Thread: What should I know?

I recently started playing Lord of the Rings Online even though my knowledge of the series itself is limited. I'm currently playing an elf and want to start roleplaying on this game, but I'm not sure what my character should know. Any suggestions on what areas I should do a bit of research on? Or should I start my RP experiences on a different race to make my life easier?

I'm not new to roleplaying itself, by the way--just LotRO roleplaying. xD

This is an excellent place to start. If that isn't enough, the book titled The Silmarillion is your next stop.

Ah, thank you! My step-dad has a copy of that book, if I remember correctly, so I'll pick that up when I get the chance.

Be sure to check out the sticky on the top of this forum for some good helpful roleplaying tips and resources.

I've been to that sticky, and while I'm appreciative of the resources, it's like trying to read a textbook to study for one test. I'm looking for more specific information that my character NEEDS to know before I dive into roleplaying.

Also if you want the best roleplaying experience you should then play on Landroval(unoficial RP US server)
