Description
This plugin places all the travels skills in a single window for easy access. There are a few options available for how the skills are displayed, and which skills are actually shown. Also, you can add your map home, and Glad Vraig map.

thanks for posting this. i found it incredibly helpful during beta and it seems you have added some mroe features since i last used it.
I like the travel window but I only want it on my screen when I need to travel... is there a way to, for instance, bind this to a quickslot so I can pop it up only when I need to use it?

What I do is type: /shortcut 1 /trav toggle
This creates a shortcut in the very first quickslot of the main toolbar that I can then move to another quickslot of my choice. Then clicking on that opens and closes the window.

Just figured out how to do that myself: there is a little rep button that looks kind of like a sheriff's badge at the lower left corner of every post. Click that and you should be able to give him rep. So there you have it; feel free to boost Mr. H1cks' rep all you want now! =)

Took me a bit to figure out too. Also, I can't get it to work properly with IE, only Firefox.

I can't wait until Turbine allows us to keep our addons even after signing off.
Thank you! +rep!
im also hoping they will allow user defined key bindings for plugins, like how they introduced user defined chat channels. there would of course have to be limitations to prevent them from being abused, but i think having the ability to bind 4 or 5 plugins to keyboard shortcuts would be perfect, and for some, it not most peopel might be more than enough

I know that will take up 6 (including grams) slots... but that is still 1/3 of the slots then now...
thoughts?
I'll be honest. I have almost no idea what happens in PvMP. I don't have a creep. I am sure something could be done, but it won't likely be me doing it.
After hours of trying to figure it out myself, I've here for help. It's probably something simple that I have overlooked. But here we go.
I installed and unzipped the Travel Window files. My directory looks like this:
My Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins\DhorPlugins.
The last folder, DhorPlugins, contains one file (Travel.plugin) and 3 folders (Extensions, Utils, and Travel) which all have their own various .lua files and folders and such.
I already have the Turbine Utilities files, and according to http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...Lua-UI-scripts, the Turbine Utilities files are supposed to be unzipped to My Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online (which is odd because I would think that it would be put in to the My Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins folder, but whatever) so I unzipped the Turbine Utilities files and put them where it says to put the, so it looks like this: "My Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Beta_LuaPlugins".
From my understanding, "Beta_LuaPlugins" = Turbine Utilities Files. The "Beta_LuaPlugins" folder of course has several folders and files within.
Then, in game, I type:m/plugins refresh
and i receive this message:
The list of available plugins has been refreshed.
Available Plugins:
Travel (3.3)
So far so good. The game recognizes the Travel Window plugin. So I type: /plugins list
and i receive this message:
Available Plugins:
Travel (3.3)
Loaded Plugins:
(None)
Still good. The game lists the plugin and acknowledges that I have not yet loaded any plugins.
THE PROBLEM
I type: /plugins load travel
and i receive this message:
...s Online\Plugins\DhorPlugins\Tra vel\TravelWindow.lua:2: Unable to resolve package "Turbine.Debug".
...Rings Online\Plugins\DhorPlugins\Tra vel/__init__.lua:2: Failed to import package "DhorPlugins.Travel.TravelWind ow".
...the Rings Online\Plugins\DhorPlugins\Tra vel\Main.lua:2: Failed to import package "DhorPlugins.Travel".
Unable to load "travel"
Why is the Travel Window plugin unable to load? Thanks in advance.
Note: When I instead put the folder containing the example plugins from the Turbine Utilites files/Beta_LuaPlugins into the lotro plugins folder (looks like this: "My Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins\Beta_LuaPlugins \Plugins\TurbinePlugins"), and I refresh the plugins list, I receive this message:
Available Plugins:
****Travel (3.3)
****Examples (1.0)
****CombatQuickslots (1.0)
****Vitals (1.0)
****TheOneBag (1.0)
So for some reason, when I follow the directions given at http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...Lua-UI-scripts, and I place the files into the Lord of the Rings Online folder, the game doesn't recognize the plugins, yet when I place them into the Plugins folder (which is not where the above-mentioned link says to put them), the game recognizes them. But again, /plugins load gives a similar error message and thus is 'unable to load' the plugins.
Turns out, I created my own folder called Plugins before I knew about the Turbine Utilities, so I put the plugin into the plugin folder I created instead of the plugin folder that Turbine Utilities created. Like I said, it'd would be some simple mistake.
thanks you for this post and clarifying this is my first dip into the world of plugins I tried using the Mod Manager App earlier today and had a lot of errors so I cleared it all out and going to run these things and install them one by one manually.
I hope to be able to use Palentir, Travel Window, Buff Bar, to start.
Posted version 7.0 today. This version should work with both the current live client, as well as the Bullroarer client with it's updates.
7.0 Changes
Added the new Return Home skill and extra destination skills to the generic skills. (Update 2 changes)
Added a toggle option for hiding the window when you enter combat.
Added a toggle option that will allow the dropdown mode to fire the skill when it is selected.
Added 'Move to top' and 'Move to bottom' buttons for sorting.
a coupel of bugs me and my kinmates have noticed with the latest version:
firstly, changing the sort order was really buggy, skills werent changing order on the grid properly, sometimes not responding at all, and sometimes responding when another skill was moved up or down the order.
secondly, the dropdown list appears to truncate after a certian number of destinations are listed, so not all skills are being displayed.
finally a request. i would like to be able to have the window faded into the back ground. is there any chance that you could add an opacity slider to the options?

The problem here is due to the fact I can't actually determine which skills players may have, so the sorting list includes all the possible skills a player might have. So even if you are not displaying a skill on the grid, it is still included in the sort list and you can move a skill but not affect the main window.
Its not an ideal situation, and I hope to think of a better way to do it.

Yup, that is a bug. I should have an update posted this afternoon.

I've been using your plugin for a long time, but for a while I haven't been able to use it, before and after RoI; I have been updating it whenever I see you with a new patch, but it still doesn't work.
I get this error:
...s Online\Plugins\DhorPlugins\Tra vel\TravelWindow.lua:2: Unable to resolve package "Turbine.Debug"
...Rings Online\Plugins\DhorPlugins\Tra vel\__init__.lua:2: Failed to import package "DhorPlugins.Travel.TravelWind ow".
...the Rings Online\Plugins\DhorPlugins\Tra vel\Main.lua:2: Failed to import package "DhorPlugins.Travel".
What do I need to do to fix this? I'd really like to use your travel window again!

From that message, it looks as though the plugin cannot find the Turbine files that are required to run it. You were running it at one point so you must have had them, but is it possible you moved or deleted them? They should be located at
C:\Users\{username}\Documents\ The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins\Turbine
In that folder will be many .lua files, including Debug.lua
Also, there was an update to those files at one point that broke many plugins. Do you have the latest version?
If you are missing that folder or files, or want to try the latest version, you can download the latest version here.
It works! I didn't have the latest version of the LUA stuff (folder had a different name and everything). For some reason none of my other plugins have ever been broken though O.o
Thank you!

Is the Lua still in beta? Is there new versions of LUA aca "turbin utilities"?
It is guite easy to follow Travel plugins development, but turbin utilities is harder to follow?

Yes, the LUA plugin implementation for LOTRO is still considered to be BETA. The last update to the 'Utility' files that I know of was last November though.
