Recently, due to kin member's curiosity of the moores, I have lead a few small groups. It's quite a different dynamic than the nightly main raid. It has served as a well needed rest.
Sure I could leave the moores and go fish on the banks of the Brandywine, but the never ending draw to the moores will not let up. So night after night, one may find me roaming the map with the raid, or laying dead in ec, because I chose to take a solo jaunt.
Small groups offer a nice change to the intensity of the main raid. I realize many feel that small groups actually damage the main raid by taking from their numbers, or cause other issues because they may not be in communication with anyone. I, however have enjoyed my time in them. It's a bit more personal and a really nice change. A well needed rest, one could say.
I have nothing against a main raid. Most nights I am in them, and even in my small group, I support them. Yes, a raid will get more kills, and Yes, a raid can hard-mode a keep, but there is something I really enjoy about a group of 5 to 10. Just making an observation is all. A special thanks to those who have joined my group or invited me into thiers.
See you out there!
Vin

It's awesome that you found a new style of play and are leading the show Vin! As you know, small grouping is my preferred way to play. One of the most pronounced things you develop when small grouping, especially if you do it with the same peeps, is strong chemistry. Keep rocking with your kinnies and before long, you will all be well-oiled killing machines.
I completely agree! I think small groups are typically my favorite. I run solo often at the beginning of my night, and pick up some kinmates later on. If I can't get any solo or 1 vs. 2 fights, I will join a raid. Or, if I feel like healing
All three styles of play are viable and acceptable. There is no reason anyone should feel bad for not joining the main raid--in fact small groups are sometimes better. Last night while the main raid was pushing TR, Alphanova's small group saved LC from a sneak creep attack.

I agree, Vin. Sometimes smaller groups are a little more relaxed than the raid, and you can really get to know the people you're playing with. It's been good to get to know you and your kinmates these last few days. *grins*
