I'm actually not sure. I've heard that the Eregion land has rainbows, but this is my 4th character to go through there, and the first time I can remember seeing one. A kinmate posted another great pic from a time when he was venturing into Eregion, and the rainbow was in a similar place. Cool deal either way.

LOL. You just made my day Joyful. I don't think I've seen a rainbow in Lotro that I can remember. I have seen the Northern Lights tho in Forochel. Not quite as amazing as a Full On Rainbow!
Just a side note from something I learned on another part of the forums...toggle F12 removes your GUI (on/off) so you can take a screen without all the clutter. I've taken a lot of screens in game and am glad I can remove the GUI stuff now.

I've seen maybe 4 in my 2 years of playing or so. Most recent was at the hobbit race area just a few days ago. I'll try to find my screenshot. I like taking shots and using them for desktop images. The scenery is so good in this game. Honestly, it's a part of the appeal. A good environment is part of making a good game. I never realized that as much as I have since I started playing Lotro 2 years ago.
I had to do a thumb nail so you can click to see the full image. I forgot how big it would be and didn't want to bog anyone down. I really like this shot.

wow nice screenshots all! @wardad, I know you can f12 to get rid of the UI, but at my resolution (either 800x600 or 1024x768) it wasn't really worth it. Now on the home PC, that would be MUCH different
I didn't realize it was that uncommon of a phenomenon though. I'll have to remember that for the next time I see one. Hopefully it'll be at home and I can get one of those great SS's in like Nykoma and Soph. Perhaps we may even get a DOUBLE RAINBOW soon (dev's, pretty please?)

I also like taking SS's for my desktop bg. This one is one of my favs.
I just need to remember to set my graphics on ultra high before taking SS's then trying to remember what the settings where for PvMP and PvE. We should be able to save graphic presets for different occasions like the /ui layout command...
It's interesting when people tell me they know someone with that name. It seems to be fairly uncommon these days, which is nice on one hand. On the other, however, it means we can never find those little souvenir mugs and keychains with her name on it. =[
