So, I noticed it said that the url links for the avatars have been broken. However, I noticed that the new avatar pictures are the "My.lotro" avatar pictures.
Well, my avatar on the forums was a custom one that I won during some fashion contest? Ive kept it on there knowing that if I changed it, I would lose it. Now with the site change, that Avatar Icon no longer works.
Did I lose my custom avatar/Icon? Or are those custom ones being worked on when you all say "links will be fixed" on your guys end?

I'm having issues with the white "false" box showing up on every menu I mouse over on the community page. I also am getting the red "X" box instead of a graphic for all of the "First post" and "Last post" graphics in the dev tracker. In addition, I am unable to see most people's signatures that include the character signature (again, just a red "X" box instead of the picture). The red "X" box is showing up for quite a number of graphics.
I'm using IE8... I've tried using compatibility mode, but that actually cures only a couple problems while creating the same number of new ones, on top of the fact that the site moves at a snail's pace in that mode (especially trying to scroll up and down).
Couple of issues to add to the list First, the forums aren't displaying the unread posts properly. The main page shows a forum group with unread posts, but when I go into the forum group there are no unread posts shown (based on the icons). This is after I first log into the forums. For many forum groups I mark all posts read to clear the unread posts flag on the main page so I can see new posts when I refresh the forum page. So I can't tell what posts I haven't read, since many are showing as read even though I haven't.
The second thing is that the icon for "Hot thread with unread posts" and "Hot thread with no unread posts" appear to be the same. The icon for unread posts should be an open scroll.

It seems that this problem is getting fixed for some members, but not all. I just logged out and back in and am still locked out of everything but the FTP discussions
Same hee, Im still locked out as well. I saw that post and tried to relog did not fix it, then tried my old forum log in, and it stil don't like it either.
In the very first post in this thread, the Known Issues, it's stated that those with multiple subscriptions on one account may not be able to post on the "correct" account and we're working on a fix. I also posted it here. I know it's frustrating, but please sit tight while we get the fix together - it will likely be Monday or Tuesday, as QA will need to test it before we implement it!
Yeah, except there are a lot of us with this problem who don't have multiple subs, or at least don't think we do. Does this apply to anyone who was in the beta? I was in the open beta, but I don't recall having to change my user name or anything like that when the game went live. Is the issue with not being able to post to most of the forums also tied to the issue of my characters on my.lotro being stuck at in time at Sept. 4? My activity log hasn't updated since then, and I've since deleted and recreated a character, and the old one still shows there.

I'm still broken and have not received a response to my account support ticket. On a positive note the overall speed and consistency with the site seems much improved today
Not sure if others are having this problem, but none of my characters are listed at all. When I go to My Preferences/My Character Settings, I'm told that I don't have any characters.
That's going to come as news to the toons I'm playing.
I don't know if this is a bug, or if it's intended, but I can't find the PvP leaderboards anywhere. Are they being discontinued or revamped?
(Thanks for all the hard work getting everything back to normal! I'm sure it was a very loooooong weekend. The periodic updates on what's working/broken/getting-worked-on are VERY much appreciated.)
For some reason, if someone leaves positive reputation for a post, it will say, "Your reputation on this post is Extremely Positive". but state that:
"Comments on this Post
Negative Reputation Given
Negative Reputation Given
Negative Reputation Given"
I think it's done this for at least 3 of my posts. People leave positive reputation, but it shows up in the comments as negative reputation. Not a huge deal, but bound to confuse some people.
I dont know if this has been covered, but none of my new toons from Riddermark server are showing up under the My Characters tab. They are not showing up on the profile page for sigs eather. Also, my sig still isnt working right.
Afer this new change sites merged into portal and what not I can't post in some forums. Some are available to me while others say that my account require active subscription. I was loggin in before this whole change with my forum name Dwarven-Might and everything was fine, now I log in with my game account name and I can't post in some forums. I can't even post in Kinships forum to give any updates to my kinship thread. Help!

