Re: MyLotro New Posts
Sorry for the delay, but I've finally written something (well the first half anyway), real life and the strong urge to be in-game (whether this one or the other one) kept getting in the way.
So now over on My Middle Earth as Northern Tourist:
http://northerntourist.mymiddle-eart...8/hello-world/
Will try to write the second half in next couple days. There is a mistaken belief that there wasn't a Woman in the Fellowship. It is just that when she got to Rivendell. "You want to climb over the Misty Mountains - You want to go down through Moria - Are you all mad." So she moved in with the Elves instead.

Re: MyLotro New Posts
There's another thread up about it already, but in case y'all missed it, the "recent blog posts" widget is functioning once more. I tested it myself.
A good sign, perhaps?

Ok, I must respond if Turbine is willing to make a fix: http://my.lotro.com/user-1027520/
I have posted one chapter in the hopes that this stays functional. We'll test and see. The storyline has been on hold for a lot of real life chaos, but if I pick it up again and Turbine holds up their end of the deal and keeps the feed working then I will continue to post here.Share the journey of Tuiliel and Eluridan at http://my.lotro.com/user-1027520 before the community site blogs disappear

Re: MyLotro New Posts
Just received a postcard from my Hobbit Burglar and posted it over on My Middle Earth:
http://northerntourist.mymiddle-eart...e-you-a-thump/
Also this week started an occasional journal on my own personal adventures in Real Life Middle Earth, which will include, but unlike the other, wont be exclusively about LOTRO over there as well:
http://fitc.mymiddle-earth.net/2012/...hat-be-worlds/
With this journal I shall be using the F.I.T.C. name.

Re: MyLotro New Posts
I'll have to catch up on some reading when I can find the time. While it's been chaotic, I've still found some time to write... the story continues with A Sudden Realization and The Past Collides With The Present. Enjoy!

Have added a postcard over on My Middle Earth about what can happen when you have a drink:

Seeing as how this thread hasn't been touched since the end of May, is it safe to say this is dead, too? Well, if there are any readers left (no, this isn't a gripe, it's just seeing what is left from unanswered questions that were asked, multiple times), Separated continues where the story had left off.

I guess i am a little lost between different places. Thank you for posting again.

I tried MME, but too many changes and the spam left me shaking my head. It may be fine for others, but it didn't work well for me... I pretty much just use it as a backup for my posts.
Anyways, as long as you are still writing and are happy doing it (even if it's not wrinting... do what makes you happy
) that is all that can be asked. I hope that the health issues have taken a back seat and you can enjoy life to the fullest!

I'm still around, just not as active in LOTRO as I have been. Played Diablo III on three characters before tiring of it, now getting ready for Guild Wars 2. However, haven't given up on LOTRO completely, or blogging.
But most of my writing these days is my own stuff, not related to any game. It's time I got serious on that front again.
Good to see you all are well!

I will, as soon as I know myself. As you know everything is wiped for this beta, and my guildmate and I are waiting to see where we will land next.

Hello, folks!
A while ago I came back, couldn't find this thread (search function is borked for me), and thought it was lost or deleted. Now I can bookmark this thread again, yay!
I tried coming back to blog late last month, despite my instinct subtlety telling me it was no good. I eagerly wanted to start up an art-share blog with tutorials and updates on my LoTRO Fan Art.
Alas, it took me many tries just to get just one test image posted in my gallery and when it did upload, it wouldn't even let me set the image or others into a blog post. So that idea was thrown out the window. Blah!
For now I'm using my old dA account with a special folder dedicated just to Tolkien. There's not much there as I'm starting fresh (I dislike uploading old art, even if I love it) but it will be a variety of mediums (sculpture, diorama, knitting, illustration, etc) so I'm hoping people will find it enjoyable.
Also, I have my signature set up so it will link to the Fan Art Wiki (artists, come post there!), the Laurelin Art thread (only server one I've seen so far), and my dA.
That said, though I'm not posting my own blogs, I'm still roaming about and giving new and old bloggers alike a friendly hello.
Take care, all!Uninstalled this expac. Be back later?

I'm still using MyLotro for blogging and this still seems like the best way to advertise new posts, even though the new posts widget on MyLotro is working.
Leafelyn, my burglar, has started her soloing adventures and I have a blog about that. I should have a new video and blog this weekend.
Update: Leafelyn soloed Commnader Tarsh, the final boss in the School of Tham Mirdain. The video is here. There is a blog about it here. So far I haven't gotten any feedback from the first blog but, the video is pretty good, I hope you check that out.Last edited by Tovarashh; Feb 03 2013 at 08:16 AM.

Despite the lack of use, of this thread and my blog, Hi
Oh dear this thread seems to be suffering from a severe lack of use and there was me coming to apologize for my severe lack of writing about LOTRO, but anyway.
Some apologies, first sorry for taking a very long break from writing about this game, second sorry for not announcing my return to writing about such, thirdly I avoid gaming forums like the plague, especially ones for games I enjoy playing, so I only just thought about posting something here and fourthly sorry but I've not been keeping up with anyone else's writing and have only been reading stuff I've come across by chance (such as by the latest blog posts widget).
So I have chosen to return to doing so on the MyLOTRO site and since returning have posted four posts (admittedly the first was actually over a couple of months ago), these been:
A two part look at the free-to-play skirmishes:
http://my.lotro.com/user-1145984/201...e-of-gondamon/
http://my.lotro.com/user-1145984/201...n-tuckborough/
And just this week (including part two today) a two part look at the commonly encountered Dragon-Kind of Western/Northern Middle Earth in LOTRO:
http://my.lotro.com/user-1145984/201.../drake-slayer/
http://my.lotro.com/user-1145984/201...8/worm-carver/
So if anyone regularly check this thread anymore, I'll try to remember to post links here for anything I write in regard to LOTRO in future.
PS: Keep having to remember to not put a # in front of LOTRO, because it is one of my main topics (but not the only one) I discuss on Twitter. There is a mistaken belief that there wasn't a Woman in the Fellowship. It is just that when she got to Rivendell. "You want to climb over the Misty Mountains - You want to go down through Moria - Are you all mad." So she moved in with the Elves instead.

Welcome back, f.i.t.c.! Sadly, I am afraid what you have observed is the truth. With the state of the blogging platform currently, most of the community has moved on, and those who are left are isolated from one another, as there is no easy way to see when friends have written something new, nor even to see who is writing at all, without perusing each new post one by one. At least we got them to finally fix the blog feed, right?

Amazingly, I happened on http://my.ddo.com/ yesterday. I think you started after our platform here was changed, but seeing this rent my heart. This is exactly what we had in the olden days: A prominent place to feature some exceptional writers that were an example to all (which is how I was first inspired), and an easy way to see when someone has written something new, and who the author was!
Why our home was destroyed but this one left in good standing I am not sure we will ever know. We were a growing, thriving community of such excellence and camaraderie before. Now, we are scattered, divided, leaderless... well, you get the idea
It is an unequivocal fact that the change to our platform brought about the destruction of our community here: wholly, solely, and completely. We can only hope a lesson was learned so that others will think twice before acting in such a way again.
I write far less often than before, but I have a new home you can find in my signature. Some new things I post to my journal here as well (also in my signature), but some I do not bother to do that with.
But, please, keep writing! I will try to read your stories soon
Kaleigh
