Greetings current and future Imladris players! The launch of the F2P version of Lord of the Rings Online is at hand, and I can't help but be excited by the prospect of this! The game is actually getting a little shaken up, which hasn't happened in a long while, so, cheers to that!
The purpose of this thread is for those coming to Imladris to introduce themselves and greet the other players!
My name is Irwuel, although it will not be the name I will have when I come to the server, will let y'all know that when the time comes. I'm not currently playing LOTRO, but I am a lifer, so I suppose that's a matter of semantics. The $20 I paid for Siege of Mirkwood was not well spent, and I suppose the idea of Turbine having to earn every penny they make off me will be a pleasant change. So, a little about me? I'm 22 in November. I live in Chicago, IL, the land of Rod Blagojevich and confusing weather. I love MMORPGs as they allow me to enjoy rich fantasy stories with other people. I'm an active comic reader, not so much collector, and I love me a good film! I smoke Marlboro Red cigarettes, and my favorite flower is the chrysanthemum.
Greeting! I'm known by many names, but my most common "Gamer Tag" is Scormus, I've used it for many years in several MMOs. I'm a Lifer in LOTRO, an on-and-off RPer (depending on my mood), and I find I have far too little time to play MMOs anymore!
I am a rather mediocre machinima creator, although I'm working hard to improve, and rather recently I started a videocast on MMORPGs to go along with my gaming blog. Links to these sites appear in my signature below.
When I'm not gaming or making bad videos, I'm listening to music, teaching myself to play the guitar, or working.
Hi I'm Mistrel or better known on Nimrodel as Andi (short for various names, see sig). My current main is a 65 hunter with my warden quickly catching up. When I'm not working I am either playing LOTRO or (when the server is down) DDO, or reading (pretty much anything). My only other hobby is cross-stitch.
I'm ready to start a new toon and help new players come to love this game as much as I already do.
AKA Adanarien, Andiralen and Andralen on Nimrodel
Saelarwen on Elendilmir
Andirien on Imladris
Hello there! I am known as Arnhas on the LoTRO forums. LoTRO is my first and only MMO, and though I've been playing for several years and have experienced the content repeatedly, I still love it! The Champion was my first class, but when the Warden came with Moria I jumped ship and haven't looked back. My newest love is the Captain, a class I look forward to learning in earnest. My out of game hobbies include writing all manners of prose, reading, and occasionally watching television.
I think I'll be joining Imladris. My main is currently on Brandywine and his name is Ampthalion. Most people just call me Amp, but if I get the name I am looking for here it won't be anywhere close to Amp. lol I'm not entirely sure what I will be rolling here, but it is probably going to be a hobbit burglar. I don't happen to have a hobbit yet, so it seems like a good choice to finally pick one up and gives me something different here from Brandywine. My RL server is Lenoir, NC and I am level 26. Most of my time is currently invested in college since it just started back up again. I attend Appalachian State University and I will be earning a bachelor's in Archaeology. Looking forward to meeting new friends here on Imladris.
Rezzeh from Elendilmir here, everyone calls me Rez. I missed the launch of lotro by about two months back in the day, so I'm looking forward to the experience of being part of a brand new server =)
I've been around since closed beta 2, and played on a couple of different servers, and a bunch of different classes. I figure I'll multitask between vilya and imladris to assist new players coming. Not sure which class I will play, but possibly a minstrel.
Currently playing a warden named Mikeala. She is just going to be the gatherer for my crafters. Still probably going to roll a minstrel at some point though. Its the only class I've not really pushed to the higer levels.

I've played a number of MMORPGs but I've never found one with such a helpful and friendly community as LOTRO. I'll be rolling an alt (Elf, class yet to be determined) on Imladris and watching the advice channel to try and answer questions. My boyfriend is also a confirmed altoholic and will probably roll a tank or Minstrel here as well. My main is an Elf hunter on Landroval.
