function to handle categorizing this case under the right damage type. Should the Fury damage value be recorded though? I haven't done any mounted combat so I don't know if this is important or not.

So, I could add something along these lines, but a few questions:
1) Why is it that you use the stats window(s) and not the main window(s) for viewing your simple stats? (note you can actually customize the main window to be smaller than the stats window)
2) Why is it that you want to be able to "hide" the main window(s) as opposed to closing them? (ie: do you still use the main window(s) sometimes?)
