Why? Champs are in a good place IMO. Great DPS, above average survivability (if you work really and I mean REALLY hard for it), and we have great morale pools when we gear for it. If you could give some reasons to back up your statements, I might see it differently, but as of now I see no reason for increased morale.
As a side note, if you trait for tanking (four deep in Martial Chamion) and enter glory stance, you get +750 morale.
Champions deserve higher morale then all other none-tanking classes but right now there is no difference.
We deserve to have 20.000 morale 'cause we're awsome. That doesn't mean we SHOULD have 20k morale. We're fine as it is, any major change will unbalance us comparatively to other classes.
PS: WTB ferocious strikes and Dire Need CDs removal from Legacy Pools.

I agree, every time i see these i die a little inside... Seems like ferocious is on almost every weapon ID now.
The other legacies i am sick of seeing on every freakin single rune is Ardour/glory crud.
That being said... There is a certain logic to something like 4 morale per Vitality for champions, if we are not ever going to get a higher melee offence from might.

Because a front line melee class should have more morale then a hunter or lore-master, especially if they're given skills that drain their morale every second.
Having been a Champion since the start of Moria I can safely say if we want or need it, we probably won't get it. Noone (that has a clue) uses ardour and the majority don't even give it the privelege of being on the skill bar. I can't see why anyone would want the 2 new legacies (And....Fear nothing CD, lololol) and the majority seems to think it's bad. It seems like alot of the things that we could use or would be helpful and dynamic largely get ignored in favour of pretty boring, cut and dry stuff.
So yeah, I wouldn't mind 1,000 more morale I guess. But chances of getting it? Nil.
And lol @ the survivability comment.
"There may come a time for valor without renown, for those without swords may surely still die upon them."
Your average Champ will always have more morale than your average Medium or Light. Why? Because Champs wear Heavy Armour, and Heavy stats are more focused on Vit and Morale than Medium or Light.
So, problem solved. What players do outside the average and on the fringes of the bell curve is their own thing.
That said, 4/5 Martial Champion comes with 750 Morale when in Glory too, don't forget.

All those legacies could be good, except Turbine makes them sucky..
Imagine a Ferocious CD LEgacy that brought it down to 5 seconds.
Or a Fear nothing CD legacy that brought it to 30 seconds.
Or a Dire need CD legacy that lowers it to 10 minutes.
Problem is most of the utility legacies suck compared to raw damage skills. Who cares if a CD goes from 30 minutes to 25 minutes? Make these legacies compete with AOE or Brutal damage and then SOME champs would slot them. As it is there are two teirs of legacies... The damage legacies everyone wants and the trash that just gets in the way.

Are you talking about CBR? Because that skill is meant to be risky. Most of loremasters skills have a morale cost for each skill, hunters now have blood arrow which also costs them morale. Also how much morale are we talking about champs having? A champ can easily get 6000 morale unbuffed, if you work at it you can get closer to 6500ish, and I know there's a few crazy ones that have even more. Most loremasters are sitting at under 6k as are most average hunters (unbuffed). I'm pretty happy with my morale pool personally, don't think an extra 1000 would make a difference.
Also... STRONGLY agree on removal of dire need CD/ferocious strikes cd/fear nothing cd/... I could also care less for the ardour/glory legacies - but I know there'd be too much QQ about those for all those ardour champs out there.

You could make a case for the extra vit, but most champs have no problem hitting the 6-6.5k range in morale. I'd much rather continue to beat the melee offense dead horse.
The dire-need legacy is pretty nice out in the moors, sorry I won't sign off on that.
Fear nothing, and the ferocious 'quick fix' legacy is a joke. Fix the skill we don't need CD's on a trait no one should have slotted except for very unique situations.
While I don't see a particular cause for Champs to be singled out for more morale, I do think that armour type should impact the morale you get from vitality as follows:
Heavy armour +4 morale per vit (guard and warden somehow magically get 5/1 from their class roles)
Medium armour +3 morale per vit
Light armour +2 morale per vit
This would simply make sense as the heavier duty your armour is, the more confident you will be when taking damage, thus it increases your morale.
If you don't believe this to be the case: if required to be struck with a 4ft long 8-12lb sword across your back, would you rather be wearing plates of steel, plates of leather or a silk robe?

Actually, that's a good point. The CD reductions fall short of being useful. If they actually brought them down by that much than I would put much more faith in them.
"There may come a time for valor without renown, for those without swords may surely still die upon them."
Messing around with somewhat useless gear, I can get to 7,744 morale unbuffed; 8,529 morale with self buffs (token, destiny, vit food, etc); and approximately 10,800 with cappie and mini (does not include RK's mending verse), and I don't have any of the BG pieces.
But I would never do this as my other stats would absolutely stink. Two of the pieces that make up this build are Lomrandir (level 50 random drop chest-piece with +90 maximum morale) and Starkbog (loot from Urugarth boss--- shoulders with +90 maximum morale).