I live in Michigan and am a psychology major. When I'm not gaming or studying, I'm (slowly!) learning Sindarin and Quenya. Over this past summer, I did an informal Jungian-based study of Lord of the Rings just to see the story from a new angle. Oh yes, major bookworm *adjusts glasses*
This will be my first time getting to see a brand new server, all new and shiny, sounds fun!
I am Zach, better known to the folks of LotRO as "Estel" or "Cara". I'm 19 years old, a college student from Southern California. I've been playing since SoA, spent most of that time on Nimrodel Server in the Gallant Few Kinship. LotRO is my first and only MMO.
I look foward to the new start on Imladris, and to working and playing with all of you! If you want to know more or talk, don't be afraid of sending me a message, ./t or in-game mail
and just for fun . . .
Imogæn the Cruel & many others, Fulminata of Elendilmir
I'm a founder/lifer since closed beta back in 2007. This is my first and only MMORPG as well, luckily never trapped by my WoW playing friends. I started on Silverlode, but with the option of new servers, I'm taking the leap to Imladris.
I'm a 24 year old college student, and when not playing or working I enjoy reading, mostly fantasy (a lot of Anne Bishop recently).
I look forward to meeting and hunting with you all! Feel free to say hello!
I will be making Imladris my new server, playing as a Captain named Aelwyn and a Guardian named Aerik. I am still relatively new to LotRO, having played since October of 2009. I have played lots of other MMO's, with Asheron's Call 1 still claiming the top spot in my list of favorites. I am excited to take part in a brand new server, and hope to make lots of friends here.
I am quite a quest completionist, and plan to continue that tradition here on Imladris. My goal is to complete every quest I can find at least once. Probably an unrealistic goal, but I plan on doing my best. If anyone has questions about obscure quests or wants another partner, please feel free to contact me. Odds are I have done it before, or at least done some research on it.
While I typically do not RP in MMO's, I am planning on trying it in-game here. Please be patient if I am slow in typing and replying.
my name is David and I am absolutely new to MMORPG. The closest thing to this was probably a 1 1/2 year tour on diablo 2 (named D-Dave) which was a blast simply because I had the luck of meeting a few very nice people to play with.
Anyway, I thought a more quiet place like Imladris would be a good place to start with LOTRO and I've been doing this with my first Character Dedalos (Champion, because I read it's a preety straight forward and newbie compatible class).
I'm in my mid 30s and like to play a few houres after work maybe 2-3 times a week (RL comes first) generaly I am on around 17.00 till 20.00 GMT+1 (Germany) and would love to find some nice folks to play with and learn from.
So, if you would like to join me on a few quests or just give me a relaxed tour of middlleearth (well those parts a mid 20 LVL char can survive, that is) just chat me up ingame or if I miss the chat send a mail...

Welcome aboard. Hope you find the game relaxing. Send me a tell in the game if you need help.
Let me hijack this thread.
I used to [play from release to the to first book patch (1.13 I think, not sure).
a couple days ago decided to give it a go, and this server was the random choice.
I am playing a Dwarf Guardian who will is specializing on Block.
I started this round as a fresh account, F2P, and updated to Sub at lev 19 for the mount skill quest, and all the other perks like AH sales and quest packs up to Angmar.
I focus my gameplay on PVE teamplay, and crafting.
At this point I am working on crafting support alts, while running GBs on peak time (main is on early twenties).
Just want to greet the community, and see you all in Imladris.
PS: I missed moments like being in the AH or craft hall and some guy pops in and plays "Stairway to heaven", or "Fear of the dark".
Greetings all, I'm Harnath in-game, I'm a fairly new player, and even more new to the forums, So, im currently a level 40 hunter, the leader and instigator of a kinship known to most as "The Hunters Tribe" (and I have yet to hear it be called anything else). And, by the way it's recruiting more than hunters now! (Healers, Tanks, etc.) I am very interested in my lute, and have several songs in my repertoire. If you see me in-game, feel free to make a playlist suggestion, or even ask for me to play a song. Lushburz is my pvmp character until Harnath reaches Level 75.
