If I was a member of Lonely Mountain Band in the past, am I able to reapply? I was gone for about 4 months due to trying out other games and also some real-life situations. When I came back I was no longer in the kin but I can understand since it was quite a long time away. Before I filed an application I just wondered if I still qualify to apply?
My characters, although quite awhile back you may not remember, were Kyodo and Neilsen.

Hallo Kyodo! I remember you! Indeed you may come back. In fact just get in touch with me or any other officer with what you posted and we will reinstate your membership!
Our roster gets pruned regularly, and those who dont log in over a certain time may get dropped. We now have a thread in our kin forums for those who go on extended leaves to post so we dont BOOT accidently

I attended the Ales and Tales event last night for the first time. I had a great time! I would like to submit an application to join, but am unable to find a link at http://lonelymountainband.guildlaunch.com/ that enables me to fill out an application. Am I blind or is there some other way of doing it?
At that site, under the LMB picture header, see the tabs available. Choose the one that reads: "Kinship Roster" (apply here). And thank you for your interest!

Sorry for the headache.
My Middle Earth is not the address for applying to the LMB. If that is what you are looking to do;..........
My personal apologies for your confusion! Although I dont service the host sites mentioned it looks as if http://www.lonelymountainband.com/ is the more confusing link.
I would have considered this guild for my bard, Maarien, but their induction procedures seem fairly strict.
Beyond that, I'm looking to be in a criminal RP guild anyway so it wouldn't have been the best fit.
For players interested in learning more about the Lonely Mountain Band, one of the best ways to check us out is to visit an Ales and Tales, Mondays at 10:30pm EST! Our traveling pub features free refreshments (see Tinki in her yellow robe and hat, or her assistants such as the dwarf Mithrilfist!) and quality entertainment provided by the audience themselves. And if you miss a show, you can catch up with the Ales and Tales podcast!
The Spring Racing Carnival planning is now being finalized! This will be Landrovals and indeed LOTROs largest horse racing event. Membership has grown to over 640 and we are itching to deliver another server wide event .

Hello, may I ask howmany active European players there are in your kin ?
Also if events include this timezone time wise ?
Many greetings
I can't give exact numbers, but we do have perhaps a dozen EU members active at this time. Our EU membership has been growing recently so many of our events are now scheduled at a time when they can participate. For example we have Ales & Tales Monday evening US time zone and the Andune Ensemble concerts Monday evening EU time zone. We have also been setting up a spring horse racing series with some of the races scheduled to happen at times when EU players can participate. Certainly we have more activities during inconvenient times for EU players, but our hope is, as our EU contingent grows more and more activities will be run by them at times convenient to EU players. Hope that helps.
LMB just had our 4 year anniversary!
We all posed in the swan fountain:
We had a sing-a-long for our LMB anthem!
And then we all mounted up and rode to the Prancing Pony!
When we got there, we put on the biggest band performance I've ever seen!
I believe we've set a new record for the biggest band performance. 21 musicians were playing in the OWTAEBBB Megaband on April 1.
Way to go, Lonely Mountain Band!
Yup! That was our April Fools Satunday Night Skiegermish Angry Mob Fun Run!! We were all very angry...about something. The hobbits were yelling about pie, some of us were angry about hats, and I'm not sure what other folks were angry about, but we were all very, very angry...about some stuff.
Actually, our original plan had been to hold it all in a skirmish, with all the appropriate crazed skirmish soldiers to add to the crazy, but it turns out they turned off all the 24-man skirmishes, which made us EVEN MORE ANGRY WITH RAGEICIDE!!
So, we chopped and poked and hacked and banged our way through the whole of Dol Dinen (note * hobbit hunters dual-wielding frying pans is a special kind of crazy). You'd be surprised how long it takes 24 people level 30 to 75 to beat down an 11k morale troll doing an average of approximately 8 dps.
speaking of which, we had one guy for a brief time actually harass us for being a pile full of suck - claiming that we had no business playing the game if 24 of us couldn't kill one troll. I can only assume at some point someone in the company pointed out that he should inspect our equipment - after that, he got into the spirit of things.
sorry if we disrupted Dol Dinen for a time - we appreciate your patience with our angry mob, and I'm glad you enjoyed our spectacle.
The "Lonely Mountain Band" of Landroval is a rank 10 kinship established in March of "08". Present membership is now over 700.
Galenhir, Our founder, Plays in a Celtic music band and is a member of the Prestigious Tolkien Society. He contributes heavily at A Casual Stroll to Mordor, and Middle Earth Network.org. Harperella and Lennidhren are our co-leaders
Do you want to find a kin with a good foundation of mature family friendly chat, friendly social interaction in game with help available for questing and crafting? While we are now a large and active kinship we have many who just want to belong and play at slower pace too. Are you a EURO player? We welcome you!
WEATHERSTOCK is our flagship event! In fact, it is the largest player event in LOTRO! A yearly "Battle of the Bands" in a 4 hour marathon on top of Weathertop! 300 gold prize monies make it the richest player event in this game!
We are the kinship that founded the "Ales and Tales" weekly rp event (140 plus weeks running) and the "Nibbles and Nobs" party for the early attendees. Also we intermingle with many other fine kins in their various events. This is an open event and a great place to get your RP "feelers".
Speaking of music, we actually have 2 CDs available of original Middle Earth music produced by our founder! "OLD WINYARDS" is our house band. The "BBB" Troupe, an interesting and sometimes rogue traveling film and music show resides here. And look for the "Anduine Ensemble" among our ranks!
"Windy Acres Ranch" is a new and exciting horse related venture run by our own Kiralynn. Among other things, we are kept posted of the latest in horse availability, and all horse racing events. We are now in the season of the annual Spring Racing Carnival!
LMB owns 4 neighborhoods; "Raglan" in the Bree Homesteads, "Oldfurlong" in the Shire Homesteads, "Hliflak" Dwarven neighborhood ,and Imlath Irvin Elven neighborhood!
End game play is regularly run, but we do not specifically raid for gear.
Our April 1st "Angry Mob" raid on Dol Dinen. Note pitchforks and frying pans!
If you want to belong to a kin that is well respected, and has some of the greatest people to mingle with, then please consider applying to www.alesandtales.com. We do have an application process, and strongly advise any applicant to attend one of our events.
Done that all ready. Just wasn't sure if I missed anything else I might have to do. I was real tired when I filled the rest of it out last night. Heh. ^^:
I joined LMB couple of days ago and they are everything that I've expected, and more. Everyone are friendly oriented people with great energy and love towards the Tolkien universe and this game. Great stuff, indeed.
