The Order of the Black Arrow has opened it's door for a bit in search of some good mature members. We do believe in "quality over quanity" however we are laid back and love to have a good time.
We are pretty close and do alot together. We have ongoing campaigns such as our Horse Campaign where the kinship buys horses for it's active members. We also are working on some neat activities like possible a scavenger hunt that encourages our members to dive deep into the imagination of Tolkien.

The only restrictions we have are that you must be able to participate in conversations without looking like the bratty neighbor kid next door, and that you must be age 13 or older. Sense of humor optional but it is deeply encouraged and welcome .

The Knights of the Northern Alliance is a kinship on the Vilya Server. We are a small, mature, friendly and helpfull guild looking for more members. We value honor and helping each other out. Through carefull recruiting, because we prefer quality over quantity, we will keep this family close together and we will keep an growing slowly. We are not raiders, some of us might raid eventually, but that is not the focus of this kinships. My hopes are to have a very fun Kinship first, and I believe this is the main purpose, but I will be needing lots of help from you in organizing and maintaining the fun atmosphere which is so important.
The kinship will be based in the United States for now, but later once the kinship grows we will be excepting members from all over the world.
Vagabond will be a versatile kinship. There are no restrictions on levels, race, or class. However, you must be at least 18 years old to be a member. The kinship will focus on all aspects of the game in the beginning, but change can be implemented if the majority of the members favor it.

Wrath of Phoenix has a long standing history stemming back from the original guild I created way back in Star Wars Galaxies. Tyrenain Rebels (TYR). That was the first guild that I created that started an in game / guild friendship and bond that still carried weight today. We were one of the largest guilds on the Intrepid server and thrived in SWG making a name for ourselves.
Once new games came online, of course, our members moved onto something better, or just something different, all the while establishing “sister” guilds from the original TYR guild. This way we could carry on the values and history that has made this group of people as strong as they are today.
So, again we venture into a new game, carry the guild banner and setting up shop in LoTRO.
We are a mature guild. We've had members in MMOs since the beginning of the genre, and have been together as a guild ever since the start of Star Wars Galaxies (SWG). We've been through a lot, but we're a family, and we stick together.
We are adventurers and explorers. Warriors fighting player and NPC. Crafters, role players, sometimes even storytellers. Our guild doesn't focus on any one area to the exclusion of others. Lord of the Rings Online is a big game, and our guild is going to get into all of it.
We are NOT a mega-guild, nor do we want to be one. We are not packing our ranks with random meatheads. We are not a specialty guild. We are not a grind or a raid guild full of Vent-screaming chair jockeys whose only accomplishments come online. We are not a daycare, and we are absolutely not a guild for children... no matter how old they are.
Let's face it -- our average member is a hard-working middle-something, looking to have fun and blow off steam after a long day of solving other people's problems for a living. Our guildchat is going to be full of salty language. We're going to be giving each other hell. We're going to post crass, stupid, sometimes funny pictures on the website. We're a bunch of friends who work hard and play hard, and if things turn PG-21, so be it. It's all in good fun. That's why we're here.
Alternate characters are great, and encouraged. Guild members with alts should make an effort to let each other know who's who.
It is not mandatory that alternate characters be guilded. Everybody needs a quiet night now and then.
In the interest of avoiding complications, guild members should avoid having alternate characters in other guilds, under most circumstances. If a player would like to do so for whatever reason, that player should discuss doing so with a guild elder, so we know what's going on.
East Coast Elders is a Kinship of casual players who are over 18 and who live on the east coast of the USA. Our members are usually online from 4pm EST to 1am EST. The Kinship is currently only available on the Meneldor server.

Our kinship was founded by my friend Renwulf Goldenleaf, who I quested with in our first fellowship, on Day One of our intro instance during beta. We continually quested together for some time, developing our style of sharing everything we had in mats and quests with each other, to our mutual benefit. We eventually ended up joining separate kinships that were good in their own right, but left something to be desired. Renwulf created our kinship but recruiting was not his forte'. I eventually joined his kinship 3 weeks later to become his officer, and in charge of recruiting. It was a match made in heaven, as were in a kinship that expressed our playstyles and goals. I would recruit new members through our style of sharing mats, making armour, tools, etc. and questing to just help out, and Renwulf would then take that new member and quest with them to teach them the ins and outs of the game. And then that new member would pay it forward. Many of my friends from before our kinship started have joined since then, and remained with us.
We take on new members who play like us, are willing to share the mats they don't need, make stuff free for each other, quest to help others in the kin at the drop of a hat, and will also treat our new allies from our "Legacy of the Last Alliance" kinshipmembers in much the same way. Greed is not a part of us, nor selfish play, and power-levelling is not a priority, though we will help you level. We love the lore of Tolkien as well. We have a very family-like closeness and atmosphere.

I am Ermanatar, and I started this kinship back in Sept. 2007 with a goal: To gather together a group of active, frequent players like me that were willing to help eachother achieve quest completions, level advances and secure, kinship-only trades. We have a tight-knit group of officers that are always willing to help!
The Path of The Dunedain is preparing to enter into it's next phase of development. This phase is the recruitment phase. The Path is a level 8 Rank kinship with Grandmasters in most of the skills and very close to GM in the others. Our time has been devoted to laying the groundwork for a strong kinship. Our purpose is basically to recruit, train, and or equip new members for the battles ahead and offer a path to the service of the Dunedain.
We are currently accepting applications for the position of Officers and Recruiter. Officers will be responsible for assisting in Kinship upkeep activites and with planning and executing events. Officers will also assist with fellowship leadership and coordinating quests. The position of Recruiter will have the responsibility of interacting with new members as well as seeking out potential members.

While we will definately focus on end game and raiding, our primary focus will be on helping new players and recruits reach their potential. This not only means equipment and fellowships but also basic information on how to survive in Middle-Earth and how to be an effective member of a fellowship.
The Council of Elders is a rank 7 kinship on Meneldor, made up of members over the age of 20 (and on average tending to be a good deal older). We have a solid group of loyal members who have advanced to the 40-to-50 range, leaving a gap in the lower levels. We'd like to fill that in order to maintain a nice diversity, but of course we are interested in meeting folks playing all levels.
We tend toward casual play, and are moving toward more kinship groups on epic quests. Everyone is quite helpful and easygoing. We don't believe in pressure in-game: we're all in the game to relax and have fun. We are dabbling in (optional) role playing, and it seems to be catching on. We ask for members to maintain PG-rated language and observe some basic rules concerning fair play and common courtesy. Solo players are fine, though we do ask that you participate from time to time in groups so that you don't become an outsider. Please send a PM to get more info.
