Re: Metalsmithing Recipes
say 5-6 hours grinding for ore.. not that much compared to how long it would take if you went ore hunting for the entire amount.
Yes you have now reached GM but with 0 components left. If you wish to do any further crafting its back to buying ore (as long as it not from Gold Farmers) or out hunting ore...
Yes you will earn a small amout of money for the Ancient Steel tools you sell, but would you be better off if you crafted components (6 crafting points up until book 10 comes out), this way when you reach GM you wont need to do as much ore hunting...
Components+ Finished Product= Quicker to GM/More time later ore hunting (or buying ore)
Components Only= Slower to GM, more ore hunting now.... but less ore hunting later.. plus your products are Master Crafted.... which sell for more...
Having said all that... I have never bothered working out how much the coal costs are

Re: Metalsmithing Recipes
Unfortunately it looks like it is still more efficient to grind Iron Chains for Tier 3, it will just take longer than it did before, but still more efficient than making actual armor.

Re: Metalsmithing Recipes
Kol,
Thank you for the guides, I love them. Can you please add the level requirement for Tools in Tiers 1-3 like you did on Tier 4 and 5?

Re: Metalsmithing Recipes
Guess what?!? It's time to start updating the list for Book 11.
I've got a better system set-up for getting the information now (no more alt-tabbing between the game and the forums repeatedly... ugh), so it shouldn't take me quite as long, but I'd love any help anyone can give.
This list is probably going to be the 4th one I hit... so it still might be a few days until I get it updated.
Thanks!Kol & Alts (Kolril, Kolren, Kolbrandr, Kolbladnir)

Re: Metalsmithing Recipes
Bump...
Also, are the ingredients for making the newer (single-use) polished armor pieces (the "new" ones being those that use Beryl Shards and not mob parts) the same except for the bery shard/mob part part?

Re: Metalsmithing Recipes
Now that we have separate forums for each type of crafting is there any chance this post can be moved to the Metalsmithing forum and stickied?

Re: Metalsmithing Recipes
Hey everyone,
So the Lorebook entries now show item effects! Woot!
That pretty well makes this list obsolete. Does anyone want to see me continue to update it?Kol & Alts (Kolril, Kolren, Kolbrandr, Kolbladnir)

I've found this very useful for making sure my list of recipes is complete, but the stats for the recipes seem to have changed. Hopefully it will be updated.
