I've had a few goes recently with myself as MT for the Lt. and attempting to remove corruptions and also assisting a Guard. If I was tank/standing in front of Lt. 9 out of 10 times the removal didn't work, if I was standing behind they worked 9 out of 10 times.
Obviously there's quite a difference in a mobs ability to b/p/e an attack from the front compared to an attack from behind but I wouldn't expect that much of a disparity.
Has anyone had experience doing this and/or any suggestions for options in trait/gear build to assist? TIA.

my suggestion would be let the guard tank since once his corruption removal is on him you know exactly when the corruption is going to be removed and (I assume) you want the yellow corruption off as soon as possible so you queue up reversal as soon as you see his removal on the LT and hit it as soon as it's removed and if it misses then you have the time to queue another.
that's how my kin does it anyways, I think next time I'm going to hit reversal prematurely and remove the one before yellow (forogot color) so if mine doesn't land it will be removed and I can just queue another reversal to remove the yellow.
now if you really insist on being MT you can do something similar and have other classes remove one before yellow while you're ready with reversal for the second to give enought time to queue it fast with masteries but unfortunately the only one that is 100% predictable is the guard's corruption removal. (yes sting sometimes doesn't land but once it starts ticking on the mob it's going to remove it)

thanks for the reply, I know what all the normal/easy ways of doing it are, I'm looking for options to improve my capability to do it. The reason for doing it is not an insistance to MT but simply a method of maximising player useability - if we can swap a Guard out for a Warden AND the Warden can handle corruptions solo then there is room for an additional ranged player AND those with burst corruption don't have to break off dps to do it.
I think that using a sword for the inherent lower miss chance is the only thing you can do to decrease your miss rates... a sword and high agility. You cannot reduce the rate at which the LT can B/P/E your attacks, and since he is a higher level as well as a boss, he'll B/P/E more than most mobs.

I see what you mean, even having a minstrel stand near the LT and herald's strike when you miss would help a lot though.

LM should trait SoP:Command and keep it on at all times (if possible, the power cost isn't really too much, you could even call out to have it put on right before you need to remove the corruptions) but you are still going to miss a lot b/c he is higher level

Well I just wanted to throw out SoP:C traited only reduce's block and evade by 2% and parry by a tiny bit more (even less on the lt)
My suggestion is to just at 30-40% blue you start using reversal and just keep hitting it and tell another raid member you are doing it (RK or LM) and the second the blue drops the other should clear red. Make sure if you ask a LM to do it the have -physical resist on their book maxed. Take off yellow at your discretion or ask another person to do it if it costs too much power
