Is there a way that we can predict what stats the scaled up rift set will have, based on comparisons between the scaled up and original hele and annuminas sets?

What if the set goes gold instead of teal? But other than that, we could probably make a good guess.. Not sure its worth it though.

    Not the guy from Ireland....

MIC is my own personal (and stupid) abbreviation for Morale in Combat... Otherwise known as In combat Morale Regen (ICMR).

I used it in my first version of the Item spreadsheets back in SOA days (it was one character shorter), and somehow never remember to update it to the common usage.

Does the 334.2 adjusted MIC for the West Tower set mean extra 334.2 morale per minute in combat?

Im trying to figure out whether the West Tower set or the Dragon-Scale set is better for me, and whether it is better than the 4 Bladmaster/2 Beserker combination I currently used. I have the Deathstorm Boots and Gloves, but I no longert have the opportunity to raid BG. I mainly solo, PvMP, and DPS in groups. I off-tank only occasionally.

Adjusted MIC takes into account the Fate contribution of 1.5 * Fate.

MIC is in Morale per minute. So 334.2 morale per minute.

I would not recommend the Tower set, you will give up a lot of agility compared to other sets. I am looking at it merely as an experimental build where i need more ICMR.

Do you recommend the Dragon-scale set over the 4 BM/2 Berserker Combination? It seems like with Dragon-scale you gain 444 armour, 40 Might, and 1668 +healing in exchange for losing 184 morale, 158 power, and 61 agility.

I am using the 4 blademaster, 2 helegrod option. I t was 2 or 3 less stat points (Might, agility, vitality), but added back in 80 morale compared to my old 4BM/2 berserker setup.

While it was a tiny upgrade i would not normally have bothered with, it gave me what I did need: Something to do.

I also took the advantage of the swing in stats towards might to remove discipline as a virtue and put in Determination (adding 30 agility back in.) And I used stat tomes and a vit legacy scroll to add in some vitality so that i could get back up to 600 vitality (along with swapping in fidelity for Loyalty).

What I am really looking forward to is level 65 rift armor. We will then be able to get 3 stat bonuses from 65 berserker, Hele, and rift armor.

Is there any thought to a comparative build with the 5/6 or 6/6 West-Tower with say a 2/3 Berserker because with the shield and/or cloak from the West-Tower set you could pull the 5/6 (and with shield 6/6) bonuses while still leaving spots open to get a 2/? set bonus from another group. Obviously the 6/6 is unlikely without going to a heavy-shield based tanking build but the 5/6 West-Tower with 2 from another set could be a viable build though still lacking in agility, and of course the need to run with the West-Tower cloak (which has no agility) .

I have usually run with 4 BM/2 Berserker in the past, but lately I have been using the Malladhrim Glooming Chest and Gauntlets more often. They have much less stats, but the reduced Common damage on chest, and the heal on hit on gauntlets makes them the best pieces for a lot of content (anything with large numbers of weak hitting common damage mobs, wounds or poisons).

Thanks for both spreadsheets. I've played around with them a lot, and for us non-raiders, I can't see anything beating the 4 Blademaster 2 Beserker setup.

    Re: Updated Champion Armor Spreadsheet

Well, I just saw this thread pop up on my Preferences again.. And i thought i should at least update people on what im using now.

With the teir 4 tomes offered this weekend I went way over 600 on might and vitatilty (and just about hit 600 agility). So i decided that is a waste.

I totally reconfigured my setup to try and get back to about 600 might and Vitality.

I used the MAlledhrirm Gauntlets of gloaming which give the 74 morale heal on 15% of incoming hits. I also used the Epic book Helm which gives the 25% dev mag on 15% of incomming hits. And finally the (i think) Epic book breastplate which gives - damage on incoming common hits.

I put back on the Berserker Boots and Shoulders for the 20 Vit and Agi bonus, and rounded it out with BM leggings for the power (i was down to 1500 power).

With this and a might legacy on my rune and weapon (didnt even have to put Discipline back on) I was able to get back to 600 might and like 598 vitality. But I am much more survivable now.

One problem with this is the low Radiance. This will only affect raiding (which i havent been doing much of), but only till radiance is removed. For soloing and instance runs this is working out very well. Ran the Library the other day, the birds are a joke with those gloves and Breastplate.

Course, if the Kinship Captains stop slotting for IDOME, I may have to go back to the more stat based build.

    Re: Updated Champion Armor Spreadsheet

I'm running 5/6 BG armor with crafted Mirkwood gloves of gloaming that give ~80 morale back 15% of the time for moors action. You do lose quite a bit of agility with this setup however the proc for morale has proven to be by far worthwhile over the ~.3% crit chance the agility gives. This setup also gives me a slighlty higher morale level as the gloves also have 190 morale.

For raiding, it's straight 6/6 BG which gives the best overall "stats" for my jewelry/LI setup.

I've also experimented with the Mirkwood crafted helm, but giving up the stats on the BG helm seems too costly imo.

Going forward, I hope to do more experiments with crit and + dev magnitude gear. I'll report my overall findings here in the future.

As always, thanks for the update and hard work Hakon!

The link to my gear is available by clicking on my name in my sig.

