    Several different references say random conjunctions only occur on Signature or higher mobs, but I see random ones trigger on normal mobs with some frequency. Just thought I'd point that out - several kinmates I asked said that they are more commonly seen on Sig+ mobs simply because the fights last longer = more time for the proc to occur.

    Question: I was in a PUG last night as my Minstrel and we were doing Chill of Bone. I was last and so I assume I was in control of the summoned oath breaker. I noticed that he would only attack if I got off an auto attach on my target. He wouldn't attack things that I was attacking otherwise. Does anyone know how to control the summoned shade well?

    The summoned shade will randomly choose a target in his aggro range and attack it. I'm pretty sure he doesn't attack enemies that are CC'ed (rooted or mezzed). I've never actually tested it, but I assume he uses the same AI as LM/Cpt pets in aggressive mode. You need to move within the shade's aggro range of the enemy to get him to attack.

    The devs have said a few times that random conjunctions ("[Player] has broken the defenses of [Enemy]") don't happen on normal and swarm mobs. The burglar's expose throat and the guardian's to the king skills can still start conjunctions on normal/swarm mobs, and while there's a random chance for those to start a conjunction, it's not the same kind of random conjunction that any attack can start (if that makes sense... ).

    Just the other day I killed 450 dourhands and 450 gauradain in Forochel in a group, and we didn't get any conjunctions. We didn't have a burglar and our guardian didn't have TTK slotted.

    There are 4096 possible conjunctions. I think most of them have been tried, so it's unlikely there are ones we don't know about. On the other hand, any patch could add new ones, and I hope there are going to be new ones added with the Moria expansion. We'll see.

    I think some of those 4096 possible conjunctions have been used for Monster-Players (PvMP)

    RYRYRY combinations similar to this one for example

    So my guess is that we won't be able to use those that we can find creepside.

    That's true, there are lots of creep ones. Different colors though, sort of... not sure if those count or not. I don't know of any overlap between regular and creep ones though, so maybe you are right.

    Here's some 'official' info on Rune-keeper contributions to CJ's from Zombie Columbus.

    "Fellowship Maneouvers?

    RK's, as a primary damage dealing class, have access to ranged Fellowship skills like the Hunter. Unlike the Hunter, the range on them is a flat 20m for all 4 contributions."

    Yay for a necro. Have we ever figured out those damage formulas? All I remember was that the the strength of each effect depended on the level of the player selecting the respective color.

    I was going over some old stuff and realized I have never tried to update the FM and WM entries in lorebook since MoM came out - has anyone tried to collect damage and heal data for the maneuvers at level 60?

    edit: err... hard to necro a sticky, isn't it? Came through a lorebook link, oh well, shows how often I come to the forums these days...

    Has anyone ever done an exact numerical study on conjunctions? Like the exact amounts of damage heal and power done? I say this because I think most of the dots seem very weak compared to the direct damage. Also it seems the HoT's from some basic moves (RRRRRG) are bigger than all G.

    Just wondering anyway.

    Just wondering: Lets say everyone in the group is fast and all press their contribution in under 1 second. Does the CJ fire off as soon as everyone contributes or is there a minimum time a CJ takes? Some one in game suggested that the fastest a CJ will fire off is 5 seconds (even if everyone has contributed). I seem to remember them firing off as soon as everyone contributes.

    They fire when the time expires. One common technique is to assign a simple conjunction. Whack the critter a couple more times while it is down. Then register your colors.

    One thing to remember, timing is kept track on the server. If you were busy with an induction skill, 3 seconds may have passed before the wheel appears. It is entirely possible you may never see the bulls-eye to change targets or the wheel. Therefore, you never get a chance to contribute to the fellowship skill.

    I seem to remember that there was an issue with damage and/or healing scaling with post level 50 CJs. Was this ever addressed?

    No, FMs post-50 are not as (relatively) good as they are at lower levels.

    We still use them, but there are times it's better to not even contribute. Many classes can do more damage just by using their normal attack skills, instead of pausing to wait for an FM to resolve.

    But they can provide decent AoE damage, and the Heals-over-time are nice to have. And it's always good to be able to heal or restore power on demand.

    And, they are still fun to do.

    I put together this site where people can go to learn about conjunctions and how to do straights specifically. There is also an interactive bit that people can use to practice conjunctions so they can get use to seeing how the patterns work and would instinctively know which color to hit (with enough practice).

    There is a sandbox app also in there which has all the conjunctions which are currently know/implemented. People can use this as a practice or just to check conjunctions.. e.g if someone was curious as to whether b b r g was a valid combo, they would do that combination and if it were valid it would give them the name of the maneuver.

    Ok here is a real question for you on FMs.

    What does more Damage YYYYYY or RRRYYY?

    the all yellow is not even really a 6 man conjunction it is a 4 man with 2 more yellow tacked on to the end.

    The unique RRRYYY works out to be Tramp of doom. it is a real 6 man FM and has a 5 man counterpart so even if only 5 people make it in you still get a real FM.

    I have been in a number of groups were they scream "all yellow!" at the start of the boss and I was just wondering if that really does more damage or if it is just seen as doing more damage.

    any help is greatly appreciated.

    I don't know which of those is better but one I've gotten a fellowship to do is RRRRRB. Does upfront damage, gives some power, and whoever did blue gets an oathbreaker pet for some time. Easily my favorite to use.

    1. Open your Options panel.
    2. Select the "Key Mapping" tag (bottom right).
    3. Scroll down almost to the bottom, you'll see a header called "Fellowship Manoeuvres".
    4. Select "Fellowship Skill Assist" to set a key.

    Pressing that key when the bulls-eye pops up will change your target to the mob on which the FM has been opened.

    RRRYYY does as much bleed damage as YYYYYY and it has a large up front AoE damage. I believe RRRYYY is the best CJ for overall damage. It does AoE damage so it will damage and wake nearby mezzed mobs.

    Right. YYYYYY is the same as the 4-long straight (YYYY) plus 2 single Y contributions -- in other words, not a lot of damage. Any of the named 6-long FMs should do more damage. If you don't want AoE, then either of the RRRRR-B/G should be almost as easy, and do more damage. But yeah, RRRYYY is going to do the most overall damage.

    That said, we really need to get some hard numbers; they were changed to make the easy ones less rewarding, and the hard ones more rewarding. So you might have good luck with Chill of Bone (B-YYYY-G) or March of the Ents (B-RRRR-G).

    I'm not aware of any new FMs yet; it sounded like some bosses will be vulnerable to certain ones. Maybe a bit like the Rift skirmish?

    The only conjunctions that I am aware of that they added with ROI is the specific set for the Draigoch raid. These CJ's have to be used in a specific order and can only be used on this boss and will no do anything anywhere else in Middle Earth. They are broken up into 3 sets of 4, and in order to complete Challenge mode, you have to complete all 12 CJ's, in order. They are as follows:
