I have to agree. Give them a Gratz in-game. There are way too many gratz threads. It's spam.

This is a valid discussion.

1) There are too many grats threads, and it would be nice to consolidate and/or remove them.

2) Grats threads are harmless, and it is a nice way for friends to congratulate friends.

3) Who cares, I can ignore the thread if I want to, or post if I want to.

4) What forums? We haz forumz?

Since we can't control what other people post, I think we all have to fall under option 3. I'm not sure much more discussion need apply.

I may have been overboard with my response, but I'm shocked at how many people are so upset at that rather than the REAL issue here, which is how rude the OP's assertion is.

I logged on this morning and like 80% of the threads were grats threads at the time. It seemed excessive. I am sure there is a better way to give your pals a pat on the back without grats spamming the forums. Do they deserve a pat on the back? Sure. Should 80% of the thread content be grats threads? I was saying that I didn't think so. That's all.

Fun is just an easy going guy that was making light of the several grats threads going on. He meant nothing by it, the "petition" was more satire than anything else.

But poor Master-of-Nothing but negativity came along and had to go negative.

Why? I don't care why really, but he blew it up because he has no sense of humor and is pretty much a wet sack of rocks in a shoe.

Fun, nor anyone else that I know of is trying to end "gratz threads". We all have our own measure of accomplishment and for the most part, Landroval pvp'ers have always been respectful of the threads whether they added their own "congrats" to them or not.

So in summary: Funspoiler not trying to spoil the fun. Whatshisface, always spoiling the fun.

Maybe it's time for some psychological therapy to help all of you PvPers with your anger and consistant trend towards sociopathy?

Why do so many of you all get off pissing in each others cherrios?

It's "easy mode" to ruin someones day, but it takes creativity and mindfulness to uplift those already finding joy. Yet, it seems that a lot of pvp players only find pride in being a "fun spoiler" rather than do the hard work and find a way to be a "fun multiplier". I guess thats why I've been rank 5 for about 3 years now.

If you want to spoil the fun for those who are enjoying themselves you are simply being cruel. Most of us learned how to do that by 1st grade. It's nothing to be proud of.

This is a community and most of the posters participate in it in supportive ways.

A lot of people ranked to high ranks this past week. They get threads because it's a nice thing to do. One of the ONLY nice things in the forums.

Now, you might say that an unimportant forum is the perfect place for unimportant congratulatory threads for unimportant accomplishments and to that I would give you a wedgie and steal your lunch money. Everyone seems to think they are the freakin' Queen of Sheba or something, as if everyone and their herald actually care when your computer numbers go up.

I swear, more than grinding and time and better games, the thing that makes me not play MMO's the most is nerds. Filthy, filthy nerds. Grats lol! Grats lol! GRATS LOL! Jeez, people, I know you all can't be lonely shut-ins. Why do you have to make it so hard for me to play video games online?

Also, I hate Luc significantly less than most everyone else who plays this game. That just seems pertinent.

Grats threads have always seemed to me to be a good thing as it allows charaters on both sides to recognize a players accomplishments. There are so few threads now that I see that do not instantly degenerate to a freep/creep mud flinging session I find it amazing that someone would want to stop one of the few things that still ties the community together.

The only questionable one on the first page is Nom's all the rest were rank 9+ and battlemaster. OMG how dare people have fun in the moors and actually accomplish long term goals.

Edit: The post above mine is a perfect example of the the people you can avoid in grats threads. If you want to avoid lame posts you should only read grats threads .
