Dear Nimrodel (and Turbine),

In lieu of the fact that RUNEKEEPERS DPS harder than me (a minstrel), (pretend to) heal harder than me (a minstrel), and now HAVE GLOWING HANDS...

...a week-long protest against the removal of my (minstrel) GLOWING HANDS begins!

[To glff] '*** Attn Nimrodel: In protest of the fact that RUNEKEEPERS get 'Glowy Hands' now, for the next 7 days, all RUNEKEEPERS shall be banned from Sethco PUGS!!! ***'

For 1 week, no PUG I am involved with shall hath a RUNEKEEPER.
Am I sorry for these RUNEKEEPERS? Not really. Know this is not personal - it's a statement to Turbine!


In the Lore, many magical things occurred. Shiny items, and swords, and special things...

Can't we, the minstrel, have a 'special thing' that makes our HANDS GLOW when we're in War Speech?

I wouldn't complain if minstrels, in a sympathetic protest, decided not to heal RUNEKEEPERS for the next 7 days in Moors-land...
It might give the Creeplings an actual chance to munch on their tasty, but chiseled hides

I find the thread funny but I don't like rk's as it is :P except for a few out there.

Well, I suppose I should really separate the GLOWY HANDS PETITION thing from my foolish, utterly pointless, and some might say excluding business with the RUNEKEEPERS...

• Sign the petition for GLOWING HANDS to have them reinstated;
• Mock me for (now) 6 more days of RUNEKEEPER protest and/or giggle at the light-hearted sentiment / class envy

And for those desperate RKs with no alts, I guess I might make a concession and fellow on my burglar (though it be a foolish, and utterly insignificant little hobbit who tries to fly under the radar)

...Or for any RKs who care, I hear hobbits CAN be bribed with food

I've compared parses with Sly, it's equal ST DPS in a group situation... Though Sly will end up using a LOT more power than me.

the only thing i dislike about RK healing is the fact that you can freaking restore power by using self-motivation...the only thing i'd ask for a minstrel is some sort of power restore skill, melee or tactical, don't matter.

All minis and hunters should /delete and reroll RKs :P

Well, the pseudo-protest is over, but amongst the foolishness and indifference, a modicum of support has emerged!

Now, if only I can somehow pretend to be a hunter and con...vince them to throw minstrels their stu-port

If minnies are demanding glowy hands again, I want to be able to rip the face off a defeated enemy and temporarily replace my skull mask with it.

*sighs* If Glowy Hands appeared in the Turbine store (STRONG GLARE TOWARDS STORE DEVELOPERS), I'd buy them! For both minstrels

Why? The glowing hands were stupid and violate the lore. We're minstrels, not wizards, and magic in Middle Earth is subtle, not flashy. Besides, how does War SPEECH involve our hands? If it was going to have a constant glow, it should have been a corona or halo around our heads, or something.

If you want flashy magic effects, you should be playing DDO or WoW or something. Don't ruin Middle Earth.

Did you? There have been a TON of changes to the game since I bought my lifetime subscription, and most of it has seriously undermined the game, in my opinion. It's not the same game I bought, anymore.

Theres a way to fix that. Got Warspeech? Do you use it? Don't!!! Got a Warden? a Rune Keeper? Delete them!!! I see you have a toon at 55, DELETE!!!! and reroll and don't level past 50!!! Don't use LI's (thats actually an awesome idea) Don't skirmish, get your class items the old fashioned, you know, by doing CD and Uru at LEVEL!!!! Meaning with a group of all 50's!!! Do you watch TV? use electricity? Are you forming an Amish kinship? Things change in game, deal with it, or don't play.

I'm a Warrior Skald. You're suggesting I shouldn't use the definitive ability of my class?

I don't play a Runekeeper, specifically because I don't think they belong in Middle Earth.

I actually don't like using Legendary items. They're not terribly legendary if everyone and his dog has them.

I don't think telling people not to play is terribly productive or very good for the game.
