    Help---> Returning champ needs advice

Hey there people I need some help with my level 51 Man Champion.

The last time I played him was when the Mines of Moria had just came out so he is really out-dated and in need of a serious re-boot.

If you guys can please give me advice on how to get him up to stuff I'd appreciate it a lot.

    Ok here are his stats.
    MORALE: 3,078 POWER: 1,605 ARMOUR 3,342
    MIGHT: 424
    AGILITY: 344
    VITALITY: 331
    WILL: 160
    FATE: 160

    Here are his Virtues:
    Discipline - 6
    Determination - 8
    Loyalty - 6
    Zeal - 5
    Innocence - 6

Please help me with which virtues and stats I should be focusing on. Also I need some good gear for my level so any advice on that would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome back to the class, man. First off, I think you've got some great virtues. Just make sure to rank 'em up. They can really help a LOT. I nearly always run with Discipline, Determination, Loyalty, Valour, and Justice. Others, of course, may find more suitable combos, but those five have served me well.

Also, if I recall correctly, around 56 or so, you can get some of the Khazad-gold jewelry. (I think that's what the set is called. It's been quite a while.) That drastically upped my morale/power. Once you get to 58/60, try to get the Glowing Aureate jewelry. It really boosts the champion's most beloved stats: Might, Agility, and Vitality. Will/Fate are hardly a concern. The Glowing Aureate set is one of the best generic sets in the game. Make sure that they aren't the "Warrior's Necklace" or something like that. Glowing Aureate is best.

For armour, try to get into some rad runs to get the medallions needed for your Blademaster suit. You'll have to lvl up to about 58 before anyone will let you tag along, though. Since the new barter system for the radiant gear, the most commonly run instance is the Grand Stair a.k.a GS. Once you lvl up enough, just say "/lff Champion for GS run" and people will come runnin' hehe. Perseverance is key, my Brother in Arms! Keep at the quests in the different regions of Moria. The shadowy deeps can be daunting and confusing, but don't give up. If you need help finding more quests for your lvl, there should be plenty of people willing to give you some info.

I hope this helps you out, man. Feel free to ask for any more advice.

I'm assuming that since you played a bit after MoM came out, you have your first legendaries and have done some questing in Eregion.

Based on this assumption, I would follow the above post. If you're comfortable getting into Moria, start doing quests, particularly the epic ones. There's fairly decent gear coming from quests and also from the 2 rep factions. Basically try to get to lvl 58 to get into the radiance gear grind. There are currently so many people running GS on a daily basis that you should have no problem. This should also speed up your leveling quite a lot, and as an added bonus there's nice jewelry and gear that you can use even at end game. I know I still use my Insidious Cuffs (they drop from last boss) on my champ. There's a nice cloak, a heavy helm that would be useful if you don't have anything better, a nice earring and shield for a tanking build, if you're into it.

As you're gearing up, try to work on the solo parts of the book if you want the legendary skill that comes with it. Every once in a while people will look for groups to do the fellowship chapters, so you should be ready for it. Watch GLFF and regional LFF for other instances too, like HoC. There's definitely nice drops for champs in HoC, with a pocket item that is a personal favorite.

Don't stress too much on doing all of this at once. If Moria isn't your cup of tea, get out the other side and start doing the Lothlorien rep quests once you're the right level. You can always do the repeatables in Lorien and go back to do instances in Moria.

Virtues will help some, try to head back to some old areas once a week to get a rank here and there. I dislike the agility one in general. For elite killing virtues, wait until you are 65 to solo trolls in MM or saurnur or the like. I would slot justice over agility and call it good, just work on those ranks to get them all up to 8 at least, 10 when you can.

Your morale is a bit low. Try to slip it up to 4k ASAP as the changes since moria have made morale a higher priority than it once was -- enemy hits harder and potions, food etc do far less, making it good to have a bit more cushion.

Level 51 opens up a new set of crafted armor. Its not great, but you can probably find some updates if you look at the crit versions of this gear. Also, at 51 you can farm a legendary item at echad mirobel or just start watching the AH. A good legendary weapon is critical, and you also want to farm relics up to tier 5 and 6. As soon as you hit level 53, start to collect rusty dwarf tools off moria enemy, get a ton of champ items from the vendor, level them one time, and break them. This will get you the relics you need. Naturally, other items are popped at 51 too: K-copper jewelery can be decent, and you will want to look for a new offhand weapon (although penty to be had from quests--- given the LI system, its amazing how many quests give weapons in moria... sigh).

Also, make sure you joined a crafting guild and are working on rep with them, as the crafted relics are very important at higher levels, so you want to be able to make them when you get there.