    Re: Updated Champion Armor Spreadsheet

Ok I updated the sheet with a few of the Items I mentioned above (Arthar, avanham). And i added a few new builds.
    https://sites.google.com/site/haakon...champion-armor

Here is a screenshot of the sets tab:

With the +40 stat tomes and a little tweaking of legacies or virtues, you can pretty easily maintain 600 might and vitality with any of the three new builds. I'm leaning towards the top one with the Dragon scale breastplate. The BP gives me the same common damage protection, and the helm gives me back some Incoming healing so i don't have to bump my rune up. This set also gives me more radiance so i don't have to swap armor as much when encountering dread.

The Double heals setup is cool. The Gloves of Gloaming and the Whirlwind helm appear to be on separate checks for heals, At least once last night i saw both heals proc on the same hit. Ran The library again last night with this setup with only a DPS spec'd LM for heals, seemed very smooth. Avanham removes a lot of damage from the birds, and the double heals helped a lot.

Did a little math to see the value of Arthar.... For brutal, the dev mag is about 225.. (175 from a crit + 50 dev). Assuming another 15% or so from relics, we'll call it 250% Dev mag. So adding 25% (250 + 25 = 275%) to that means im adding 10% more damage on a dev hit (25/250). Assuming a dev crit rate of about 5%, means you will be adding about .5% DPS (5% * 10%... IE, 5% of the time you are doing 10% more damage.)

For a 500 DPS Champ that is ... 2.5 dps more... I think id rather have the heal from the Whirlwind helm or the incoming healing from the dragon scale helm. Too bad it doesn't actually mean your dev magnitude would be 25% higher than it is. then it would be 25%*10% = 2.5% more DPS. That would be worth it.

Arthar is from DN btw, and I think Avanham might be as well.

    Oh, there you go...

I am also looking at the Malledhrim Breastplate. It has -23 common damage 75% of the time.. I think that is going to be even better than the Dragon scale BP.. plus it saves me superior marks.

the obvious problem with the hele and west tower set is the loss in agi, has anyone experimented with buying all the agility tomes and then using the 2 +70 agi braclets from WP HM or HoC?

Maybe my memory is playing with me but bracelet in WP HM look like the sergeant at arms armlet and only got 44 agility. Now if my memory isnt playing with me theres one in BG with 70 agility and 20 fate and the one in HoC got 65 agility and XXX , so basically taking a hit of about 40 might/vitality and over 400 morale
Too lazy to figure why my signature stop working

I (and I assume most champs) am hitting the ceiling on Might, so neither set really offers anything. The bonus for the Berserker and Vile Maw sets is much more useful due to this.

    first of all
    WELL DONE
    very very helpful

I'm currently moving on to end game lvls (currently 61) and leaning towards the 5 Deathstorm/Dragon boots configuration for general use and MOM mix as a specialized secondary...
But i am not familiar with the combat situation on that lvls.
    So are they valid choices?
The Lady's power set acid and lighting def boost is it any good or needed for specific runs? otherwise the set scores average and i would rather avoid any time expenditure to acquire it.

    Hey i recognize this thread!

If you can get the 5 deathstorm set, it is probably the best. You get the nice 5 piece bonus (pips on bladewall crits) and a lot of melee offence which is hard to build for. I am at 3 pieces now and looking forward to getting the last two... someday.

is this that hard to get that setting?
i was thinking to get the MoM mix as a steping stone to get the 5 Deathstorm/Dragon boots configuration... that is easyer at my current lvl

    Re: Updated Champion Armor Spreadsheet

The Deathstorm set is the BG set, yes? If it is, I wouldn't say it's easy to get...

Just given the little stat-crunching I've done, honestly, the Deathstorm set doesn't impress me. The melee offense bonus is marginal (equal to about a crafted LI relic), and you don't get the +Incoming Healing bonus a 2/4 Berserker/DS set gives you. Across the board, the only place the Deathstorm set beats the hybrid Berserker/DS set is in vitality (204 vs 179); in all other categories, the hybrid set is either very closely equivalent, or better. Plus, you get better overall set bonuses (20 Vit, 20 Agi, 23 Might, 2174 IH, -7% AoE Power Cost).

I may be completely off, but when taking into account raw stats and set bonuses, I just can't see how a 2/4 Berserker/DS, or a 2/4 DS/Blademaster set can be beaten. Both give relatively decent stat bonuses, while one gives a large margin of +IH, and the other gives some +IH and acid defense. A relatively small bump to melee offense, and some shadow/fire defense, as well as generally equal stats and radiance going away, just doesn't make the Deathstorm set look too impressive (especially given the disparity in difficulty in getting the Deathstorm set, vs Berserker, Blademaster, and Dragon-Scale). One pip per Blade-Wall crit? Meh.

Have you tried it? Because it's a little more than meh. I thought it was a dumb set bonus when I first saw it, then I got it, and my gawd... The BG set is hands down the best set champs have ever been offered in this game. I would easily give up some stats here and there to have it because the increase you get to your dps is far beyond a few stat points here and there.

I personally prefer 5 deathstorm + Arthar (DN dev magnitude helm). But that's just being picky - the key is having 5 deathstorm.
