We had a decent thunderstorm last night. I love thunderstorms! :-D

Wow. How bad is it that that is my best news for today? Maybe something exciting will happen today that will be post-worthy lol

Morning everyone. Definitely not a good morning, but the sun has again risen.

I finally got a hold of the contractor last night. He says that the phone I gave him cut out every time he tried to make a call. He has a personal phone and is staying in a hotel that has phones. He also said that he simply didn't complete the very important task that I wanted to talk to him about because he knew he wasn't doing it right. Which is why I needed him to call me......

Not cool at all.

The vikings lost, so that is something.........

I am drinking some coffee, collecting my cool before I call this guy back. I might need a replacement for him, but I don't think his company has one and I don't have time to train someone else. Of course I don't have time to try to work with someone who is not doing things right either.....

oof.

Finally, after many screw-ups, I got my mom's walker dealt with at 10pm last night. Before that, I went to choir practice and totally butchered my solo audition. Been too many years, and it really was not the right song for me. =/ C'est la vie.

Also, while I was at practice last night, the lady across the street came over and asked if her daughter, who is the same age as my youngest, could ride to school with us this morning. The lady's son was having eye surgery this morning. Owed, knowing how I would answer, told her "of course". Sadly, no one told me until 8am this morning, when my kiddo started talking about her friend Sophie, and how excited she was that her friend would be going to school with us. Since the back seat is not in my minivan at the moment, and there is still stuff from my dad's house keeping me from just tossing it in there, I have already walked a mile this morning. Yeah, it's good for me, but it is the reason for the first line of my post.

Latte's all around on me. Just got my 6 months evaluation raise. (6 months ago they made me a manager, put me on salary from hourly, and promised a 5k hike if I survived).

Well I survived, my boss told me I was not sucking, and to keep up the not sucking.

Only throw half the money until the job is complete! I went with my roofer and bought the materials with him, then we settled up on the labor after the job was done.

Me.. still have the headache. Spent the day in bed yesterday running a fever on and off, finally go up today but still feeling like ick. no other symptoms other than headache and intermittent fever. wish it would just go away.

Weather has just been gorgeous around here. Now if I could just find a nice part time job I would be a very happy camper.

All I gotta say today is that the flu sucks. *chugs nyquil to make the day go away*

Good afternoon Landrovalrim!

I have my classes picked out for next term and I'm excited to get started, even though I have to wait until Nov 1. This is the first term I've done where I actually had some time to relax at the end. Next term I'll be taking two programming classes, one on Win7, and one on "Web Technologies" which should be my "fun" class. At this rate, I will be graduating in March '12, whee!

I am wearing sunglasses at my desk right now. This is the part of the day where the sun shines right into my eyes, but I won't complain because I have a window

I think I am having more issues with this contractor than I originally thought. I explained things to him this morning, and I fixed the problem from yesterday, but in the process I found that he was doing something else that was very bad. Not illegal or anything, just something that I specifically told him several times not to do.

I have managed to keep my cool though. I didn't yell at him, although it would make me feel better it won't accomplish anything. At this point he is either going to be gone or he won't. No screaming is warranted.

So.. I have this nice semi new house right? and there are no screens in the windows. they are all in the garage. and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to put the screens in so I can enjoy the lovely fall weather Bleh..

So i need to go to the store.. I can go to the small store near me (5 miles) or to the bigger store, more selection (15 miles) how lazy do I feel? or how much do I need thats not basic? hmm decisions decisions

Well, it looks like I'm going to become a Xerox employee on the 18th.
It was confusing. I don't remember the army giving out this much paper work with their applications. This might be nice, if I survive the transition.

To all who are not feeling well, feel better. To those who are frustrated at work, may you relax. To those who are doing great, happy dance. Had a 15 hour day today - another 3 days of day long meetings. Yikes. But part of the news today was very nice bonuses coming...
