A MUCH-improved version of the previous website (which itself was in better condition than the lotro forums). If you haven't already made an account here, make sure to stop by and do exactly that! I already have a bunch of posts here myself, so if you want to view the new and improved version of Berethron's story, just go to mymiddle-earth!
Berethron, thank you for reminding me of mymiddle-earth! I had taken a look there a while back but only a brief one. Until the Overlords see fit to release custody of my journal back to me, I may have to continue my writing there.
Hopefully, I will be inspired to write something new soon, and I look forward to catching up with everyone's writing
Ouch ...Well … taking a break from english writing and comments.
I have been told that i could not be sincere in loving all and everyhing. That it was tiring to see me *smiling stupidely to everyone spamming: i love*.
That my style was redundant, childish, repetitive and linear, full of stereotypes.
It was a relaxed style, sometimes even neglected, not honoring the English langage.
So, i will just take a little break. I accept the critics. Hard to swallow but i will work to change a part of that and refrain to tell everyone that i love what they do.
See you all in some times. (i will though continue to read everything)

It was not stupid, it was nice, bright and friendly.
Very sorry to hear this, hopefully the break will not be to long.
There is a mistaken belief that there wasn't a Woman in the Fellowship. It is just that when she got to Rivendell. "You want to climb over the Misty Mountains - You want to go down through Moria - Are you all mad." So she moved in with the Elves instead.

-sighs- your comments were heartfelt and, even though English is not your native tongue, you do very well with it. I would say ignore the critics.. yes, it is possible to like (or love) a lot of things. I honestly wouldn't change a single thing you do... you are who you are. I know I will miss your comments... they bring me a smile anytime I read them

I don't think so, personally. Your writing was very poetic to me, and influenced a little bit of my own style. For some, you reached out offer them help to salvage what they wrote and not just leave it behind.
If no one smiled at all, this would be a dreary world indeed.
Ah that explains everything. I tried to put up one of my rare blog posts and kept having problems. And the feed showed blogs from two days ago. Please fix this Turbine!

It show 31 Bloggers actually, some from MyLotro, some from other sites but still about Lotro.
Most of them are friends if not all, so the list may not be accurate for all but it could help you to know what is new from the ones used to post on this thread at least.
Sorry this is not say that I have posted something, after yet another break from doing so, but the opposite. The recent bugs on this site have really not helped to encourage me to sit down and write for my Journal. No wonder I think this is not worth the bother, let's do something else instead, such as play the Game or another one.
So I will have to say that MYLOTRO Journal has finished without an ending and it is not because I am short of ideas, I in fact have two different ideas for how to restart the Journal storyline.
No I shall either look into moving it over to mymiddle-earth or simple let the whole thing end where it is, I could very easily be doing or writing something else, if this Journal prove to be a waste of time.
Will look into mymiddle-earth sometime over the next few days, although I am going away for the weekend shortly, so restarting my Journal after that may be the right time.

Hope you have a great weekend and are able to clear your mind. I do hope you continue writing your blog, even if it means moving it.
At least if I have an issue with mymiddle-earth, I get feedback on the issue very soon after I post it, which to me means they are listening and do care.
I refuse to have a battle of wits with an un-armed person...
we are going to start working on a LOTRO blogging platform starting today hopefully. Not certain how long it will be before we make it available, but it should be days not weeks. Tom has some brilliant ideas, and knowing that so many here are from the old MyLotRO days, we’ll try and make it something you’ll all be happy with (including myself). Thinking of calling it ’LOTRO Portal’, but perhaps we can get some names/feedback from the community to see what they would want their new home to be called
Being one of the last two MyLOTRO users, from my count, I feel really saddened that I apparently must move elsewhere for anyone to see my work. I suppose I can, with the low amount of posts I do now (RL stuff and original fiction takes my time. I don't have the time to double-post, like I did at MLU)... but still, it feels wrong. Whats the point then for them to fix it when no one will use it?
And anyway, I have no idea whats going on on the new mymiddlearth. Should I wait for whatever this LOTRO Portal thing is (and where would I find it), or write on blog there that isn't supported (if there is one), where to look for it, and in general how the entire thing works...
I'm still here Trav (was I the one you were counting?), because I want my own page rather than throwing my chapters out into a giant mass of everyone else's posts. I use my MyLOTRO page for storage and custom organization of my work, which My Middle-earth can't do at this time (although WordPress can, and I'm seriously considering returning to that option given how little Turbine cares about this site). For people whose posts are standalone stories or articles, My Middle-earth is absolutely the best option at this time, but not so much for those of us who are writing pieces that require previous knowledge of the ongoing plot.
That said, my dream is that My Middle-Earth starts hosting individual blogs, so we can all see everyone's work on the general blogroll but can also visit a page that shows the whole body of work of that writer, with good customization options. Seeing how responsive and competent the My Middle-Earth folks have been to date, I have no doubt that someday we'll get there.
But I totally share your sadness at the loss of the fantastic community we used to have. I noticed that the thread about the blog feed being broken has only 3 contributors. Everyone else has apparently already given up and moved on. When I think of how vibrant and active the blogging community was this time last year, it makes me incredibly depressed.

