We are looking to add to our ranks! We are looking for both end game ready players as well as players who are just looking for a kin to join to have fun and socialize in.
~We are rank 10 and have a kin house
~We have a Ventrilo server
~We have a website (link off my signature)
~We have SM Kindred Crafters of every profession
~We have strong alliances with a few other kinships as well as a private chat channel to communicate with our allies.
~We have a 2nd kinship called "The Forgotten Alts" - for those toons we don't play very often. This gives us a 2nd kin house to store class items and consumables!
~Our players are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and capable. We will help you learn your class without giving you attitude.
~We have a large contingent of players from the pacific time zone so we are on fairly late server time
~We have a large contingent of players from Europe as well as officers in Britain and Norway - so there is usually an officer on 24 hours
~We have a Roh...that's right...a Roh....if u r intrigued why not apply?
If you are looking to be an active and helpful player who wants to make a contribution to the kinship you are in - you will be welcomed with open arms, and your attitude will be reciprocated...regardless of your skill level.
If you are a gimme gimme gimme player please do not apply. lol
If you are interested in joining vigilance please go to our website (link of my sig) and apply or find an officer or member in game.
And whatever you choose, remember to have fun

These people rock! You should definitely check them out, a very compassionate, close nit, and focused kinship. You can expect many great things from this group!
Best of luck Vigilance!
I agree. I joined an HoC run a couple of nights ago with this kin on my champ (Danefrith) and I was very pleased with the way they handled themselves. Very serious when its time for being serious, and relaxed otherwise. And they were all very good at their class (I forget the healer's name, which means a lot as far as I'm concerned. I've raid healed in other mmo's and in my opinion when you finish a run and think to yourself "who healed that?" it means the healer did a great job).
And thanks again to Bigmac for a great job tanking and leading the run.
Good Luck with the recruiting.
"You see, there's this thing called aggro."
"It's a very complicated, very technical roleplaying expression. Loosely translated, it means 'the healer dies'."
Danefrith - L75 Champion
We have added quite few solid "end game oriented" and some "casual" players as well - - - and there is room for more! We are looking for end game focused healers (there is always room for heals lol) but are not partial to classes!
And as always we are open to anyone who wants to join a fun, friendly and helpful kinship regardless of your level!
Vigilance is a great kin to be in! The members are just awesome, friendly, and helpful. Everyone's really laid back, and it's clear that we enjoy the game and play it for fun. I encourage anyone looking for a solid, friendly kin to join up.
My buffs bring all the DPS to the yard, and they're like "I wanna crit hard!"
We also have a fledgling creep tribe, negligence, that is recruiting players at any rank, class and skill level. You do not need to be a member of vigilance to join our tribe. The only thing we ask is that you would have been a good fit for vigilance (adult, casual, friendly ect ect). Send me a pm here on the lotro forums or on our website if you are interested
Our creep tribe didnt work out because it took resources/player time from our already smallish freep kin. We are always recruiting for any class and any level. We are looking for players who are interested in a relaxed/mature/casual atmosphere with a smaller group of close-knit players. We run end-game content but we are not a raiding kin. We also spend alot of time leveling alts, so dont expect a constant tour through the end-game stuff.
Wow! Thanks to Murt and Jay and others for your kind posts about our kinship!
I'd like to add my own story to the thread because I've had a great experience as a member and officer of vigilance over the years. I originally joined a small kinship of seven or eight real-life friends when LotRO first hit the shelves a few years ago. Within a year most of those had dropped out because they were already hardcore players of another popular MMORPG. I had the fortune to have met Thorvold and Allathorn, two of our longest-running members, and had great experiences fellowing them, so I asked to join vigilance when my original kin disbanded. To a person, the members and officers of vigilance were kind, funny, welcoming and helpful, and I can say with confidence that we continue that tradition today.
I want to especially recommend our kinship to those of you who enjoy people and who like to have fun while you work on in-game goals instead of working on in-game goals to have fun. We have members from around the world and players of all ages and levels of experience. If you find yourself in too small of a kin to run end-game content regularly or in a large kin that demands too much or favors senior members, you should give vigilance a try.