Well, it appears this is the only place I can post at, lifetime VIP here. I did have a name change in game about 2 years ago if that affects anything, other then that, nothing has changed for me. Wondering how things are going and also wonders why Turbine made these forums live at the same time as releasing F2P. Seems like a lot to try to cope with for them even if different people are working on different things.

Yes, that is most likely it. We are working on a fix for this. If worst comes to worst we will fix you manually, so please sit tight while we figure out what the final solution is.
Please.... Not that!!
Anything but that!!

BTW Patience.. If you fix my account by hand can you change my Forum name to Haakon_Stormbrow (with two A's) since that NPC stole my name at the end of closed beta I had to pick a new name in game...
Yep, that's it!!! I was in beta in 2007, I'm a founder and lifetimer as well. I distinctly remember we had to create a new name/account when the game launched in Apr 2007. I picked RC_Hammer; in beta I was C31ebrimbor. We were offered an option to revert back to our beta name/account and I took that option way back then. I've been C31ebrimbor on the forums ever since - all my characters are connected to C31ebrimbor.
With this forum update, that little switcheroo got lost. I don't have access to my characters, the system thinks I do not have an active subscription, I have only F2P access to the boards, no post count, etc. No problems ingame, thankfully, but haven't tried to file any bug reports yet - could be a problem if the system think I don't have an active subscription, we'll see.
Patience - This is truly good news. I'm hoping I can become whole once again. Bless you!
This sounds like my situation --- my lifetime founder account cannot post, and yes I was a pre-beta player coming from a DDO account ... and has the "wrong" toon name.
I have been "Valamar" now since the game went live, but was "Vallamar" before -- and the "double-l" name is the one that gets picked when I sign in to the forums now... consequently, I have no toons showing in "My LOTRO".
This is being posted from a second lifeteime account I created, originally for my son. This account does associate with the toons correctly.
I just changed my Date and time Options ... the GMT offset is now correct, however, the DST detection is not working. (Automatically detect DST settings)
If you enable the Character Log Widget, it appears on your "My LOTRO" home page as expected.
If you then select filters and apply them, they work as expected -- however, they are not remembered.
If you then go to a page of that Character Log, the Character Log expands to fill the entire page (Where it was only a portion (i.e. a column) of the page before. Ok, not a bad thing as it makes it "viewable."
However, if you now click on "<<" it displays the first page again, but in full width. Also not a terribly bad idea.
Now, however, if you change your filter settings and apply, it takes you back to the "home page."... AND if you change your filter settings again, It goes back to the full width page display, but with the "OLD" filter settings selected at the top of the page. AND, just to continue the confusion... if you click "home" again, you go back to the main page, but with all of the filter choices selected!
So what behavior should be "correct" --
1- Character Log Widget should display on the Home page as a full width item, not "columnerized."
2 - Applied filter selections should be retained on subsequent pages displayed AND retained across "Home" page visits.
I wish i could post in other forums. Well i can in some but in other I can't... And this change is odd because they could have somehow at least sync our old forum names to the log in account names. Now nobody knows noone. Everyone is logging in to forums with game account names, which actually is not very safe. Now everyone's account name is exposed...

When I log in I am given my original beta name, Zboia. We had to create a new name for live, which I chose Boia. Boia is the name I have used for 3+ years. What must I do it fix this. I can not submit a bug since Zboia is not a active account.
I also have another subsciription on this account, meaning there is probably another forum name in the data base. I want Boia associated with my account.

See ya online.
Uploading custom avatar does not work properly. I cannot get the small avatar to work at all despite it showing properly on the preview, and the large avatar looks right but then does not display as it looks after I've uploaded it. Trying to upload a second, different avatar image doesn't work well at all - after I upload a secind image to try to change the first, I still see the first image (now distorted) in the preview - then some botched version of the second once I give up on trying to edit the one I can't see.
I'm still having this issue also, and have not been able to use an uploaded image at all....had to resort to the preselected ones. Is there a fix coming for the uploading issue?

