Thread: Skeleton Horse, Rhun Cosmetic pieces, Raven Cosmetic items, more later.

Here's the Skeleton Horse pics I snagged just yesterday. My Griffin meets Griffon, as one of his characters shows off the Skeletal Horsie for us. I read about the eyes, so I had to get a headshot, OH MY GOSH! /swoon!





My hobbit has on the new fall festival Raven items. Cloak of the Raven, and Raven Mask. (Also donned it in black, but Navy was cute, like a little bluebird. I expect Cardinal to be popular look too. Goldfinch... )

Griffon's character has on the Rhun Mask and Hauberk. (very egyptiany, imo.)

Just thought I'd share. I'm surprised noone had posted pics. But the skeleton horse is a very rare drop (a quest). So this was the first I had gotten to see it.

I've got a couple other nifty pics. One I was gonna try and transform into an animated gif. (Gosh my poor ImageReady program.. so neglected.)
And some other beta pics, when I think of it. I think everyone and their grandma took pics of the giraffe horsie.

The horse can drop in a haunted house in the Shire during the fall festival. Think of the hedge maze, but with plenty of nasties and ghosties and scary things

I posted some cosmetics in the big thread but they will get lost in there - oh well but if I get in trouble for posting them again, I am blaming you.

I didn't want to add the huge graphic loading to the beta information thread, so I figured a nice large cosmetic spot to dump the goods in.

MyLotro seems to store them at full size. And me not having time to prettify them.

Someone should post pictures of the Dragonfly Cloak soon. That's THE most amazing looking cloak in the game, imo! It's so gorgeous.

grey company a faction? if so, guess I'll be grinding to kindred, that has to be the best looking horse in game IMO.

Yeah, fine fine...

1. Wait for Fall Festival 2010.
2. Receive mail from Opal Goodbody in mailbox about Festival, which will tell you to check out the Party Tree.
3. Turn the mail in to her for a token and a guide to party stuff.
4. Talk to Opal again and she will start a questline involving stuff. (really don't want to spoil the story. It's cute and worth actually reading for Bilbo-worth flavour.)
5. Complete that questline for entrance permission into the Haunted Cellar/Burrow. Give Lobelia her just desserts!
6. Explore the place, do all the quests. (optional, but a major part of the fun. There's one Inn League quest, and I believe an AA quest too.) Title when completed- Burrower.
7. Find the mystery door for some mystery boxes. Usually get tokens out of them, but I've gotten housing items from them. I don't know if the quest can be found in any of these, but loot is loot. (Cooldown I think is 1 hour, so I doubt the horse quest drops from these, but I don't know.)
8. Find the other hidden chest. (Has a cooldown of 24 hours.) A very rare drop from the chest is a piece of paper with a quest.
9. Park character at Party Tree and repeat step 8 daily, til completed.
10. Once found, open it up and complete the quest it gives. (Sorry I don't know exactly what it entails.)
11. Own Steed.
12. Show off Horsie, Pony.

Aye. The two new factions are The Grey Company and Algraig, Men of Enedwaith.


Also! AA and Inn League mounts. The Inn League mount has a drunken effect while riding, not very strong, but enough to tint the screen a bit sepia. The Ale Association goat is... well, a goat, but its horns are curly than any other goat. Both have four mini-kegs on them, and a mug or two handing off the left side.

The old Annuminas and Helegrod sets are also cosmetics that you can barter from the new Classic vendor at Skirmish Camps for SMs, btw.

And as of last update, the new Annuminas and Helegrod sets aren't dyable.

It's the mount for the Grey Company faction. You need to be Kindred with the Grey Company, and trade in 20 Gold Tokens of the Wilds.

Thankfully, by the time you finish all the quests in Enedwaith (and the epic) you should be Ally, and have almost 20 tokens. The rest can be gotten from quests in Thror's Coomb, most of which are small fellowship, but a few of which can be easily solo'd.

Um, no. It's not purchasable in the store at all.

None of the new rep mounts are available in the store (Grey Company, Inn League, Ale Association or Skeleton Horse [Ok, that last ones not a rep horse, but its not available, so I threw it in there]).

Bad news: You have to stay still, so no riding around while playing, but still a cool change.

They are dyable, but most of the sets have large swathes of "swag" that isn't affected by dye. The Warden Helepic armor, though, is pretty bare and thus shows the effects of dye fairly readily.

Answered in the post I posted the pic, but I'll elaborate.

You hafta stay put to play, or your character puts their instrument away, music mode canceled. However you can turn and wiggle your horse while playing. I probably should fuss with it a bit more, I seem to recall some oddities with it, but it was a very quick pose and screenshot.

I was planning on purchasing the Dragonfly cloak too, but on a diff character, for storage reasons, then I forgot, when the dreaded 'where's my stuff!?' bug hit, just by buying my swan-cloak.

Of course.

Here are the Falling Leaves, Swan, Algraig, Dragonfly, Northern Lights, and Sunset Wood cloaks.

I had actually bought ALL the store cloaks, robes, hauberks, hats, hoods, backpacks etc just so I could take screenies but then when I went to take screenies... the server was down.

I knew I should have just taken the screen shots when I got them! *curses self*
