You're about the only guy who can pull this thread off amidst all the other current threads. +rep to you- you exude an aura of "relax everyone, its just a game- and RL is not gonna kill you either".

1- Bucolic Virginia horse country about 45 mins outside of Washington, DC. No horses tho.

2- 41-- married with two wonderful lil daughters. Biggest fear is that they'll someday want a horse, which is a bigger money pit than a boat, and a bigger time sink than the moors.

3- Lead a software sales team for a large technology company.

4- My Fri night LOTRO drink varies. Problem is that I sometimes play during YOUR friday night, which is my friday morning. You downunder folk have so much fun that I sometimes have to sneak a beer past the missus to join the party. I mostly blame Smeg for the pressure, since we have mandatory beverage breaks and sculling ready-checks in his groups. I made it thru seven years of college, didn't even know what sculling was! Now I have to blame Naba for that. Where's the logout button?

You sir have a questionable taste in beer!!!

1- Sam Adams...perhaps the best of your list...but not preferable in my book, I can handle some Sam now and then. That said I'd rather drink cold Dunkin Donuts Coffee >_>

2) Schlitz....they say Schlitz gives you the...well I'm sure you can come up a bathroom occurance that rhymes with Schlitz

3) Narragansett...I had to look this up to be certain. This is the second time I've been exposed to this stuff in the past 2 weeks, previously I have never heard of it. Described to me as poor man's Sam.

4) PBR....well, it's PBR, celebrated for it's low price....and that's pretty much it. I used to drink PBR.... coincidently I had chronic heartburn around the same time. The heartburn went away after I stopped drinking PBR. I'm sure that was a coincidence as well

I'm trying to be mindful of the recession when throwing parties Give PBR, Schlitz, and Narragansett a chance if you can get them... I think you'd be surprised. They've all gone back to their pre-bankruptcy, pre-1970's formulas recently.

Of course, being from Burlington you may very well be a beer snob and dismiss all three as **** - I would too if I lived down the street from VPB and Magic Hat!

Hahaha, Beer Snob is a good description I suppose...though. Truth be told, I've only had 1 Magic hat brew that I really enjoyed, Mother Lager. The rest just leave a bitter taste in my mouth... literally. VPB is quite good though, as is Long Trail and Otter Creek. I'm not big on the fruit infused beer, but I have a soft spot for Blackberry Wheat kudos to the wife for her choice. That said there is one local brew that I hold in very high regard, and I probably would have never been exposed to it had I not moved here. It's called Switchback, it's brewed 20 minutes from my house, near impossible to find this stuff outside of Vermont. The guy doesn't even bottle it, he only brews into kegs. I seriously can't get enough of Switchback and I've considered a kegerator for this stuff.

I have a number of co-workers and friends who brew their own and I've considered trying it myself. Keep your eyes out for Junkyard brand beer
