As much as I want to tell you off.....

Get a ATI Radeon 5770 - great bang for your buck. If you can afford a 5870, get one.

Id advise a ****** video card so you are unable to play around to many creeps and are forced to solo and i shall hunt you down

Will that 5770 run ultra in pvp? I can afford better but with how quickly these die, and my last one being 500$~ only lasting a few years, I'm not pouring cash into these machines anymore. I actually miss lotro lol! (weird), look forward to dying to angry village people soon.

NVIDA > ATI by far imo. both are good but NVIDA chips are the best...

The GeForce series is really good. im using the 9800 and can run very high in all but 24v24 fights and maintain 100+ fps.

I'm also using the 9800. For me, it runs everything Ultra high at about 60fps, but when any more than any more than two groups are in an area my fps drops significantly. 24 on 24 i find myself staring at 0.0fps much more than i should. I don't know if its the video card, my comp, or my connection, but something is slowing my game play. The 9800 works great for soloing/small grouping though!

nVIDIA cards are great while they work, but my experience (personal/family/friends) is that ATI cards have fewer reliability issues. Your mileage may vary...

I used to have a 9800, 5770 is about 3x the card the 9800 is, it's also smaller, and less heat is produced on the card (it's cooler).

I can run not 1 but 2 Ultra High Clients with no problems. (1 client = ~95 fps) depending on the rest of your specs. 5870 = 2 5770's...... you get the picture. The 5770's were the single best GPU cards for the past 6 months till the new behemoths came out from NVIDIA (overpriced, barely better, not worth it)

    Plus the 5770 is DX11 Capable! =)

smaller? every single 5770 I've looked at is dual slot where the 9800 is single slot. who makes the single slot 5770?
