I had to leave last week just as the event was about to begin. But I did get to meet Fronagon before I left. ^_^
Hopefully I will be able to make this week's meeting. I've wanted to attend every week since the event got going, but my Saturday nights are really working against me.

Reason: Typo.
It was nice meeting you there, Saora. As for my plans for the evening- If you ever seen Fronagon without his cloak, you might notice he has a eye patch. I will be telling the tale of why he needs it. I most certainly plan to be there.

Miss Ghraye plans to be there as well, and to be on time!
(That is, provided I don't lose my power/internet to the high winds we're experiencing today. With an approaching winter storm, you never know what's gonna happen.)
the Windriders of Rohan may appear tonight in full-force! We're having an End-of-Yule party before FTIL that ends in us walking in formation through the Shire and Bree. If you see us, don't be shy!

I had a great time at the meeting last week. Even though the turn-out was not so great, it was very nice meeting everyone. ^_^
I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it this week, but I definitely want to attend another meeting very soon. My husband is also planning on attending. He has a special tale that he would like to share with everyone.
But, I changed my mind. "The orcs made no boast of that duel at the gate; nor do elves sing of it, for their sorrow is to deep." But I will probably be at the prancing pony. I hope to see you all there.

So the plans that I thought would get in the way of me being there tonight have been moved up quite a few hours, and now I am 99% sure that I will be there!

Well, I enjoyed our gathering this past weekend, small though it was. Miss Ghraye feels she needs to bring something more to these celebrations, so she spoke with Singerlinger, the Vault's senior minstrel. As a result, she now has a flute and a growing repertoire of tunes she plans to bring next week!
My visit to the Finer Things in Life might be short, but I will defiantly try to be there. My story will be about one well-known golden haired elf. No... it's not Legolas.
Sorry for being consistently late for these, not to mention leaving fairly early as well. My PC has not liking LOTRO very much since I moved back into my apartment for some reason and it is driving me mad! I haven't been able to play properly for over a week.
At any rate, I was pretty disappointed with last night's FTIL. Not on the part of the RPers of couse, but all the griefers! I asked many of them to please stop via tells, explaining to them that Fron was trying to tell a story while RPing with us and they were being disruptive. They all just ignored me or said 'So what?'. Unfortunately my ignore list got a bit fuller
Talking to Kharrn and Brie though, they had a pretty good suggestion. They thought maybe we could break the gathering up into two sections. The first section would be at the steps of the Pony, like it has been. We would all sit and chat and wait for people to arrive. After that we could then move to either the interior of the Pony (possibly the main room or one of the larger side rooms) or the Mess Hall to do our story telling/music. In this way, I feel, we could still do the job I originally set out to do -- promote RP on our server -- but also move out of the way of the disruptive Bree traffic.
What do you all think?

I think that is an excellent suggestion. I too was annoyed at the griefers, hopefully we can learn to dodge them while being welcoming to those who wish to join and enjoy the event!
Tonight I think was a good success, despite a rocky start.
It was good to see some fresh faces! I'm glad that I went around Bree-land about 2 hours before and half an hour before to announce the event.
I spoke to the kin leader of Guardians of the Night. He claims he was trying to get the more... *cough* rambunctious members of his kin to leave us alone. Hopefully they will not bother us anymore.
I will work on doing a write up for this week.
Look forward to seeing everyone next Saturday!

Heya, I'm a new member to the Lotro community. Was wanting to join you guys to what goes on at one of these events but arrived home a little later than expected. I saw you on your own having a smoke outside of The Prancing Pony. Anyways, really looking forward to be meeting you guys next Saturday.
I really enjoyed last night's gathering, rambunctious griefers notwithstanding. The music was wonderful, and Fronagon offered a particularly spellbinding tale for us. And it was also great to meet new people such as Dalthalion. It bodes well for future events.
Last night rocked. It was pretty cool seeing all the people there. I wish I could have had the time to have gotten to know everyone better. I won't be around next week, because a trip will take me away. I will be back just a couple hours after the event. Aw....
Okay, so this coming weekend (Feb 5) I am inviting you all to my cozy Bree-land home for the second half of our gathering! 6 Chestnut Street, Foxlin neighborhood of the Bree Homesteads.
Hopefully this will allow us to break out of our usual 'tavern RP' style and open up the RP possibilities a bit more
Bit of background on my house (that I will probably cover IC when we are there, but just a heads up for those confused). Sagewood is the actual owner of the house and is referred to as 'the Landlady' by Cithryth and Herefara. Sagewood is allowing them to stay at her home while they are in Eriador, provided they do some services for her (make her weapons and clothing, mostly and help her pay off the house).

Miss Ghraye is looking forward to attending this week's event, though she might have to curtail her visit somewhat due to an early work schedule in the morning.
That was lovely! Thanks for humoring me on my tour of the neighborhood! I think it was very nice to take a little 'trip' for our RP event. I shall get to work on a write up as soon as I can!
Maybe next week we can go on a fishing trip?

Yes it was! My first experience was quite an enjoyable one. One thing I was wondering though, is there a way to have the (say) chat in a separate tab than the rest? Or a way to sort of filter the 'general' chat tab. With all the people chatting in LFF, Advice, Regional etc, kind of confuses me a bit. Finding myself scrolling through the chat a few times just because I missed what someone said... Or maybe it just takes some getting used too? Still fairly new
Yes...I just use "say" in my fellowship/raid tab since we don't normally fellow for FTIL, then right click the tab. That should bring up a menu that includes "change filters", and you can switch off anything you don't want to see in that tab.
Sorry it's taking so long, but I took a lot of pictures, and editing them with Photoshop (Which I recently started using) and I just started writing the review.
I am so proud of myself! I managed to tell Saturdays story with only two words written beforehand.
We will count you in! There is a possibility Fron might not show up, because he is busy in Moria. That is not likely, but... one of his alts will try to show.
I'm really sorry about the time it took for me to do my writeup.
I will be doing a short write-up. That was a cool meeting, even though it seemed small. We got to listen to poems, and meet Cithryths husband. It was almost like he was on cue!
Anyway... If I can get a write-up onto the computer, I will do it- I've just lost computer source number two.
On next week- It sounds like a blast! Everyone should brush up on their fishing skills. I will not be able to attend, unfortunately- I have a second trip coming up.
So this week we are going on a fishing trip! Please make sure you have done the initial start-up quest for picking up this hobby. I will be posting reminders in Bree-land and Bree-town a few hours before hand to remind everyone. I will also come bearing extra fishing rods for those who show up and don't have them, so long as they already have the hobby skill.
Should be fun!

I would love to participate, role-playing i found quite enjoyable in some of my previous TBG's.
Depending on the day and time you start, i'll definitely attempt to be involved.
I live in Australia and have limited times when it's crossing over timezones, but it sounds like fun!