My advice is that you can just for now register there and see what it is. i would describe it as the meeting central point of writers, painters, musicians, readers, Podcast, and Lotro bloggers, fairy tales, Tolkien fans, and creators
I understand you feeling about us leaving mylotro but this is actually tiring to try to find out who wrote something, who did some new event with all the broken stuff never repaired.
I am one of those who loved MyLotro heartfully, but today this is just a broken tool. You, me are some of the lucky ones whose blogs are not broken but i know so much people around who can not write since months, or lost they envy to do so because of this.
MyMiddle-Earth will offer them what Lotro can not do. And if MyLotro (Turbine) would have shown just a little respect for them, we probably never had thought to leave. I will always be thankfull to Turbine for their idea of this blog but they let us down, not once but mutiple times, and more they just ignored us for MyLotro (notice please i dont speak of anything else).
Since several months i am following you not because of MyLotro, but Google Reader. And i did this for a lot of people, adding regularly members to my google bundle (31 writers now). To find new bloggers, i was checking each of of your profiles, clicking on your friends and checking who was writing, painting or more.
But beleive me this is really hard to continue. I love reading as much as i love writing, and if to do so i have to read them elsewhere i will do it.
I truly hope you will at least visit MyMiddle-Earth, i know you would sincerely enjoy their projects and would probably be a part of it. Your talent is something you should not waste when no one can read it beside the few of us.
I am so sad that Feonnah, Maeni, Kaleigh Starshine and a lot more have totally been spoiled of their texts and still are in the waiting process for one simple and true answer.

Actually M-Me is working on a platforum for Lotro Bloggers, which would be separate from the actual blogs. If i understood well it is inspired from MyLotro but different and offering more tools.
As for MyLotro, i am still there too, even if i can notice the lack of interest, nor you (17June) or Trav (August20), and more have even read or comments what i did. There is nothing like feeling alone when you write, and i must admit i enjoy receiving some love be it on M-Me.
I can understand i am not your kind of reading but well, sometimes just a rating is also appreciated

It's more than a 'place' to post ones writings... it's the way you can incorporate 'you' into your blog site. I can see Whart's perspective on things... and yes, they have the different places that you can put your writing in (if you do remember to check them lol), but, while I notice a very deep sense of community there, outside of what someone writes, there isn't much by way of individualism... I don't know if I'm saying it right or what I'm saying makes sense, but there isn't a way (currently) for anyone to really change things around the way they like it, to personalize their space (hell, I'm still learning there lol)... maybe they are working on it or someone has suggested it. Even putting posts in their respective places, it's easy for posts to get buried there. Even on MME, I don't get the sense that anyone outside of you is even reading my posts... it won't stop me from writing the story and posting in both places, but it's sad... an area where it's easy to feel like the community isn't cared for, but there are tools that can be used (until those get somehow broken...) and an area that cares about the community, but is still relatively young. There are a lot of writers/artists/etc. that I miss because they no longer post here.

Well that could explain a lot, because I've definitely been reading and rating lots of blog posts, including yours, over the past few months and also wondering why I'm not getting very many ratings, especially from people who had been regular readers for a long time. Looks like we've found something else broken with the site.
I'm really looking forward to seeing individual blog pages on M-ME!
Same with me... I have read and at least rated as much as I can when I can to whoever I can, and I DO enjoy your writing Marg , so that would be another minor glitch I guess with the system... it definitely explains it for the people who do interact regularly here from this thread (I think I am able to see only one person's ratings [my deep thanks, Marg], and know of one additional person who doesn't rate [if Fleez ever sees this, thanks to him as well]).

Well the site may be more broken than we think because since your last rate or comment
For Trav, i wrote 5 more texts
For Whart i wrote 9 more texts
and on those i had no comments or tags from both of you.
And if i had not both of you on my Google+ bundle, i would have missed a lot too.
So even is leaving MyLotro is hard and sad for all of us, i enjoy to much reading your texts to continue to battle with MyLotro and i sincerley hope you will make the move. Even if right now M-Me is not perfect, they are really willing to offer us a great tool and they even are asking us to participate in the process by expressing our needs.
There's a lot I would say, but, unfortunately, not really anything good as this seems to be getting worse and worse. I know Marguerita posts on MME, as well I really enjoy the blogs by her, Trav and Whart, too... I will still post the links of my blogs here, so friends will have something to read... and to still read any posts by those still here

Would like to check somewhere else out to post my writing and stuff, but would prefer somewhere I can post pictures and where people can go back to look at previous chapters, because when I get back to writing, I would like to start an ongoing storyline again.
Although I may also look for a place I can write on more than one subject as well, my Dungeons and Dragons Online Journal has restarted and I am enjoying playing and writing about that at the moment, whereas I have to admit to running my alts or looking at the scenery on LOTRO. It does stop me getting to far ahead of myself - if I continue to follow the Epic Quest and my previous storyline on here.
Oh and I do regularly click on the name on my Friends-list to see if they have written anything and twice daily visit these Forums and follow any links listed on this thread. Hopefully always rate - sorry if I rarely comment.

I know that I sent a note through the mail here to Marguerita that she did not receive for nearly two weeks, and that I have rated and commented on some journal entries in the past few months, so even those things might be an issue now. I feel very badly for not doing so more often, and I apologize for that. The hurt I feel when I even consider coming to this place is such that I do so very little these days, but I will try to do better
I had written much more, including a challenge for the Overlords, but all my writing was lost due to be logged out while I was composing it, so I am sorry for my brevity. Just know that I am still a fan of all your writing