Our group goals currently include running Helegrod and Annuminas instances typically at level 50 or so to acquire marks for armour and items, running the School/Library at Tham Mirdain for superiour third marks, as well as Great Barrows: Thadur. We run Halls of Crafting, various Moria instances such as Grand Stairs as well as those necessary for the various level 58 class quests. We periodically do Sword Halls and Sammath Gul in Mirkwood and are currently working toward kin runs for the Thror's Coomb dailies in Enedwaith. We work together as a kin to help players work through things like Carn Dum/Urugarth and the Volume II epic line as needed. Although we spend most of our time together doing these types of instances and questing, there are several regular PvMP players as well.
Please do not apply if you "want stuff" or expect any type of power-leveling. This being said, we have supreme master crafters of every kind as well as players who are masters of the various classes and game content, and we are not selfish with our abilities, time or knowledge. We simply like to enjoy the game ourselves, so we hope you are willing to invest some amount of personal effort in developing your toon rather than expecting us to do it for you. I only say this because we occasionally (though rarely) get some greedy recruits.
Should you be a new player looking for what class might work best with our current group, Rune-keepers and Lore-masters would be especially useful, although we do not discriminate on the basis of class for any reason.
I know that there are a lot of great players out there looking for a kin like ours. If you think you might like our group, please reply to this thread or look for me in-game! See you in Middle-Earth! (Stab an orc for me!)
Hurst, 65 Champion, Race of Men
Telinthir, 65 Minstrel, Elf
Hothran, 65 Guardian, Dwarf
Theodrith, 65 Lore-master, Race of Men
Hursthelion, 65 Captain, Race of Men
Hallebrand, 58 Burglar, Hobbit
Greetings to both the Kinship Vigilance and its fellow allies. I thought I would do this on both the site and on the forums. I would like to try and join Vigilance. This kinship seems like a very friendly endgame kinship from what I read on the site and all the posts on this thread. I am low level at the moment and on the east coast but I am playing warden which I really enjoy and would love to learn how to play it more efficiently and I usually do my gaming at night anyway so I would be able to group with other members when a group is formed. Don't worry I am not a "beg for everything". I hope I will be able to join the kinship and be apart of it and the great alliance they have formed with the other great kins.
Greetings all. I am a mature expericenced MMO player looking to explore and learn more about LOTRO with a similar group of players. Few quick points about me:
1) 7 years of EQ play time - End game guild
2) 4 years WoW play time - End game guild
3) Been playing LOTRO for 4 months now
- Most my time has been spent solo
- Have a 61 Champ, 56 Hunter, 26 Capt, 20 Burg, 16 RK
4) Have just about maxed out all the crafting professions across these charaters (scholar is tough - Need more texts!)
5) Am an in EST time zone and generally have play time after 8 PM (a 3 year old and a 9 month old at home)
I am really looking for a guild that I can group with and assist in all the content that requires groups (Instance, Skirmish, areas not easy to solo) and learn more about the in game content. I enjoy assisting others and ask little in return.
If you are interneted in granting me a 'trial', please contact me in game. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Dubwin - 56 Hunter
Budwin - 61 Champ (currently in a great small guild, but average 4 - 6 players on at any given time. Group play very limited)
Hi There! Did you solo your way to 65? Do you find yourself getting frustrated when grouping at endgame? (or are others getting frustrated at you?) We can help you learn your class and the difference between soloing and group play! We are gearing up for Isen, so if you have not found a kinship yet take a look at vigilance. We are recruiting all classes.

We are always recruiting at all levels and classes, but right now we are particularly end game focused. Almost all of active members have at least one 75 who is running end game instances. We are running 12 person skirms on saturday afternoons (usually 3pm est) and we just started running draigoch on sundays at 3pm est (we have been running draigoch with section ix for the last month and are now trying to run it with all kin members). We run in the afternoons eastern time because a good portion of our members are European, so if you are from a Euro timezone check us out. We have 2-4 open spots depending on signups and availablity, and we are looking for mini's, burgs, guards and captains in no particular order (all classes are welcome to apply). If you would like to hear more about us or are interested in joining, pst or mail to Aaman, Khel or Rohirion.
