Since there are no dumb questions. . .

I'm in need of a polished sapphire to make an etched steel emblem. The question is, where do I find one?

I checked the auction house, nada.

Can someone help me out? Gawd knows, I've got heap of uncut - and presumably unpolished - sapphires in my vault.

Any jeweler can help you (unless they are too low a level for that crafting); however, it might help to know which server you're on...

You walk into any crafting site, Bree is best, and ask in the global chat channel whether somebody can polish one for you.

There is no (very few buyers) for polished sapphires. There is no point in posting this product because you only have 30 slots. It is waste of time to post it. Have it mailed back to you because not one wanted it.

I typically sell unpolished gems of all tiers. Other jewelers will buy the gems to polish gem for crafting experience points.

I should very easy to use a general channel like trade in Bree. State - I need a polished sapphire. Have unpolished sapphires. Any jewelers want some free crafting experience points? Polish some of them for me.

It is unfortunate that the auction hall does not support Want To Buy (WTB) orders. Someone wanted a polished sapphire. They could put a WTB in. There are thousands of jewelers on Meneldor with polished sapphires stored away. One of them is going to see this WTB. Fill it.

I hope so. This is turning out to be a quest in itself.

Esteldin is a good place to ask, too, since that's an area that sapphires are found in. Go into the crafting hall there and use /say to ask. Also can try asking on the /trade channel.
