I have played the game for a while on my pc, but I am now attempting to install the game on my laptop but I keep running into a problem downloading some of the files resulting in it asking me to abort, retry, or ignore(not recommended).
Here is the full message: "C:/Program Files/Turbine/The Lord of the Rings Online/client_cell_1.dat
An error occured while trying to copy a file: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.
Click retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file (not recommended), or abort to cancel installation."
The retry never seems to work and I do not wish to abort the installation or ignore parts of the download. I do not know what is wrong and I have no trouble running another mmo that I used to play on this laptop. Thanks for any help.
If you have the game installed on another PC already, you can just copy the entire game folder onto your laptop, create the desktop shortcut(TurbineLauncher.exe) and you'll be ready to roll.
