Re: MyLotro New Posts
Writers from the Winter Blogmoot have started up a new project: A collaborative story in which our characters will seek to rescue our kidnapped hostess Telwen and perhaps some other missing bloggers, too. :-) The first chapter is up on my blog now:
http://my.lotro.com/user-560856/2010/12/28/traces/
And several other chapters have been written by the other writers in the project and will be posted to their blogs in the next few days. I've also set up a Table of Contents page to keep track of them all.
We welcome other bloggers to join in the project if you like - info in my above post!Last edited by RannaDylin; Dec 28 2010 at 08:56 PM.

Re: MyLotro New Posts
I'm having all kinds of trouble creating a new forum thread for this (they really are making it almost impossible to use these forums), so for now I've posted on my blog page an exciting new feature: the Featured Blogger Series! http://my.lotro.com/user-1027520/201...barad-gularan/
Once the forums stop crashing every 2 seconds I will post an excerpt as a new thread to hopefully get more visibility. If you'd like to nominate someone for a feature, suggest here, or send me a message or in-game mail. Enjoy!Share the journey of Tuiliel and Eluridan at http://my.lotro.com/user-1027520 before the community site blogs disappear

Re: MyLotro New Posts
Great post, Whart, here's hoping the powers that be at Turbine read that!

I'm glad to see the blogging community re-awakening as this new year dawns; let's hope that's a portent of things to come. I have finally finished the second half of Miss Ghraye's adventure in Bree (and as it turns out, she's going to have to have a third before she moves on). You can read it HERE.
Happy New Year, all!

Re: MyLotro New Posts
Aiya Bloggers!
I've finished another piece for the Fall of Gondolin series, on the House of the Fountain. I had serious blocks about writing this one as the protagonist dies. I struggled with a number of ways to do the point of view. I settled for the simplest, and I hope it came out well. I would love any critical feedback you can give me.
Here it is: The Power of Water: Ecthelion's Triumph
It was very frustrating trying to post this. I had to let the thing swirl at me for a long time. Lately, I've taken to opening other tabs and doing all sorts of things while I wait for mylotro to respond. I will try to get this one up at mlu also. It may be time for me to make a blog outside this venue.

Re: MyLotro New Posts
Well, I can't remember publishing two posts within 24 hours of one another, maybe rainy holiday weekends are good for my creativity.

I have a short writeup of the Finer Things in Life weekly gathering on Windfola that I'd like to share with you all. Cithryth has worked hard to establish this gathering and I could tell last night that its popularity is growing steadily.
Post is HERE.
Also, those of you still having trouble with MyLOTRO...what browser are you using? Chrome seems to be working well with it for me.

After reading Whart's posts, i wish english would be my native langage but well ... it is not.
I already posted http://my.lotro.com/user-1018160/201...enel-o-elei-2/ this but that will be the last one. My childish babling english need to be cut right there.
Guess it is the time again for me to write as i was doing before in my native langage, French.

Re: MyLotro New Posts
Done! The Mirkwood adventures are finished and posted: http://my.lotro.com/user-1027520/cat...liels-journey/
Screenshots to follow soon, probably this weekend.
I am so relieved to be able to tie up this storyline--it has been nagging at my brain for months. Next stop for the brave Galladhrim warriors: Lothlorien!
And secondly, don't give up Marguerita! These days, there are not many active readers of MyLotro, so you will not get many ratings or comments. That is not because people do not like your writing; it is because Turbine makes it so difficult for people to find your writing. But if you post in French I'll still try my best to read it, if I can remember my college French lessons!Share the journey of Tuiliel and Eluridan at http://my.lotro.com/user-1027520 before the community site blogs disappear

Re: MyLotro New Posts
You are nice with me - Thank you
My head is full of "english writing" but unfortunatly my vocabulary is far from beeing efficient and enough to serve what i would like to write actually. And as a writer i feel that is a pity to give to people a so poor thing.
To write is something, when you can do it with some art. I know i can do that in French but i have to admit that my english is miserable.
Though i am proud of what i did until now as i never used a dictionnary (not even an internet one) and had to work very hard. But going further would lead to a total disaster hahaha
Also i would not have posted anything in French on my Lotro. I am used to write french novels and in fact that was what i meant.
And now on my way to read yours !!!

Re: MyLotro New Posts
I've decided to post my Misadventures of Etaoin and Ingolemo stories in a thread on the Landroval forum. Here: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...n-and-Ingolemo Currently getting all the old ones up then I'll start on some new material. The series will be following our adventures in the Epic Book quests and we're going to amuse ourselves by making fun of them viciously.

I've decided not to write my Becoming story anymore. I never got very far with it anyway, but I have a good reason for stopping. I'm currently working on some original worldbuilding and story writing and I've decided to use the basic idea I was exploring in Becoming in an original story set in my own fantasy world. I think it will will fit in well there and provide me with an additional novel if I ever get the first one finished. (Check out my personal blog linked below about my journey to become an author.)
In the future, possibly if I can actually discipline myself to write my own novel and still find time for other writing, I might start up a new fanfiction about Feanor I had an idea for a long while back. I'll most likely post that on my personal blog as well though.
Happy writing, all!

Re: MyLotro New Posts
Not a new entry, but over the weekend, I added screenshots and a table of contents for Tuiliel's story to assist with the navigation, and I did a great deal of editing of older posts to make everything consistent with the direction of the entire storyline. So I'd love for you to check out the whole thing: http://my.lotro.com/user-1027520/cat...liels-journey/

Fantastic post Travisimo! I think that you, Tanith, and I may be the only ones left of our once great blogging community, but I still want to read more, so don't stop posting!
BTW I am struggling with the next phase of Tuiliel's journey, trying to figure out where I'm sending her next, so it may be a while before I post a new chapter. Too many choices!
But I'll let you know when I figure it out.