I can once again post on other forums, and my sig is displaying properly now. However, my characters on my.lotro are still stuck at Sept. 4. This isn't in the "Known Issues" list, and I haven't seen mention of it elsewhere, just wanted to make sure that's on the radar. I'm gonna go submit a bug report specific to that issues..
I'm not sure if this is supposed to be fixed by now, but I still cannot post to any but the FTP forums (I'm a VIP - lifetime sub)!
I've submitted two tickets (last week!), no response. PM'ed Patience, no response. Some have had their problem fixed manually, but mine isn't.
Last I read, Patience said the target fix for this problem would be yesterday or today (Mon or Tues). Guess I'll wait till the end of the day and see if it's fixed then...

Not a Lifetime Sub but I am a founder and should be a premium member but this is my F2P beta forum name so I can't do much yet either. I put tickets in every where I was able to also PMed haven't heard anything either.
The patch today that was supposed to possibly fix the improper log-in issue obviously hasn't, and there hasn't yet been a dev word about this very important issue (or at least I would hope it's important)!

I'm assuming I got stuck with this forum name because I had this for my DDO sub before I go into the F2P beta.

While I'm in the same boat in terms of not being able to post, it's not the end of the world.
First off, the update was tentatively scheduled for today, there was no promise of a fix. Plans will and often do change.
As far as I can tell no forums maintenance has occurred today, and I'm pretty sure they would tell us if there was an update to the issue. I'll just bide my time personally.

Why can I post in some areas of this site but not in others? Also the rep link doesnt show up for me. I know its supposed to be in the bottom right hand corner but even mouse over doesnt reveal a link in that location. I really hope they get this stuff corrected soon...
Update: Here's something cute... The rep icon shows up but only on my own posts However since I can't give rep to myself that's kind of meaningless ...

I'm still being flagged as F2P. I am a VIP Founder, with a different forum name than my account name. Is this being fixed today or in upcoming community site updates?
I don't see this on the known issues, but I can't make the color scheme changes stick from any page. I assign the colors and hit the save but as soon as I navigate anywhere else the color scheme goes back to the hideous green.

Try doing the changes from the home page, it worked for me.

I'm in the same boat (founder/lifetime subscription). I was in the friends & family alpha for SoA, and I think my account was renamed during alpha. It's logging me into the original account name, doesn't know anything about any of my characters in mylotro, forum settings and rep are gone, and it won't let me post in most forums. I sent two tickets (one under Account, one under Community Site) last week, but no response. I knew PMing the community team would be fruitless since they must be drowning in those. But I sure would like to be able to post again!
Patience: any new ETA on the fix for the rename issue? I'm trying to be patient, but I'm more addicted to the forums than I am to the game . (I can get into the latter just fine, which is the one good thing).
Here's a couple more, I didn't see them listed in the first post:
*When you enter something in the search bar and select "forums" as the option, the search widens to something like four times its size, causing you to have to scroll sideways to see the "last post" option. Does this in newest version of Firefox.
*On MyLOTRO, when you click 'Friend's List', it only shows 6 friends and even when you enable sorting, you cannot increase the number of friends you see. Again on Firefox, not sure about its state on IE.
Elendilmir (the raid toons): LAERWEN, 80 htr ♦ OLORIEL, 75 min ♦ AETHELIND, 75 capt ♦ ROSALLA, 75 burg Landroval (the RP toons): LAERLIN (Bio + Drawing) ♦ AETHELIND (Bio + Drawing) ♦ NETHAEL
Any ETA on when the problem with multiple forum names might be fixed? I'm stuck with my forum name from the SoA closed beta, instead of the forum name I created once I subscribed to the game afterward. Kind of stinks not being able to post, although I've been far more productive at work as a result.
I submitted a ticket about this last week, although with various launch issues, I realize this could take some time to fix. Just looking to get some more information on whether anything can be done.
