    Followers of the Golden Sword

Followers of the Golden Sword (Rank 7 Kinship) are looking for a few good members. If you are interested in playing with a kinship that is a casual family style, where we value fun and friendship more than loot (and boy do we love loot), than look us up in game. We are constantly building up the kinship, and forming alliance with other kinships. We welcome couples (my wife and I play), men, women, dwarves (but you are required to bathe), hobbits, elves, and even wardens. We understand about real life, and when you have to go or have to afk for a bit to take care of something no one will mind (but we still might complete the quest and bring back a few nasties to you... hehehehe).

To join our guild we have a few basic requirements:

    1. Be over 18, over 21 preferred.
    2. Be willing to buy, most content in game. (Its ok if you can't do this right away.)
    3. Be more interested in fun, than being "uber".

To be eligible to join Fellowship of the Golden Sword you must either interview with one of the officers or spend time questing with 1 or more officers of the following officers: Aninchour, Lasshel, Ecsmyth, or Arianeil. This is an officer run guild, as the guild leader I am simply the last sucker left holding the ring when everyone else snuck out of the party.... those evil hobbittses!! I will make them pay... some day.... some how.

We do have a kinship house, voice chat and a kin website: http://goldensword.guildportal.com

Re: Followers of the Golden Sword

They don't have to have it all at first, I know several of our current members are strapped for cash and can't afford to pay for the quest content yet. There are also several quests that give some great rewards in the various p2p zones, and it also helps with deeds and such if you have acces to alot of the game content, while your leveling. I'm not one of those die-hard people thats going to demand before you join us that you have all of the content (just the willingness to eventually get it), but I am one of those guys who wants the kinship to eventually play together. So that means eventually (over a long time) there are going to be kinmates that will want to go exploring various different area, and its ALOT more fun if you can bring some friends along with you.

Yes precious....we will make that nasty, theiving hobbittses pay.......

On a serious note: As one of the "Strapped for cash" members, it is nice to have a group to be able to help out completing somethings. Have basically been escorted through a couple areas that would have stomped me on my own, allowing me to level up nicely.

55 Rune keeper here (Einarr). Looks like we might be a good match - see my recent thread for more about me. Only issue, I guess, is what you guys consider "fun." I expect I'll be wanting to run a lot of instances at 65, and, while not aiming to be "uber," I want to play with people who care about mastering their class. Also, how many of you guys are on latish (after 8:30 pm MST)?

I'd be happy to run something with you guys to check each other out - probably an instance, if that works for you guys.

Oh, my wife doesn't play - my daughter would like to, but she's just 9 and dad says no.

Re: Followers of the Golden Sword

Hey, saw this post and tried sending tells, but I must be missing you folks. By your description, I'm definitely interested. I've only been playing lotro for about two weeks, but I've played City of Heroes, Guild Wars, EVE (briefly) and yes, the-game-that-shall-not-be-named. My available times are sporadic, esp since I'm taking graduate classes on top of a full time job.

That said, my only real concern is available times. I'm generally on weekday evenings and am based in the Eastern Time Zone. If possible, I'd like to schedule a full fellowship run, maybe of GB, though admittedly as of this writing I haven't run an instance in this game yet. If that doesn't work, questing/interviewing will be fine. I'll keep sending those in game tells and hopefully I'll connect with one of you soon.

Hello, I am looking to jump servers, give myself a fresh start and I would like to know if a lowbie character would be an issue

Nope it sure wouldn't most of us have a lowbie or two, and we can always use people that have played before to help train the new recuits. =)

Your kinship sounds like the type of kinship I like. I am currently on Vilya server and have played LOTRO since the original beta. I currently have a level 10 or 11 minstrel and a level 13 hunter on this server. I am over 20 yrs old. My current server is on the decline for lvl 65 kinships. I will attempt to contact one of the names listed on this post tonight. I will be on Juliea, minstrel. My main is always a mini.

I like this a lot. I like that you all wanna have fun more than train and stuff. I also like that you all were out for thanksgiving. It sounds really nice; i would love to join. I actively play this game once or twice a week(because of school) and i have a level 6 hunter. I've played the beta, and loved it and i wasn't able to get this game downloaded until a short time ago. So i'll be actively gaining levels so you have nothing to worry about. I'd be glad to join

I would like to join too. My old kin recently was deleted somehow. Well, now I'm looking for another great kin to join.
And the Followers of the Golden Sword kin looks awesome.

I'm a Hunter (Level 30) and are interested in RP, questing, skirmishes, community and socializing. I gonna purchase
Moria soon when my level is high enough. I also will get 3 months membership in January.

I play nearly daily from 11am to 6pm (NY time) - I'm from germany and 26 years old. I would be glad to hear from
you either here or in-game (Jan).

Oh, and are you going to get a Kinship house someday - i'm in. I'd just bought a single house and also would be glad
to add my part to the kinship bank with around 50 to 100 silver a week and a single payment of one gold.

regards and hope to see you soon

    4. Be able to speak/read English - Doesn't have to be native language, but you must be able to understand and communicate in it.

Ha, well remember here on this one. That there are certain servers you choose from, 3 I believe: American servers Asia Servers and Europe servers. Europeans do play on American servers, But I guarentee those who play on the American servers understand the Concept of the English words. Otherwise they would have to choose another Server and set it to its language. I do not believe you can do that on the American servers you see?
    But yeah hehe

This "core" group I mentioned is all around lvl 60, with alts in the 20's with some of our newer members.
