    Good Champion endgame offhand?

    Greetings champion forums!

I was just wondering what a good offhand for a level 65 champ would be? I'll be hitting 65 soon, and would like to be prepared

I remember there being threads discussing this, but search is yielding nothing :'(

    Thanks!

Lanchigil, from one of the v2 epilogue quests, is a pretty good offhand until you can get the (I think it's BG) sword that's an upgraded version.

    The dagger is 85 - 142 Beleriand, +20 might, +20 agility, +183 morale +126 melee crit and +126 parry.

For non-drop gear, Curulang (78-130 Common damage +19M +19A +19V +19W +84 morale + 76 power) is an okay off-hand sword for a champ and can be acquired with no rep from rep vendors in Mirk-eaves right away upon getting into Mirkwood. Useful until you luck into a nice drop from an instance. I think I have Lanchigil, can't remember why I didn't decide to change, probably due to not wanting to give up the vitality and will for a small uptick in morale and +1 to M/A. Is the +126 melee crit on the dagger nice or just a small up tick? Beleriand is definitely a nice upgrade for damage. Hm, here's to hoping I didn't sell it and stuffed it in the bank after deciding not to use it initially.

Or the axe from the Lieutenant. It has the same stats/weapon damage as Torvegil, but Dwarves or axe-lovers may want that one

I used the Malledhrim Mace of Force before getting the off-hand drop in Sammath Gûl. Both have a great melee crit.

The DPS stat on your off-hand IS a significant source of damage, so don't neglect this. If you have to grab an off-hand with lower DPS because you haven't gotten one of higher yet, fine, but upgrade at your earliest opportunity. I suggest Harthadron from SG until you can get Torvegil, Gaelhathol, or Mirist.

Manadhram and Amarthdring are also nice. From Gorothul.

    No, they're not.

I will use Manadhram when I need the morale - but my outgoing dps is more important than the morale, so I tend to stick with Harthadron. I do keep this in my vault, though.
Amarthdring has no melee crit, so it gets vendored.
