Thread: Starting anew

We are an experienced couple from another server just making a fresh start. We have both been in the game since day one and rather than boring ourselves to death grinding TC dailies and fruitless rep for a fluff horse we decided to hop on one of the new servers and start anew. For some of our toons its been over 3 years since we started them, we both had minnies when war speech was just an itch in a dev's pants. We are also using this start to roll some toons we never rolled on our old server and also reroll our favorites.

What we are looking for in our new kin is similar to what we had way back at launch. Us and a few friends from a previous game started a kin that was more like a family. We never really actively recruited, we made friends in game and they asked to join us. With new kins requiring 8 players in 5 days that route is no longer feasible so we are advertising.

Our kin and friendships grew with the game, pretty soon we were a solid group of 20 that could handle any instance and still have fun too. Unfortunately life interferes, the game got stale, and the kin disolved, but some friendships still remain today.

What we seek are players that have a desire to play the game and play it well but still joke around. We seek players that understand their classes and how to play them in a fellowship or want to learn it. We are by no means hardcore but we arent here to parade through Bree either. We dont desire 100s of members, we dont want to be the biggest or even the best for that matter. We do venture into the Moors, but it is not a focal point of our kin. If you'd rather work on your rank than help the kin run an instance, or only run with kin if you need something please look elsewhere. We will also form a creep Tribe if interested.

We prefer members with subs, f2p is ok too as long as you plan on advancing you account by either subbing in the future or adding on expansions as needed. MATURITY is a must!! (we are both over 30) Maturity isnt about age, I've played with outstanding 16 year olds and 40 year olds I thought were 12. Please check your ego at the door. An occasional curse in chat is fine, but if the F word is part of your everyday vocabulary please pass.

Our kin is currently called What Ring, but it will expire soon as we do not have enough members. We are OK with that since we have been brainstorming a few other names too. Currently our toons are just between 5-20ish, we have only been here a few days but are very impressed with Imladris as a whole. If you think you want to give us a try shoot us a tell or ingame mail at one of the toons below or even reply to this thread. If this idea takes off we have no problem starting a website and getting a vent server as our kin grows. As of now it will be an open kinship, anybody can ask to join as we get to know other players and they get to know us. We stess quality over quanity....

Thanks for all the replies. We are still actively looking for members but serious replies only. We would love to level with a tight group and do Rift/CD/Uru etc at level before Turbine changes them. If interested look for one of our officers online. We are just few, we stress quality over quanity.

Still looking for a few good men or women in the 20-35 ish range. We are getting a good solid base and could always use a few more. If you think you fit our kin, or if we fit what you seek look one of our officers up online.

We have gotten a few great additions to our little kin here. While we are not actively spamming OOC night and day we are always looking for a few good men or women. Vent server is up and our highest levels have gotten their legendaries and are staring at Moria. We generally want members 20-45ish, that fits where most of our toons are. Any class is welcome as well as all professions. If interested in a commited small kinship that knows what it is doing please look us up ingame! I also what to thank Zachhope for the kind and positive remarks, we are looking forward to it too!!

I am starting new on a new server myself and am looking for a kin such as the one you have described. In game I have a low level Warden with the name Irmachen, A Guardian with the name Florar and a Runekeeper with the name Dwarki. I am a 46 year old man in the early retirement because of a disability. I have a lifetime plan with LOTRO with all expansions already opened. My 24 year old son who lives in Germany and is currently visiting me for a couple months may also be interested in your kin. Shoot me a tell or an invite should you see me in game. Just want to say we are still looking for a few good players, all races and classes welcome. Also want to add that we would prefer higher levels as we are looking to run more and more 6 mans and 3mans towards endgame.

We arent a huge kin with tons of members in all level ranges, most of us are 55+ with mains, with a few members with multiple 65s. If a new member where to want to join our kin at a low level we would more than welcome him, he would have to realize most of his kin mates are far ahead but of course we would assist as when can. When he hits 45 we would whiz him through CD/Uru for his class items etc. We definitely arent a skirmish kin, most of us where in the game long before skirms were introduced, we do them because we HAVE to, not want to.
