    Post-F2P Silverlode?

    Hello old friends!

Good news for me and the Silverlode community! I will hopefully be getting a new computer for christmas. My older one really crapped out. The motherboard fried after playing FFXIV for a while (worste mmo ever).

Anyway...I'll get right down to buisness. Now that Free to Play option has been out for a few months, how are all the veterans feeling now about the state of silverlode and the general state of LOTRO in general? I stopped playing right after the release of Edenwaith so I didnt experience any of the free to play change.

I do recall a lot of people having very negative opinions on the change before it happend. I am just curious if the veterans feel the F2P change had a positive impact, a negative impact, or no real change at all?

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

My opinion on the changes to the game is that they've been overall good. We're getting new content more quickly (look at the new content release schedule pre-Isengard for next year). The store buttons are a bit annoying at time, but I don't feel they really impact the game too much

On Silverlode specifically, I'd say things are improving and doing better than ever. The number of new people I've met, recruited and just seen around in the chat channels of the low level regions really shows how F2P has helped increase server populations throughout LOTRO.

These F2P Players are also NOT the "Terrible" people all thought they would be. From my experience they fit in well with the LOTRO community as a whole.

Obviously, since F2P's release, not everything is sunshine and daisies. We're still stuck in the same raid content. No new instances since Mirkwood's release, but with what appears to be lots of new stuff on the way, I think things are looking up.

Oh its terrible. Fire, brimstone, the sky falling, et cetera et cetera.

Or, actually, s'pretty much the same as before tbh. Only with more people and a few product placement ads for the store - but they aren't all -that- intrusive that they're constantly crawling up your nose, I don't think. Been pretty bearable overall and business as usual, yep yep. ^_^

    Welcome back!
